The Beacon will always be the Arndale Centre to me - at least in the original area of the building. I lived in Eastbourne when the Arndale Centre opened and I can't see why building the "add on" part of the centre had to involve a new name for the whole establishment. Arndale is what it always was - a CENTRE! The Beacon is an indoor shopping mall with no centre at all. Personally I rarely bother with the new section. I go in by Clarkes shoes and out by the travel agent - possibly with a pit stop at the conveniences! You can keep your Beacon!

Since opening up on the 12th April the Beacon has really made the effort to ensure everyone's safety, great to see the shops open and important to support these shops going forward. Vaccination hub is really doing well.

Has the potential to be one of the best shopping centres. Beautiful architecture, looking forward to lively shops, some more shops such as a TK maxx, house of Fraser or a similar outlet store would compliment the shopping centre very well!

To few decent stores, the new bit is okay - however the old bit, especially with the loss of Burtons, Topshop etc. needs work, post pandemic the high streets going to struggle hopefully the management here have a plan to drag this place through!
