I have made all my comments and answered the specific questions posed and I have no further suggestions, tips or guidelines to add. The various heads of departments will know from my personal conversations with them (and my gratuities) that I have been satisfied.

Stayed here for few nights with my husband. The room was pleasant, old fashioned (which is to be expected) but clean and Molton Brown products are always pleasant to see. My one criticism of the room is the paper thin , light curtains. We were up at 5 both mornings with beaming sun coming in. Second night we were offered to move but repacking, unpacking etc was a hassle we were not prepared to do, as we had one night left.
Note to Management- Room 240 needs a blind as well as a curtain.
We ate in the Garden restaurant and it was very nice, with excellent service.
Breakfast was perfect, delicious and a good selection.
The spa and outside pool were our biggest let downs. The indoor waiting area etc is extremely worn & dated and is desperate for modernization, the heavy carpet in the area looks dirty and not in keeping with a clean, fresh spa area. The outdoor pool area REALLY needs some attention, it looks like its been forgotten in time. There were lots of signage discoloured, dirty with green algae or moss. The pool cover holder needs a good scrub. The BBQ area is rundown, covered in cobwebs etc. The tiles and patio surrounding needs a powerwash and just a general clean up. The sunbeds need cushioned covers or replacing. It all needs a good clean, sweep and freshen up. I was quite surprised a Manager wouldnt have picked up on this and arranged cleaners, ground staff to rectify, as this is a five star hotel. Such a shame because the pool is warm and could be a wonderful addition to a holiday but not in the current state. My facial by Bebe, was amazing and and the hotel staff were all professional & helpful. My husband had a full body massage which he said was wonderful. Would love to return, when spa is revamped.

We booked 3 rooms for 6 friends on a walking break. The staff were very friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The hotel was immaculate and luxurious but we found the bedroom windows rattled in the wind (so had to find something to stick in the gaps) and the blinds in the room were beautiful but let too much light in - otherwise the room was perfect. The spa and pool were very nice and open late which was really handy after a long day walking. Breakfast was good - I had a vegan cooked breakfast and they made sure that the dairy free milk & spread were already on our table the next morning (a very nice touch). Would love to stay again.

This was our second stay in the hotel and can only describe the stay as excellent backed up with the wonderful staff whereupon nothing was never too much of a problem when asked of them from there friendly greeting at the entrance door right through from reception, the bar staff, waitresses and up to the house maids.

And Whilst we didn't stay for lunch and dinner the best meal of the day Breakfast was excellent.

we have just spent the weekend at this fabulous hotel for our sons wedding which was held at the Grand, what a venue for a wedding and weekend stay, the hotel is very traditional with antique furniture and painting giving a great atmosphere. The staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast had so much to offer either the buffet or from the menu cooked to order. on the morning of the wedding we were unsure how to do a Windsor knot for our sons tie, we called room service and a member of staff ( Gabor) came up to our room and did the ties for us, nothing was to much trouble. Thank you to all the staff for making our son & Daughter in laws wedding go so smoothly and a day to remember , Mr & Mrs Davis

Lounge and bar area needs a re-furbishment, very tired, marks on furniture. Let’s the 5 star rating down. Leisure facilities let the hotel down too. Rooms to the back of the hotel are noisy from traffic. Breakfast was very enjoyable and the food in the Mirabelle restaurant has improved and staff were excellent.

I visited as a birthday treat from my husband. I love hotels, love a spa, enjoy a great meal, and I love being made to feel special... so The Grand delivers all of the above.
It is quintessentially 'Old English' ... the staff and the general service delivered, by every member of staff, is what really makes this hotel special. It is expensive, but as a treat, totally worth it.
Standouts: Great cocktails in the bar. Comfy beds, fantastic breakfast, table tennis and full size snooker table, heated outdoor pool, and of course... terrific staff.

Delightfully traditional hotel but with all mod cons. Beautifully kept and in a wonderful location.
Staff friendly and helpful in the extreme. Could not wish for better. Bed was comfy as was room.
V. windy night so a few rattles from the old windows but well worth a visit.

We came here for our wedding anniversary as we wanted to try the sister hotel of Ashdown Park Hotel. All I can say is Elite Hotels know how to run hotels. Everything about our visit was first class. They gave us an anniversary card upon arrival , gave us a free upgrade and for dessert the plate had “Happy Anniversary” on it written in chocolate. The attention to detail is faultless. All staff are smart, professional and extremely efficient. The rooms have everything - even down to a shoe polish cloth. Thank you for making our anniversary feel so special. The whole experience was amazing!

the location is somewhat at the end of town which makes it difficult to find somewhere to eat in the evenings, the excellent on site restaurants were too expensive for us and we purchased bar meals with varying results. the cod bites were fresh and good but other meals not so, the beds are old fashioned and narrow leading to poor quality sleep. The staff genuinely helpful especially the doormen.

Excellent hotel, great staff who were very professional and friendly, plus two excellent restaurants.
A real 5 star hotel on the South Coast!
Eastbourne is clearly on the way up and we felt is was a great town, with easy access to Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.

Fancying a visit to Eastbourne for a couple of days with a desire to be pampered, The Grand Hotel Eastbourne seemed ideal. We were not disappointed.

This is a large hotel harking back to the days when luxury was the privilege of the few but now more readily accessible to those of us who wish a little indulgence.

The accommodation was faultless as was the service offered by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Food is provided to a high standard with two restaurants for you to sample. We sampled both and whilst the Mirabelle was a more intimate affair both it and the Garden Restaurant were excellent.

The only possible negative is the location as the hotel is a little way from the town centre but ideal for those of us wishing to get away from the crowds.

The Best choice. Just go and enjoy the delightful attitude of every member of the staff, the quality of the food, and the comfort of the rooms. Book a sea view room second floor with balcony to get the best sea views.

The Grand is an imposting, comfortable, traditional hotel situated in a quiet part of Eastbourne within walking distance of the town centre and facing the sea. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The outdoor, heated pool is a delight in good weather. Breakfast is generous and of good quality. Food at the Mirabelle is good, but not outstanding and very expensive.

From arrival to departure, we could not fault our stay.

As a group of 5 ladies it was the perfect venue for a girlies weekend. The spa treatments we had were wonderful.

The hotel is simply beautiful and immaculate and the staff are warm, welcoming and professional.

Absolutely loved our time there and we've already planned a return!

Rooms need to be carefully checked before guests arrival. Part of our party had to move rooms and we had maintenance issues. There was quick attention to a jammed curtain but unfortunately the curtain could not be moved the following day again so could not enjoy the view.

A beautifully appointed hotel in a prime position on the sea front in Eastbourne, where you can rely on service and quality of the highest level. A great hotel whatever your age. and should be on everybody's to visit list when considering a holiday in the United Kingdom

The weather was as welcoming as the staff & facilities at The Grand, Eastbourne. After enjoying afternoon drinks and a snack on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool in the evening we dined in the Mirabelle Restaurant, the service and food was exquisite.

A well-positioned hotel with style and space serviced by well-trained, courteous and friendly staff. What more could one ask? Perhaps better weather but there is plenty to do either in the hotel or nearby.
