A super restaurant during the summer with stunning views over the islands and Beaucette Marina, its long been a favourite of the al fresco crowd for lunch or dinner in the sun. This is its unique selling point.
We visited the restaurant for an early bird Tennerfest Menu on Thursday evening 14th October as a family of three. We were there between 1800 to 1930 and the restaurant approximately 30% full withe early diners and some customers drinking at the bar.
The wine (we tried the house Pinot Noir by the glass) was very good for a house red. Smooth and full bodied with little tannin after taste residue. Possibly one of the best we have had during this year's Tennerfest season, to date.
Food presentation was excellent, so was the fare, temperature, construction and the taste. Cooked well and delivered in a timely fashion.
The Tennerfest Menu has two courses at £17.50 and three at £20. Quite the norm.
If you want additional vegetables or potatoes there is an additional list on the Tennerfest Menu which costs over £4 per serving. We chose the Tempura Courgette Chips which came at £4.50, very good and enough for two people.
In addition to this we had a small bottle of Stella Artois @ £4.60 and a bottle of sparkling water £4+, a breadbasket was £4
A warm, attentive and communicative atmosphere during service would enhance the overall customer experience, with specific attention to detail during the ordering process. Inside is very open and fresh however that distracts the benefit of the location when it is under occupied.
In summary, the food and wine were good, the charges were very expensive for this type of dining experience. Our final bill for a short early bird came to £90.70. We enjoyed the experience but it is unlikely to make our favourites list.

Came here for afternoon tea, service was lovely and staff were amazing but i have to be honest and say that it wasn't at good as the OGH afternoon tea in terms of food. The scone and cream were ok but i personally wasn't blown away im comparison. It's not too say the cakes weren't nice but just not amazing in my opinion for £22.50.

Location is beautiful and I've had great tennerfest food there last year(2020) but not been this year.

This restaurant is a delight, tucked away in a quiet area of the island. The views are amazing. The menu has plenty of choices and the food is absolutely outstanding. Locally caught seafood is always on the menu and the steaks from a local supplier are fantastic. Had lobster and it was cooked to perfection also on another visit crab and lobster linguine which was delicious. The staff are very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

We are just on our way home to England from a 2 week stay in Guernsey where we dined at this fabulous restaurant on many occasions.
The menu offers plenty of varied choices and the food is absolutely delicious. The chefs cook and serve up amazing meals which are well cooked and nicely presented.
The restaurant has a lovely ambience and comfortable seating with plenty of space on each table. The staff are very friendly, attentive and happy to help with any requests we made.
We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone considering a visit. You certainly won't be disappointed. When we visit Guernsey again, we will definitely be back to dine here.
Thank you to Monica, Mike, Suzie and your whole team.

We eat here fairly often and it is one of our favourite restaurants in Guernsey. Ambiance is pleasant, service is good if rather slow at times. They can definitely cook, with many nice 'chefy' touches which raise the standard above many Guernsey restaurants.
Only two things really deter us from eating here more often. One is the price, a three course meal for two including a moderate bottle of wine will not give you much change from £100. Secondly, they could do with a few more changes to the menu, either a 'specials' or seasonal menu would allow me to not be so boring and eat more or less the same thing every visit. I could order it now - smoked haddock chowder followed by the lamb cutlets - and very good it would be, but I enjoy a bit more variety so I need to go elsewhere!

We visited for lunch and dinner all of which was amazing. I notified them that my wife was Gluten Free and they adapted and recommended dishes without a fuss. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the service was relaxed. The food was just stunning and we had a great meal whilst watching the Red moon rise over the marina.

Staff were friendly and the restaurant itself was nice. Only one vegetarian option and it did not taste great. The hollumi was undercooked and it was battered in what tasted like chip shop batter. Very poor considering the price.

We rocked up here for an unplanned late lunch on a Thursday. After checking the chef was still ok for walk ins we were able to sit outside.
This place is blessed with a stunning location especially when the sun is shining! The food was great too - we only had light bites: crab sandwich (me) and moules (her!) but they were really good - proper bread and loads of crab. Not the cheapest and neither should it be!
Wonderful.

We enjoyed eating here a couple of years back - pre COVID and having managed to get past Guernsey's stringent immigration formalities we were very much looking forward to trying this very convenient restaurant once again.
We were not disappointed. Firstly we were clearly vey lucky to get a table with only a couple of day's notice. The place was absolutely full with a combination of family celebrations, groups of local friends and couple who had also arrived by boat.
Although called the Saltwater and being located by the sea, this restaurant offers a good choice of both meat and seafood. We opted for fish - scallops and crab cakes to start followed by seabass which was a catch of the day. The portions were generous, and the quality excellent. Although the menu lists several side dishes we were told that they were really not necessary which was sound advice.
Service was friendly and efficient and good to see that there appeared to be a lot of staff despite the much publicised challenges of recruitment in the sector.
We love visiting Beaucette. The marina is quiet and full of interesting craft. The surrounding area and beaches are the finest on the Island and this restaurant just tops it all off. Cant' wait for our next visit!

Visited Saltwater while in Guernsey on holiday with my partner.
Staff were chatty and friendly. Did take a while for our food order to be taken (30 minutes). Only one person taking the orders but plenty of other staff about!!! That said the food was fresh and perfectly cooked.
Views over the marina were stunning. Great location.

Really great Sunday lunch. I had the Salt & Pepper squid was lovely, very lightly cooked, tender. Followed by rare roast beef and a Banoffie pie to share. My partner had the scampi to start and roast lamb which was also very good.
We loved it, highly recommended.
Make sure you book.

We've eaten at Saltwater several times over the last few months, given we live near by. The food is always excellent, and the vibe in the restaurant is relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. If you're heading there for lunch or an evening meal, make sure you have a drink outside on the terrace, overlooking the marina. Each time we have been the food cannot be faulted, and the staff are always warm and friendly. The only slight negative from my perspective, is sometimes the drinks service can be a little slow, and you need to seek out staff to order a drink. I do appreciate staffing levels in hospitality are challenging at the moment, but with that small tweak, it's a 5 star restaurant every day. Highly recommend going to Saltwater, whether living or visiting Guernsey.

We popped in for a drink one morning when cycling around the island and it was such a lovely location that we booked lunch the following week and were not disappointed. It was a lovely sunny, calm day and we were spoilt for choice with the excellent menu. Everything was delicious with the battered fish and chips shining through and the drinks served wonderfully cold. The view of the islands, sea and boats is beautiful, there is no traffic so it is very peaceful and there is a great atmosphere and great service.

If you are looking for seafood platters, look no more!
This is the place to be.It’s well worth the 15 minute car journey from St Peter’s port.
You get to a small marina in an unspoilt coastal area. The business boasts great terrace and the restaurant is very comfortable.Staff are very friendly and the service is great.
More importantly, the seafood platter (needs ordering with 24 hours notice) is well worth waiting for. Great quality fresh locally caught crab, lobster, prawns. The latter comes with generous helping of boiled potatoes, salad and sauces. You simply won’t be disappointed. What are you waiting for! Stop reading and book!
