I am not in the full flush of youth and in order to celebrate a - what some might call significant - birthday, I somewhat selfishly decided to purchase a quality timepiece. I certainly have fewer years left than those lived and felt justified. Furthermore, one of my children will hopefully inherit it when I depart this mortal coil, so money and sentiment not wasted.

With long standing links to beautiful East Sussex, I felt it appropriate in these troubled times to support a long standing local family business. In my youth my cycling exploits along the Sussex coast often brought me past this magnificent jewellers (Cornfield Road original premises) and I would gaze through the window at the horological delights and dream "One day, I shall wear an engineering marvel just like that......"

Anyway, I digress. My initial email enquiry was expeditiously dealt with by the consummately professional and extremely engaging Mr. Simon Power. We had a very candid and meaningful conversation where not only were all aspects of the proposed purchase clarified- covering availability, time lines, methods of payment etc., - but Mr. Power took the time and trouble to find out more about me as a person and prospective customer.

The attention to detail and customer focus provided by Mr. Power confirmed without doubt I had made the correct decision. As anticipated it was not long before Mr. Power telephoned me to say my timepiece had arrived - and more pleasingly way ahead of the expected date. Having made an appointment for collection, I had to rearrange twice. Once through my own oversight and once to beat the second C19 lockdown. Special mention must be made of the delightful Hazel who went above and beyond to accommodate me.

I arrived at W. Bruford quite excited to collect my timepiece. It took me back all those years to when I would look longingly through the shop windows at Cornfield Road.

Mr. Power, as fully expected, spent considerable time discussing my new purchase, providing key information on the timepiece itself and the brand in general, as well as facilitating the bracelet adjustment. A man who knows his stuff and who is a brilliant brand ambassador. He could not have been more accommodating and customer focussed. A level of service and professionalism that not only commands respect, but which will ensure that my future horological purchases will be exclusively with the unmatchable W. Bruford. British retail at it's finest, nobly facilitated by Simon, Hazel and the other fine staff. Bravo one and all!!

Fantastic service from start to finish. Ordered a Breitling watch at 4pm and it was in my hands the following morning. They also adjusted the strap in that time and sent it with a free watch winder. All employees were very helpful and couldn't have done more. Will definitely use them again in the future.

What an amazing service this jewellers offers. I saw what I wanted on the internet and the ordering was very quick and simple. I had an email the same day to confirm my order and I received it the next working day. I was told that the charm would not come in a Links of London box but I was not worried about this. When the charm did arrive it was in a black velvet pouch and inside a lovely bag tied with a bow.

I was a very happy and satisfied customer and will not hesitate to order from them again.

Great shop with a really good range of products and have always received great customer service from here. A mention in particular goes to Maxine. She was friendly, polite and non pushy. This was apparent in the way Maxine wanted to help us to find the right watch to purchase for my mum's birthday. Also she was fantastic with my 3 year old daughter who was with me that day. A real credit to your business! My mother has received her gift and loves her new watch.
