Facilities are fantastic and all the staff. We had our wedding there on the 22nd of May and Mian and Billy-Jo were outstanding with their assistance. We will be back at some point.

We have been to The Grand several times in the past, this time was for my wife’s special birthday. We booked a first floor suite with a huge sea view balcony...which was lovely. A little surprised that for the amount we were paying for the suite that parking wasn’t included, or at the very least, discounted as £25 a night is a little extreme. Reception, servers and housekeeping all perfect.
Dinner on the Sunday night was not. We were told we were going to be seated on a certain table, there were other people on our table...not a big problem, but waiting an hour for our main was, I asked for the beef and to be medium. When it eventually arrived, it was pink, almost raw and cold. The team offered to exchange/re cook/ re heat, however as it was now 10.00pm, we decided not to go for any of the options on offer. We spoke to the duty manager about how disappointed we both were....who was very apologetic...but that was it!. The following morning breakfast and service was spot on...and we were given an amazing table. Just a further point the baskets of pastries, inedible rolls, with 2 slices of burnt cold toast, should, we believe, be replaced with traditional toast, brown or white!

Spa was excellent but let down by poor slow service in restaurant which was not good enough considering the hotel rating and cost. Staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly apart from some of the restaurant staff who did not seem to care about their service.

We were looking for a short break with a bit of luxury and this is exactly what the Grand Hotel provided. The Garden Restaurant was very traditional and the food was excellent. We used the outside swimming pool which was very relaxing at the end of the day. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed dinner and an overnights stay - very relaxing. The hotel maintained all COVID restriction and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner in the Garden Restaurant.
The Concierge was very helpful with parking.

My stay at Grand Hotel Eastbourne was mixed experience but mostly good. The hotel was at full capacity for the first week to re-open. When I checked in, the receptionist obviously did not like me. She gave me a terrible room facing chimney (almost like prison cell), then told me that breakfast booking was only for 7 am or 10 am. I had a feeling that she was lying. Therefore avoid room 115 if you can. I called the front desk again. A different lady told me that I could choose to breakfast any time I want 8 or 9… I called my business correspondent to change room to 234. That was a “wow” room, facing the sea and very spacious. The suite was decorated beautifully. We enjoyed our 1927 Rolls Royce ride, followed by afternoon tea. I requested a table close to the window. Yes it was situated in a beautiful room. We had such a blast! Now I regret that I did not book massages in advance. Travel needs careful plans ahead. Even though room 234 was really beautiful, I did not sleep so well, hearing strong wind all night long. My advice is to (1) be careful with seaview room booking (2) try the 1927 Rolls Royce with uniformed chauffeur Phil (3) afternoon tea was great. (4) book spa treatment ahead

A wonderful 3 day break. Staff are really exceptional and helpful. Food quality is fantastic at both restaurants. Hotel itself has delightful decor. Breakfast is also top quality. Not all you can eat buffett rubbish but top quality food served to your table. Only small complaint was suite could do with a little touch up...some torn wallpaper on corners. Picky yes but at high prices I think only fair. Wonderfull stay would definately return.

We have stayed here many times. The COVID limitations on use of the pools detract from the spontaneity that we expect from a seaside break. The rooms are large, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast is generous and good quality.

Had a lovely weekend here, our favourite hotel. It was a bit different under covid rules, but it's a big place so easy to put one way system in place. Hand sanitizer in all public areas, staff wear masks as visitors do as well.
It was very busy the weekend we stayed, fully booked every night. Added to the fact it was the first weekend groups could meet indoors and dine it was also busy with non residents. The staff handled it all brilliantly though.
Service was a bit slow at breakfast each day, but being so busy not a surprise.
Swimming has to be booked in advance now, indoor pool a week in advance you can book, outdoor pool 24hours in advance.
Thanks to everyone at The Grand for providing a relaxing, pleasant weekend.

The hotel is ideally situated being approximately 200 metres from the sea. This is not the cheapest hotel around but you definitely get what you pay for. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, where nothing at all is too much trouble. Food, ambience, service and accommodation all excellent.
We are looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed last September and again this May both visits in a Covid restriction situation. Busier this May to last September and as only just back after lockdown getting back into the swing of things. We enjoyed our stay very much but did find we preferred breakfast as it seemed to be last year getting your drinks and a rack of toast soon after sitting down as it gave you something to be going on with. However the food was lovely and we found all the young staff very pleasant and friendly and Amy shone through in the Garden Restaurant I’m sure she will go far. Room was great if your windows rattle a piece of card does the trick an old building with a lot of character and the most beautiful chandeliers and lounges we felt at home and welcome by all. Lovely walks along the front and the sightseeing bus trip over the Seven Sisters a must very good value. Our evening meals were superb as always, hope Prawn Cocktail is back next time 😃. Thank you to all the behind the scenes people who kept our room and public areas spotless. Clean bedding and towels each day. Used both indoor and outdoor pool facilities and enjoyed them very much. I had a facial with Alice and wow I felt like a queen after and very relaxed.
A break away is what you make it in many ways but with the surroundings we were in it helped it be a very special and welcome break much needed and enjoyed.😃😘
Thankyou the 2 Carrs xxxxx

The staff are not trained to a 5 star hotel standard and the restaurant was chaos.Even when the Duty Manager offers some kind of recompense this too ends up not being organised leaving us in an awkward situation which is entirely unfair.

Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff acknowledge you, even in the corridors. You are made to feel so special, even when you are rubbing shoulders with celebrities who are also staying at the same time.

The Grand is a very comfortable Hotel. Good food in both of the restaurants. It is an excellent location with good long or short walks at the doorstep. We have stayed before and will definitely stay again.

This is really one of our favourite hotels. Just so comfortable and relaxing. The garden restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and full of performance, however after three dinners I have to determine That the cooking skills are not good. However; the Mirabell restaurant was a treat. So now, I will use that restaurant on my visits

Our stay was the ideal reintroduction to the outside world. The Grand is a fabulous old building - it was spotlessly clean, and staff were very welcoming. Our room was large, well-equipped and quiet. We had afternoon tea, very good, and breakfast the next morning - a bit chaotic, but staff had only been at work a couple of days, and it will soon settle down.

Stayed for two nights - took our parents - Dad has Huntingdons Disease and they were great with him. Special mention goes to Amy our waitress who was excellent with us all - especially Dad - she’s a credit to the hotel!!
