Great place to spend a day or evening!! Go in the day for lots of fun with the science experiments dotted around covering light, sound, space and more, or go to one of the evening events of stargazing and look through the 100+ year old telescopes which are still some of the largest in the UK. You won't be disappointed.

Loved this place, very nicely set out with experiments to try, I took a 4 year old with me who really enjoyed looking at all the interesting things, especially the vacuum chair. They have a reasonably priced cafe on site as well as toilets.
There is a small gift shop at the entrance again good prices.
Discovery park outside is fun for children.
Had a lovely tour of the telescopes and there was also some workshops to attend to learn about different subjects.
They offer night time views of space with the telescopes but you will need to look in the website for dates.
We spent 2 hrs there with a baby and a 4 year old and we didn't stop at everything.so in theory you can get a really good day out of it.

Brilliant educational experience, fun for adults and kids. There is lots to do and many hands on science based activities to do. I never realised they do star gazing evenings and will definitely return to participate

Interesting enough couple of hours for two adults, good cafe, surprised that there was no WiFi. Could also benefit from some/better signage between the remote carpark and the site.

The Science Centre is a brilliant place to visit. Lots of activities for both the young, and not so young to enjoy. The astronomy evenings are excellent, with local knowledgeable amateurs around with telescopes to look through. Seeing saturn and its rings for the first time was memorable! Recommended.

Visiting family, and this was suggested as an outing nearby. Wasn't expecting a great deal, given that it's a small place, but was very pleasantly surprised. All the children (aged between 3 and 14) loved it. Lots to do inside and out plus great observatory tour. Small cafe for drinks and snacks and a small gift shop. We managed to fill best part of the day, and could happily have stayed longer. Would definitely go back.

Went for a curry and comets evening. Food was good, weather wasn't so we weren't treated to any mind blowing star gazing. The two guys who showed the group's around were very informative and enthusiastic about the solar system and beyond. 5☆ if the sky's were clear and not hammering it down the rain. Got to love England.
