We're just back from yet another wonderful stay at St. Pierre Park. The staff are outstanding, in particular, the Restaurant Manager, par excellence, Lidia. Simply nothing is too much trouble for Lidia and her team including Sandra and Linda at the Victor Hugo restaurant. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the breakfasts have an exhaustive selection of food. The hotel's setting is ideal, overlooking a lake and woodland and is situated just the right distance from town being a short bus/taxi ride from the centre of St. Peter Port. It's always such a pleasure to return!

I stayed here last week for 3 nights. This is a nice hotel, think I was expecting a little grander, but it was nice. All rooms have balconies, all be it, some are tiny, I was lucky enough to have a large balcony. The rooms are of a good size, bathrooms light and bright with elemis products complimentary. Has a good gym /pool with separate sauna/steam for ladies and gents. Breakfast is very nice, with polite efficient staff. The hotel is a good 25 minute walk into st peters port, some of it up hill, but a bus journey is £2 ( only £1 if local !!)

We returned from the St Pierre Park hotel yesterday, disappointed we had to leave. It was outstanding, the staff could not do enough to help you, so polite and friendly. Our room was lovely, with everything you need, including luxury elemis beauty products. Food faultless, gym, pool, ambience, cleanliness excellent, we really enjoyed our stay and will be returning very soon. A beautiful island, very peaceful and tranquil.

We stayed here because we were with a group who were singing in a concert of Handel Coronation anthems and other works. So the hotel was booked for us by Specialised Travel. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast very good, and it has big enough grounds to take a walk around the lake where there is a duck house. The hotel is about a mile from the town, but there is a good bus service some of the time, and it is an interesting walk..
What I particularly liked was that there was a nice bar lounge where you could have a meal, there was a good selection of sandwiches , pasta, and other hot dishes , a good range of wine, spirits, soft drinks, coffee and also very nice hot chocolate. These were reasonably priced , and there were tables and sofas scattered round where you could eat. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good , although pricey compared to the bar meals,
We had time to use the swimming pool once, and we also used the gym twice .

The St. Pierre Park Hotel is a little ways out from St. Peter Port's downtown, but it is lovely. The grounds are amazing, but the staff is even better! Everyone, from the reception desk to the servers in La Fontaine and the bar, to the porter, is exceptional. The are friendly, helpful, and service-oriented. I'm so glad we picked this hotel for our stay. It's easily gotten to by bus # 41 or 42 from anywhere on the island. Breakfast and wifi are included in the room rate. If we come back to Guernsey, we'll surely stay here.

3 day stay but same menu each day (March 2013). Not much of that left on last night so waiter dropped the extra £10 for item chosen. However this was added to bill on leaving. When questioned politely at reception, the reception manager closed her office door on us. Not a nice lady. Did not get best of rooms, despite hotel being only one third full. Would not go back.

Nice facilties and great value for money. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a holiday. The staff are really friendly and sweet nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is incredibley reasonably priced and deicious and the wine list is decent. A really relaxed atmosphere to enjoy either a holiday or a few nights away. This is a place which is luxourious but unpretentious. Enjoy.

Really pleasant place. Old-world but modernised in parts. Super buffet breakfast with all choices catered for. Staff well-dressed and comport themselves well. Pleasant and helpful without being in-your-face. Hotel grounds open & extensive. Lots of lawn and large pond with graceful fountain. Golf on site. Location on inland edge of St Peter Port so no sea views but still very restful. Room spacious, clean and well-serviced every day. Balcony with view across lawns & lake. We made a conscious decision to use the public bus service throughout our holiday (buying a weekly saver ticket from the bus driver) and, apart from the first one-day bus strike in Guernsey's history, it was a great success. We got around most of the island and did the coastal tour. A lovely place.

I have never stayed at this hotel overnight as I have family in Guernsey, however I have eaten, drunk and relaxed at this beautiful hotel many times and thoroughly enjoyed each visit.
The food in the Victor Hugo restaurant is second to none, whether dining as a large group or a smaller family. The views are fantastic and the area and atmosphere is very relaxing. There is a small park for the children and lots of open space with a duck pond and fountains, the whole hotel is situated beautifully and the staff are also very pleasant and just add to the wonderful experience enjoyed by all. There is also a spa with pool which never fails to relax and soothe you at the end of the day. Usually visit here on each visit to Guernsey and am always impressed.

Hotel is now under new ownership and it is very obvious. Stayed last year but very different hotel this year, the staff very keen to make your stay a memorable one for all the right reasons. Lake view rooms are probably quieter away from road into St Peters Port. Good size bedrooms and spotlessly clean. Food excellent, breakfast good choice of fruits, cereals and hot buffet. We were on half board and Dinner in the Victor Hugo Restaurant was excellent both in choice and quality. They are certainly going the extra mile!

