A very relaxing stay at this hotel. Excellent food in the restaurant served by a very attentive staff. The whole experience cannot be recommended too highly. The only slight downside is a lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast.
A little bit tired in some parts- our bedroom carpet was stained- but generally good and very good value for money.
Spa- newly refurbished- very good.
Gardens were nice.
Can recommend and would go again.

From start to finish, this hotel was lovely. The girls on reception were lovely and very accommodating. The staff in the terrace bar were so friendly and welcoming and went over and above to ensure a pleasant experience. Our room was a decent size and even had space for a cot with a lovely view looking over the green. The room was very clean and didn't want for anything and came with a decent sized bathroom, tea/coffee, desk, TV, mini fridge etc. The swimming pool and other facilities were fantastic and catered for both families (allotted times) as well as everyone else. As a first trip away within 11-month old I had concerns about affecting the experience of others but I must admit that I never once felt any issue with bringing my little girl anywhere in the hotel. I cannot commend them enough, in particular those working in the terrace bar. It was a wonderful experience and a wonderful stay. We will be back

We stayed for 8 days and it has to be said that the facilities are first class and the chef outstanding.

However, with all the best intentions of the management (and Daniel was exceptional) the service was often utterly miserable as were most of the younger staff (with one or two notable exceptions..well done Tim)

From the off, every meal, whether it was in the bar or the restaurant, was delivered at snails pace and on one occasion, having spent nearly two hours getting to the point of the cheese board which was being presented to us as an apology for the slow service the night before, when it had not arrived in 25 minutes, we gave up and left for our room.

The next evening the complimentary cheese board did arrive in good time......but they charged us for it. (Great cheese board though!)

Breakfast on the first day and it took nearly 40 minutes and two reminders for kippers only to be told the chef was rather busy preparing for a wedding! (Did I want to know that?)

Having said that, every one of the meals we had was exceptional and that included room service, the terrace and the pavilion.

I have to say also that the better wines (particularly the 2000 Clarets) were excellent value and made the long waits for the food bearable.

With a leisure centre to die for, a 9 hole golf course and tennis courts all there, one is not going to be short of games and being pampered.

I'd certainly stay here again and I have no doubt the service will improve but when I am eating in the terrace bar with 6 other groups all having to listen to some very loud South African guests and their child, it is no wonder people started to wander out when four waiters and bar staff found more entertainment in chatting amongst themselves than serving us our meals and drinks.

When I say the food was exceptional I really do mean it. The menu seems simple but trust me that even a lamb steak was outrageously good with marvellous attention to the sides which are normally an afterthought these days but each one we tried was cooked to perfection and with imagination. I don't eat pork but the rack of ribs was so good that I went for that option on two occasions.

The older staff were just better and knew their job well and with a myriad of problems creeping in as our stay went on, we learned to approach the grey hairs to get things sorted.

The great weakness (and probably the only one) in the culinary arena was that the bread was awful both at dinner and breakfast and something needs to be done about this. Square flat pack toast and rubbish rolls with a fine meal are a travesty and the almost arrogant attitude of the breakfast waiters when we asked them to slice a granary loaf to make wedgy brown toast became quite a laughable experience over the week.

And I think that summed up the stay really. It is a fantastic place that will need much updating in the rooms over the next couple of years but the experience was spoiled by too many staff who did not want to be serving us (and it showed) and frankly did not have a clue how to go about it in the first place.

Too many camps and not enough communication and competence.

I look forward to an improvement for our next stay and let us be clear that overall, this place gets my vote over all other hotels I have experienced on Guernsey.

It would just be better to see a bit more attention to our simple needs (mainly to be fed before we die of starvation) and to feel that all the staff are Working as a team with some sense that they are enjoying the job.

I have to go for excellent because the truth is that everything apart from the service was damned good and with a week or more to while away the time you can live with this but if I had been staying one or two nights I think I would have been crawling up the walls and my overall mark would not be so generous.

Have just returned from Guernsey after a 6 night break. Booked the St Pierre Park on a b&b basis.

Lots of choice at breakfast to suit all tastes. Staff polite, friendly, and welcoming.

Lovely room with a balcony and table with two chairs so we could both sit outside. Room overlooked the gardens. We were on the ground floor, otherwise known as reception level. There were bedrooms on the level below, on the garden side of the hotel due to the hillside location. Room was quiet even though there were functions taking place during our stay.

Extensive bar menu with food served from breakfast right through to 11.00 p.m.

This hotel is about 1 mile outside of St Peter Port but is on a good bus route on the main east/west route across the island.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, and would certainly book again if I return to Guernsey in the future.

I have just git married and my wife and I had the great pleasure to have our reception at this lovely hotel in St. Peter Port.

The hotel has just had a full make over and looks wonderfully smart and very clean and tidy.

The food at our reception was a 3 course buffet which offered great choice and was wonderfully prepared and presented.

The staff as you would expect from a hotel of this quality were first rate and very professional, polite and helpful.

We stayed in a suite which was absolutely gorgeous with its own mini kitchen, lounge area, lovely big bed and a patio with its own jacuzzi very nice indeed.

