Not only am a part of an active local community of SMEs but I have been given fantastic opportunities to expand my business horizons and possibilities, regionally and across the county. In addition I am a regular user of the wide range of benefits available to members.

FSB's online networking and legal support has been a lifeline during the pandemic of 2020. It has decreased isolation for struggling business owners and created opportunities for us to network, collaborate and win new business. FSB Care has been of particular help to me when I needed them. I thoroughly recommend this amazing organisation that is on the side of small businesses!

As a member of FSB I have been extremely impressed with their support during the Pandemic. One such issue was in relation to a delay in receiving a grant from an organisation.
Needless to say, I spoke with my local representative and within a day the FSB was able to construct a response to the organisation that ultimately ended with me receiving my grant shortly after.

I have been really impressed with the service and support received from the FSB recently during this difficult Covid-19 period. Their staff have been so very helpful. They have given great advice, fantastic support and gone well beyond what was required to ensure that I had all of the information I needed and more importantly that I understood it all and the processes that I needed to go through. I didn’t realise that the FSB is funded entirely from membership fees, rather than public money, and despite being with them for a long time I’ve never really needed to rely on them until now - so it's heartening and very reassuring to know that the FSB are truly there when you need them. Well worth the membership fees

FSB as always provided an excellent service recently, going above and beyond in helping me deal with a local council issue, I've used FSB whenever we've needed for over 20 years now and can't recommend them highly enough. They are the big guys in the little guys corner and every independent business would in some way benefit from joining, they have deals with insurers, card providers and provide legal advice as well templates to help manage your business and stay up to date with legislation. For me it's a no brainer.

I took the decision early in 2020 to leave my job and set up as a freelance trainer for first aid, and health and safety. Then COVID-19 struck. I joined the FSB and the help and support I have been given has been excellent. I have used their standard documents and legal helpline. Best of all I joined the FSB Essex London Borders and FSB Essex Virtual Networking Events. I have been given the opportunity to talk at both and made lots of new contacts. From the FSB Essex group chaired by the excellent David Bell, I picked up a contact that has covered my membership costs already. Thank you FSB for all your help and support.

When Jeremy Reeve made contact with me, I was coincidentally searching for a charity or business support organisation which would give me the opportunity of helping in a voluntary capacity. I joined the Federation of Small Businesses in early March of this year with the simple goal of giving back to the business community by sharing my knowledge, my time and perhaps most importantly my enthusiasm.

We are a small electrical contracting business in the Highlands. We have been a member of the FSB for approx 10 years now. Used on and off during that period for all sorts of advice and help. BUT. Since the beginning of the Covid 19 period, through lockdown and since we returned to work some 2-3 weeks ago, FSB have been MAGNIFICENT in all respects. Their help, assistance and advice has been business SAVING for us. If you are not a member company sign up NOW. Until the Covid outbreak I haven’t had to use the FSB but was always happy to be a member ‘just in case’.
On the outbreak, like all members, I fell upon them for help and have been incredibly impressed with their work and attention to my situation.

During the lock down we are all trying to do as best we can. I was unable to get a grant as i worked from Home as we were not registed for business rates. I had various discusions with Ray Abraham at the FSB and with his help we manged to get a grant albeit small of £ 2500.00 to a small company every little bit helps to stay afloat. Thank you. Shaun

We have been members of FSB for around 20-years. Since the problems that we are all combating surfaced can I praise the efforts of the FSB team in Cornwall for the regular weekly `ZOOMS'. In addition their Webinars have gathered a range of top-ranking professionals from a varied background all of whom have offered wonderful experiences and advice. We have also gained new clients since these events commenced and find the new-approach by FSB rewarding and good value for the membership fee.

The resources of the FSB are so deep and thorough, and the staff (both paid and voluntary) so incredibly supportive. From legal resources to webinars on useful and timely topics to workshops to referrals that have opened doors I struggled to open otherwise... the FSB has helped me move my business forward. Never more so than during the Covid lockdown. If you run a small business, you need to be an FSB member.

We've been members for years because we like the campaigning element of FSB but we've never really needed them until COVID and I've been very pleased with the experience of having some help.
We were struggling to get our local authority to sort out a grant that we were definitely entitled to.
FSB intervened on our behalf and the issue was quickly resolved. It's great to feel like someone has your back at a time like this.

I have been a member for many years and am the Area Lead for Cornwall (a member elected voluntary role) yet I sometimes forget how good the FSB is. One Friday evening I had a business problem and spent a very restless night worrying about it, which was stupid because the FSB has a free 24-hour legal helpline for members. I came to my senses first thing Saturday morning and phoned the helpline. 20 minutes later an expert in the area I had a problem with call back and everything was sorted. Brilliant.

Outstanding start. I have been an FSB member for one month. I joined after contact through Linkedin and can't believe I didn't join 10 years ago! The resources and advice through the Portal and webinars have been invaluable, especially navigating Covid legislation and the Wiltshire Team are always accessible and helpful. In this first month, we've also been awarded a £3K Advertising Grant through the FSB, working with Mail Metro Media. I haven't even scratched the surface of the way membership resources are going to help us change the way we do business for the better in future. They're already superb. I strongly recommend you research membership if you haven't already done so!