Stayed there for 3 nights on a mid-week holiday break with Condor Breaks. Reserved and paid the extra for a 'garden view' room on the first floor near the lift as my wife has very limited mobility. Hotel was called and they confirmed that this was possible and assured us that the request would be honoured. On arrival we were given a room at the furthermost part of the hotel from the lift. The receptionist confirmed that our request had been duly noted (highlighted on their paperwork) but was unable to relocate us to another room - only on the following day to a room with a view of the car park and with no refund of the 'garden view' supplement, The duty manager was just as unhelpful saying that requests are never guaranteed whatever the circumstances. Fortunately I had the foresight to bring a wheelchair with us but this meant that my wife relied on me to take her down to the dining room, lounge, spa, etc. - not good for the self esteem of a disabled person.
The room and bathroom was tired and in need of maintenance. The bathroom consisted of basin, WC and bath with shower head and glass screen, which for this room, was missing the seal so every shower resulted in a very wet floor. It was just as well that the shower pressure was next to non-existent or else the water would have seeped into the bedroom. The bath was too deep for my wife to attempt, she had to use the shower in the spa. Also had missing sealant and a couple of broken tiles. I consider that the room was on the small side for a '4 star' - to be expected for I suppose for the UK.

The view of the garden was only possible by walking across a gravelled patio area, impossible to achieve with a wheelchair. There were planters with flowers along the wall at the end of the patio area however there were weeds growing in the gutters above the room - again, just poor maintenance or a lack or maintenance staff. Have uploaded photos.

On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was excellent in terms of quality and variety. The dining staff were also excellent, very attentive and helpful. We dined once in the main restaurant and experienced a long wait for a slightly above average meal, received an apology for the wait and a small discount on the bill - which was unexpected as we had not complained, fair play to the Maitre'd for that. Had a meal in the lounge bar - very good pub food, reasonably priced for a hotel.

Spa was good and mostly unused during our stay. The golf course was OK for a 9 hole par 3 course. 2 or 3 holes were interesting but the rest I considered were nothing special and relatively easy for a high handicapper like myself - didn't bother to play it a second time..

Whilst we were there the hotel acquired new owners so hopefully improvements will be made.

Went for the day. It cost £12.50 for the day to use the facilities.
Swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Towel and robe are provided.
It was, once a fabulous place but the pool room needs attention. The double glazed windows have "blown". The pool was not crystal clear. Around the edge on the water line needed cleaning it was grubby and greasey. The water was warm enough. The changing rooms and showers were all O.K.
Overall it was worth the money but it could be so much better.

We had a week break from the 17th june and i must say every one was fab good food excellent hotel. I dont understand why so many people have made bad reviews about it. The staff are very helpful we had a whole day in the spa and that was great, the swimming pool was great, bedrooms had no Air Con but who needs that in english summers.

We liked it so much that we are back there again in August

Still its good that everyone has different tastes otherwise everything would be the same

First visit to Guernsey and the St. Pierre Park lived up to expectations, excellent hotel in lovely surroundings, our room was large spotlessly clean with every facility ne eded to make a stay very comfortable with views overlooking gardens with a small balcony. Breakfast was very good plenty of choice and excellent service. I used the swimming pool a number times and liked the fact that a bathrobe plus a towel were given. Good size pool for swimmers. Although I had no spa treatments was able to use rest rooms an advantage after swimming. Our booking was BB only, so ate in the Terrace Lounge food was good, menu varied although food and drink thoughtout the hotel a little expensive. On the down side, no evening entertainment at all only board games and cards etc in the Terrace lounge this is not to everyones taste and considering the size of the hotel this could easily be corrected. Our room balcony only had room for one chair as it was a double room should have catered for two. Walking to St Peter Port takes a good 30 mins uphill partly and recommend bus which stops just outside hotel.

stayed there for a weeks break with my girlfriend my son an my parents.
my parents upgraded there room so that they could have a Jacuzzi which was lovely however we were unable to use this for 2 days due to it being filthy so they had to empty it clean it an refill it before we could use it........
overall the holiday was lovely beautiful surroundings, only 20mins walk into st peter port however taxis are readily available an also buses. but what we found out few days into hols is that if your not a local they will charge you more.
hiring a car was so easy an we even had an upgrade 2 a vw golf cabriolet as original car we wanted not available which was given 2 us at the cheaper rate, the island is only small so easy to view the whole island.
I thoroughly recommend a day trip over to herm and sark these islands are very beautiful and a very relaxed way of life on both with only modes of transport walking tractor or horse drawn carts.