And would be a great room for any occasion or romantic get together.

In the morning we had a champagne breakfast again smartly and very professionally down.

All in all a wonderful hotel no faults at all as far as I could see and a pleasure to stay.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Of course it's not a budget hotel or anything near it but you pay for what you get and what we got was wonderful and memorable and that's good enough for me and my wife.

Would happily stay at this wonderful hotel anytime.

Guernsey is very difficult for a disabled visitor. I have family in Guernsey so have to visit. St Pierre Park is the best hotel I have visited over the years. Gardens & lake are not accessible by mobility scooter hired from St. John's @ £58 pw.as dropped kerbs are not a priority anywhere in Guernsey or their hotels? But things have got better over the years. St Pierre is now owned by hand picked hotels & is undergoing upgrades but @ no disadvantage to guests!indeed if they have bookings for events that might disturb you the make you aware that they will move you so that will not be disturbed overnight if you wish! The staff are all exceptionally helpful in reception Terrace bar & Victor Hugo!everywhere really!
Breakfast is always high standard plentiful & well attended by waiters ! This hotel for me is great ! I can recommend The Sunday Carvery in Victor Hugo! Thankyou St Pierre for another lovely 5day break !

Very warm and welcoming, the wet facilities were very good and were modern. Our room was very clean and was nicely decorated. Breakfast was extremely nice. When we ordered breakfast to our room it was 25 minutes late and one piece food was missing. But they did apologise which we thought was very kind. They informed us on tourist attractions around the island. Overall it was a good stay.

First time to this hotel and weren't disappointed set in lovely grounds the hotel was clean and welcoming with helpful and friendly staff. Our room was clean and comfortable with lovely views over the grounds. It was lovely to enjoy having breakfast looking over the lake. The breakfast was a buffet style system which was really nice and offered lots of choices so you could as little or as much as you wanted without waste. We did eat from the evening menu twice which was also very nice but we felt that the menu could have possibly offered a little more choice.I also enjoyed using the lovely swimming pool most enjoyable after a long day.

Our rooms were large with good toiletries comfy bed plenty of pillows and large towels. Most of all the staff were wonderful especially the Romanian guy in charge in the restaurant. So helpful and polite but all the staff were the same, nothing too much trouble and they always seemed to working from early to late and smiling! The Management should commend them all. We had a great time and the catering was also excellent.

This hotel is in a good position, some 1 miles from the port. Buses are £1 each way from outside the hotel. There is a Waitrose across the road, very handy.
The hotel has a lovely view from the breakfast room, across the lake with fountain, ducks and a resident heron watching the fish.
Our room was lovely, well equipped, comfortable beds, very clean. Breakfast was one of the best we have had, so many choices and food was top quality.
We did not have time to use the swimming pool etc.
The only reason I have not given it top marks is because of the noisy slamming bedroom doors.

Decided to go to guernsey for a short break with a fairly late booking. Liked the look of this hotel and decided that I would like to try out the new spa.
I stayed in a junior suite which had a good sized balcony with chairs and sunlounger available and a personal hot tub. The hot tub was very nice and convenient to use.
Otherwise room was great, with nice size and facilities. Only downside was the bed had a split bed put back together and you could feel the join.
Spa was excellent, I only used the pool, sauna, jacuzi and steam room, whole are is brand new and looked and felt it, great fit and finish. Jacuzzi is outdoors on a nice decked area overlooking the gardens.
I ate in hotel once for evening meal and food was of good quality and we'll cooked. Breakfasts where very good and set you up for the day.
Staff friendly all round but bar staff could be a bit more attentive, I noticed a couple of times slight problems with service.
Would I come back, yes I would.

Hotel is gorgeous in a great location. The newly renovated health club and spa is absolutely superb.

The room was great. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble.

Ate a couple of times in the Terrace Café Bar and the food was very good as were the breakfasts

Such a relaxing and enjoyable break that if we go to Guernsey again, this will definitely be our first choice.

The St Pierre Park Hotel is an easy 10 minute or so drive from the airport and a 5 minute drive (by car or using the very efficient and cheap bus service) or a pleasant 20 minute walk to/from St Peter Port (a bit hilly however).

We arrived at 10:00am expecting just to leave our baggage and return later to check in. However we were informed that our room was ready and we could take occupancy of it immediately.

The Hotel itself was nicely presented with very friendly and helpful staff throughout.

Breakfast was excellent with a large choice of cold and well cooked hot items, with choices such as kippers, haddock, omelettes etc etc all cooked to order.

Our room was clean and tidy, relatively large and well equipped. The bed was very comfy. Fresh clean towels were provided every day.

The grounds were immaculate. A children's play area, tennis courts were available.

The Spa, pool and associated facilities were tremendous.

