I have been a Fsb member for a few years now and I have never had to call on there services until this year ! I was having some problems with the local council regarding Covid 19 grants and receiving them. So I thought I would drop the Fsb local branch an email to see if they had any advice, they put me in contact with a lovely lady called Karen Woolley who gave me some outstanding advice and even offered to email the council on my behalf to see if they could assist in getting the matter sorted. We did get an successful outcome and I can’t thank them enough for taking the time to help me.

For the first in nearly 10 years I have used FSB and I can honestly say that they have been a great help. I was supported all the way by Mr Foster and his team who fought on my behalf . I would highly recommand all small businesses to join the FSB.

The FSB has superior services for the investment level than anything else I’ve ever joined. The piece of mind you have knowing that if you have a tax or legal issue you can get great support quickly, from experts is worth the membership on its own. When my daughter fell ill and I couldn’t work their Redarc service helped me keep going. You never know what’s around the corner, but having FSB on my side means I’m never afraid to look.

I have been a member of the FSB ever since I opened my business 15 years ago. The support I have been given has been superb, coupled with free banking from the Coop, a super insurance service, plus the free legal and HR advice. You also get a real sense of being part of a larger concern and the lobbying of Government by the FSB makes you realise that you are not just a 'little' voice in a huge sea. This is a must for anyone starting a business.

I joined the FSB in December 2020, after setting up my own business a couple of months earlier. Initially, I attended virtual networking sessions but then decided to join the FSB for the support and insurance benefits of membership. I find the virtual networking invaluable for meeting new, like-minded businesspeople and for helping to build a client base

As a small business owner getting any action /help with banking issues can be tiresome and take an inordinate amount of precious time. So having spent days dealing with the bank without success I mentioned it to my local DM. Help arrived in minutes with contact details for a banking knight in shining armour. Within the hour the issue was all sorted. FSB membership is so worthwhile, the local support is super helpful and nationally their resources and campaigns are something every small business owner should be part of. You never know when you need to use your membership and it’s so worth joining the fold.

I run a small driving school with a few ADI’s. Nothing like the ‘big boys’ but we provide a great service to our students. The lockdowns have hit us hard. The DVSA has made it clear we are not allowed to deliver driving lessons and in my case I was denied any financial support at all. I didn’t even qualify for the 80% grant of my net income. I used up all my savings just to keep my head above water and a few weeks ago I turned to the FSB for advice and support. I’ll be honest. With so many previous nock backs I never expected too much. However, I spoke with Claire Reading the business development manager for South & East Yorkshire & The Humber. Claire put me in touch with Chris Page at East Riding Council and he could not have been more understanding and helpful.
Today my business has received a grant from East Riding Council. I am shocked but elated that at last we have received the financial support given to so many others by the government but denied us. Thank you FSB and thank you East Riding Council.

Exceptional!!! Since joining FSB last August I've gained lots of useful tips about running my business. Things like coaching and attending webinars etc has proved helpful in developing my company. I would strongly recommend the FSB to all small businesses.

I have been FSB member for almost 10 years. In the past, I've used them sporadically and greatly appreciated discounts and legal help when I had some questions. Last year, they have provided enormous help with COVID guidelines, funding and representing small businesses to the local and national government. Having their back, I feel like part of a large corporation with access to lobbyists, lawyers and health and safety advice that I would not normally have as a small business.

FSB's online webinars, where experiences are shared on a local basis, are a great source of support, only if to find out that you are not on your own with regards to what current circumstances throughs at us small businesses, and to gain knowledge thanks to someone who has deciphered the intricacies of regulations for you. It's good to feel that there are people who will genuinely try to help.

FSB's online networking and legal support has been a lifeline during the pandemic of 2020. It has decreased isolation for struggling business owners and created opportunities for us to network, collaborate and win new business. FSB Care has been of particular help to me when I needed them. I thoroughly recommend this amazing organisation that is on the side of small businesses!

As a member of FSB I have been extremely impressed with their support during the Pandemic. One such issue was in relation to a delay in receiving a grant from an organisation.
Needless to say, I spoke with my local representative and within a day the FSB was able to construct a response to the organisation that ultimately ended with me receiving my grant shortly after.

I have been really impressed with the service and support received from the FSB recently during this difficult Covid-19 period. Their staff have been so very helpful. They have given great advice, fantastic support and gone well beyond what was required to ensure that I had all of the information I needed and more importantly that I understood it all and the processes that I needed to go through. I didn’t realise that the FSB is funded entirely from membership fees, rather than public money, and despite being with them for a long time I’ve never really needed to rely on them until now - so it's heartening and very reassuring to know that the FSB are truly there when you need them. Well worth the membership fees

FSB as always provided an excellent service recently, going above and beyond in helping me deal with a local council issue, I've used FSB whenever we've needed for over 20 years now and can't recommend them highly enough. They are the big guys in the little guys corner and every independent business would in some way benefit from joining, they have deals with insurers, card providers and provide legal advice as well templates to help manage your business and stay up to date with legislation. For me it's a no brainer.
