Fantastic 5* Hotel in a perfect beach front location. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave you will receive first class service that is reminiscent of a bygone era. The Garden Restaurant serves excellent food with excellent service in a pleasant atmosphere. Both the indoor & outddor swimming pools are heated. The indoor pool has 'Roman steps' for easy entry which suited my disabled wife. Pleasant deluxe room, facing inland, but was very hot with only 1 window that opened a little. A portable fan was supplied though. All-in-all a great stay & we will return!

Although a little dearer than we normally pay, worth every penny and we will definitely visit again.
Service was the most outstanding of all. From the second we got there till the second we left, not a
bad word could be said which includes our family of four of our children with their partners and five
of our grandchildren.

Treated as Royalty from start to finish. Nothing was too much. The staff were all amazing. First class customer service from the time you drive in until you drive out. I would definitely go back and recommend to everyone. Truly a Royal birthday treat.

Ok for small kids - not great informal dining facilities unless you want room service. Lovely heated outdoor pool. Needs to split areas between the older generation and young families to be more suitable

One of the world’s great hotels. Loved it - opulence, indulgence, superb facilities and the best hotel staff I have encountered. Mirabelle food fabulous as was PalmCourt tea and concert. Two criticisms (but minor). First breakfast bit tired and 3 star. Second please think of replacing naff repro oli paintings with decent pics (lovely original water colours in our bedroom). But a great hotel and look forward to returning

Our arrival time was not until 3:00pm but reception staff agreed we could use the Spa and Pools available. Outside heated pool was wonderful with sun loungers and lots of space but sadly it was just too cold to stay outdoors.. We went to the indoor pool which was lovely and warm and changing room facilities good. Sadly Jacuzzi wasn’t working but was still lovely and hot. Could not fault food in the Mirabelle restaurant which has been refurbished recently. A good mix of old and young people alike having a wonderful time. Room was lovely, can’t wait to return.

We took a spa and meals package and went there for a long weekend. The hotel is a very well maintained huge and old style building facing the beach. Service and spa treatments are all great. The only regret is the food in the hotel. The Garden restaurant is beautifully decorated and serving staffs there are perfect, but the three courses diner were disappointing for the price. The breakfast was very basic, lack of choice for a luxurious hotel like the Grand.

Our stay for 3 nights was, as on previous stays, excellent. Our room was lovely with sea view and plenty of space. Molton Brown toiletries, Nespresso machine and bottles of water in room much appreciated. Food and service in Garden restaurant excellent.

Three of us had a lovely three courses in the Garden Restaurant last week.Service was exceptional from arrival ( car being parked for me) to leaving. We were seated in a nice bay at the side of the room and immediately given a jug of iced water while we looked at the menu. Choice of I think it was 4/5 starters and mains. Starter a bit hit and miss ( duck roll not quite what expected, soup delicious, fishcakes on), the mains were generous fine dining portions of lamb confit and sea bream, vegetables done very nicely. Desserts were superb as was the sparkling Saumer. Elegant dining room and a nice treat for a birthday.

This is the first time we have stayed in a '5' star hotel. Everything was faultless. I am absolutely sure that we shall visit your grand hotel again. The whole experience was marvelous.
Congratulations to the staff.

Super hotel with amazing breakfast. Friendly restaurant staff not forgetting the doormen too. Location is very good within short walking distance from town centre. Plenty of eating places if not using the restaurant for evening meals

This is a beautiful hotel and while the staff are attentive and helpful, it still manages to have a lovely relaxed feel. We loved it and would highly recommend it. The breakfast was delicious and we were really impressed at the range of different food available.

This is a very upmarket hotel with everything you would ever need. If you have any questions or problems they are very quick to attend. I did find that the evening meal was a little short on choice but the food was top class.

Group Dinner on Thursday 17th May 2018, the meal was very good but the service was very protracted with some tables finishing their main course before my table was served. One morning the water from hot tap was not hot enough to have a proper wet shave.

It is in front of the sea, the room is spacious, cosy with lots of tea selection, your own coffee maker, water, very nice toiletries. The hotel is elegant and fancy; the staff is very professional and nice. I slept very well - which has not been the case for a while in hotel, so I appreciated it. The lounge is very nice.

Very friendly, relaxed feel and nothing too much trouble.
beds and pillows out of this world!
Food rather pricey and not always good value for money for day-time eating.
Hot water a little temperamental/sensitive but you soon get used to it!
Wi-fi very arbitrary

7th time back in as many years. Love the place. Bit of an issue with the shower this time but didnt spoil. Am always made to feel welcome and the politeness and courteousness of staff is second to none.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived (pre entering the actual hotel) the main reception response was professional and prompt. Our room was a good size, very clean and well appointed. The furniture was a little dated, the bathroom also, the toiletries were a premium brand. I don’t believe the room had air conditioning which was not a problem when we stayed but would be on a very hot day I suspect. The building is magnificent, tall ceilings, wide corridors, spacious meeting areas and plenty of places to sit and ponder, and all very clean, unfortunately whist no furnishings were damaged they did show signs of ageing, and if one is being kind they could be described as ‘antique’ or you could say they were not befitting of a 2018 5 star hotel. Hot drinks (cappuccino) at £5.00 plus was ridiculously expensive, bottled beer (in the absence of draught) was also expensive, but the setting in the bar area made it still a fair price. Breakfast was excellent, a superb range and the staff were attentive, professional and frightening efficient. I liked the hotel and wanted to give a more positive review unfortunately it just lacked the ‘wow’ factor for us.

This hotel is spectacular. Everything about our stay was perfect. The location could not be better. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was a very welcome surprise. The room was large, clean, comfortable and we enjoyed the time we spent in it. The breakfast was scrumptious and though primarily served via buffet the food was always hot and very tasty. The lounges were beautiful and welcoming. The staff amazing. Service was exceptional. Especially appreciated the doorman offering to park my car when the only spot was narrow and I had been driving in heavy traffic all day. He could tell I was nervous about backing into the spot and immediately offered to park for me.

I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to be able to stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location nice and quiet and love the grandeur of it. It is our yearly treat. We will definitely request a fridge for the room next time. The staff are very attentive and friendly.