My only gripe was that we upgraded to an Executive room, having originally booked a Classic room at an additional cost of £20.00 per night - we did this as the Hotel website gave the impression that the balcony provided with an executive room was large - ours wasn't! my wife and I could genuinely NOT sit together on the balcony in any degree of comfort, in fact only one chair and a table was provided (I presume this was more of a smokers balcony, no offence to smokers). The purpose of seeking a larger balcony was so that in the afternoon or evening my wife and I could sit back and relax on that balcony, maybe sipping a glass of wine. Sadly this was not possible. We did try one night but ended up with my wife sitting on the balcony and me sitting in the room!. I guess this did not spoil to any great degree our holiday but I would think that you have by now formed the opinion,as I have devoted a large amount of text to the subject, that it was irritating and very disappointing.

I did take this issue up with the hotel in the early part of our stay but was given the impression by the gentleman on reception that it was 'luck of the draw' and down to which room you were allocated.

My advice - check the size of your balcony when booking a room. In this case size does matter!.

Otherwise a very pleasant hotel.

Had a brilliant 5 night stay on a handpicked 5 for 4 night deal in the Alderney suite. Room was huge with outdoor seating area & hot tub. Bed very comfortable. Nespresso machine & pods included. Television is standard would be better if a smart TV.
Used the gym & pool both very good. Breakfast a buffet but great choice with very attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The room staff were the same really friendly. I thoroughly recommend this hire for family or couples.

This hotel is everything a 3-star should be - good size rooms, good location and good breakfast options!

The furniture in the room seemed a bit dated but that's just my opinion. I was quite surprised to see a Nespresso machine in my room, but it wasn't working so that's a shame. The staff however were courteous to help out and did try and fix it. When they couldn't, they ensured the regular supply of tea and coffee was maintained.

Food isn't pricey, so that was an additional plus.

All in all, good hotel and very close to the bus station from where you can get a bus straight to St Peter's port - what a beautiful location! But more on that in another review.

I stay at this hotel quite a lot and find the staff fantastic, they always want to help and do a great job
The new pool and gym are really good
There is a lovely view from the terrace of the golf course, lake and children's park
The hotel are undergoing constant upgrades this year new carpets , lounge furniture , gym,spa etc
The bathrooms are spotless with powerful showers and modern the decor of bedrooms is getting a little dated but each room has its own fridge
The breakfast is very good with a wide variety of tastes catered for

We very much enjoyed our time here for my Nan's birthday! The hotel and staff were wonderful, breakfast was simply divine and the spa and pool area were so modern and beautiful! Not to mention the beautiful views over the lake and golf course! Perfect for the bus service to town as well. We will be returning again in the near future.

We hadn't had a holiday this year due to exams and results etc, so treated ourselves to executive rooms with hot tub - the rooms were spacious and comfortable, very clean and very well equipped. Only minor issues have already been documented, inexperienced staff at breakfast, cannot open patio doors on hot nights, and some delay in receiving bar meals. However this
was overall a lovely hotel and a truly relaxing holiday. We had a car, but I have been to Guernsey before without one, which was lovely too.

we stayed for a week on a B&B basis and had a lovely time. Breakfasts were well catered for with a very good choice. There were gluten free bread and porridge available too. The bar meals were very nice and reasonably priced and the main restaurant still had nice food but portions not as big and more expensive.
The refurbishment of the spa is amazing and very well finished. We used the pool, gym and had a spa treatment - all good.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the St Pierre Park. Can easily take a bus from the airport to St Peter Port and then number 41 or 42 which takes you just outside the hotel. We had transfers booked however which does make life easier. Hotel was very clean with most obliging staff who can't do enough for you. In particular thanks to Ilenia who was a great waitress and Tim on the evening reception shift who was a delight, very obliging and helpful. The rooms are clean and well appointed with the expected facilities and in our case a balcony over looking the gardens. Our only point of concern was the loud music in our rooms from two events taking place. However the manager did warn us and the music stopped by 11pm. Possibly too late for some even so. The pool was great and we could swim proper lengths. The sauna, sream room and outdoor jacuzzi were great additions. Changing rooms were spacious and clean.Spa treatments are available but we didnt indulge. Breakfast was extensive with a huge choice. The first night we were lucky to dine in the Victor Hugo restaurant where our choice was absolutely delicious. We were ' entertained' however by a quarrelsome group who were 'celebrating' a member of staff's leaving do!! Nevertheless compliments to the chef for the superb food. There are several restaurants and cafes in the complex, lovely gardens, a stream, a family of ducks, a childrens play area and a golf course. We were completly happy that the hotel was slightly out of town and enjoyed the £1 bus rides in. We took advantage of a round the island bus trip, still for £1 as long as you didn't get off the bus. A lovely coast line! St Peter Port is pretty and we also took the bus to see the German occupation museum and the grim German underground hospital. All worth seeing. A highlight was a day trip to Sark. We recommend it. Buy tickets at the harbour. Thank you St Pierre for a very pleasant stay.

Stayed there last week for 7 nights. The facilities are excellent and the staff are very professional and helpful. Stayed half board so ate in the Victor Hugo restaurant which was also very nice. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Good location for access into St Peter Port town, we walked it there and back a few times and it took us around half an hour.

I recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Guernsey.