On arrival we were informed that our reservation had not been paid for. The receptionist said she would check the next day. I was so worried that I phoned home and gave a member of my family my bank account details who confirmed that payment had been made 3 months earlier! We told the receptionist as soon as we knew and she advised that she also checked but she offered no apology and had no intention of letting us know the outcome of her enquiry.

Waited for an hour for food which was cold when it arrived and consequently ate out every evening after. However could not fault breakfast - excellent choices and the best staff in the whole hotel.

Ordered a lunch time snack at the Pavilion restaurant and 3 out of the 4 orders were incorrect. My husbands ham sandwich contained cellophane and when pointed out to the waiter said "I will show the evidence to the kitchen". Again no apology - didn't eat there again either.

Spa treatment rooms need updating. Where I had my treatment there were brown water stains on the ceiling and the lighting was inadequate so much so that my nail polish was applied very badly. The terrace area outside the pool is in need of painting and in the meantime removal of cobwebs would help. It all looks very tired.

Hotel bedroom looked dated with dark brown furniture and the patio doors also need some maintenance. This may have been a 4 star hotel once but not anymore.

We stayed four nights at this wonderful hotel. The minute we walked in we were impressed with the cleanliness, polite staff super room and fantastic surroundings. We highly recommend going for a swim there, as you are kitted out with a white robe and fluffy towel. we were forewarned prior to a function that there may be some noise but we were not disturbed. Our room overlooked the lake and water fountain and was modern clean and spacious. Our room got a little warm at night but was soon rectified by opening the window. The hotel is situated about a 20 minute brisk walk from st peter port, but close by is a bus stop. We can recommend the buses, a great way to see the island. The breakfasts cater for all tastes and offer an array of fabulous food, from fruit salads cereals, cooked breakfasts and Guernsey produce. Well worth a visit.

Spacious and elegant. Full range of facilities, as you'd expect from a 4 star. Good pool, gym, dry and steam hot rooms - so remember to take your costume and goggles. Free wifi, with good connectivity. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast buffet was extensive and well presented. Vista across the grounds was stunning. Staff welcoming and efficient.
Bedroom was large, with small balcony, large bathroom.

Ok hotel. Restaurant had no availability until late and the independent restaurant was closed so ate in the bar. This was reasonable. The safety deposit box in my room was broken but maintenance did come and fix it. Shower took a very long time for the water to heat. The best bit about this hotel is the breakfast - a lovely spread and the gym facilities are good too.

Good all round hotel with excellent facilities. Friendly staff. Well ekpt. Excellent buffet breakfast - but check opening times if you need to leave early.

Only slight niggle is that many of the matresses are very tired! I have stayed in 4 rooms over the last 6 weeks - all the same

Guernsey is a beautiful island rich in history and I would recommend a visit to anyone. This premier resort Spa and Golf Hotel is a terrific place - the grounds are nice, the service is great, and I was very impressed by the employees - very helpful.

Small-Town friendliness but a bit outdated. The staff was ever so wonderful and even though I myself am more of a modern minimalist hotel kind of person, I will return here with a spring in my step and a song in my heart because the place makes you feel at home.

we stayed at the st pierre park hotel for a girly weekend...we decided to treat ourselves to a bit of pampering at the spa..i had the most amazing massage off a lovely young lady called Alice who i can only say has magic hands..my friend decided to have a shallac manicure and was well impressed with her therapist known as livs who was bubbly and chatty making my friend feel like she had known her forever..the spa was clean ,the staff well presented and the charming male receptionist with the cheeky grin was a great help when we wanted to buy some beauty products..we had a bit of a cougar crush lol..i had read some of the previous bad comments about the spa but i can honestly say i found it clean, well run and a lovely friendly atmosphere this may be down to the new spa manager who seems really friendly and efficient..the rest of the hotel was spacious clean and the gardens were amazing with the lake a stunning place to sit in the sunshine..i would also like to mention the friendly bar staff especially the liverpool lad who again was friendly and helpful..all in all this is a great place to visit and sue and myself are already looking forward to returning again later this summmer..

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days to celebrate my Birthday. We couldn't fault the Hotel at all.The room was spacious, and well furnished, and the bathroom was very nice., and clean with a good shower. The only 'fault' was that the room was very warm! The room was cleaned and towels changed every day. Breakfast was lovely....plenty of choice from cooked full English to a bowl of cornflakes, with pastries and fresh breads and fruit. We didn't dine at the Hotel, but were confused with the restaurant which is in the Hotel, but independent from it?!Nice food and service was good (although we were told at one stage that there was a backlog of orders and we would have to wait....then to be told by another member of staff that it was fine!) The Hotel is in walking distance to the Port at around half an hour......the walk back is mostly uphill though! We were sent a message to inform us of a dinner dance going on and to be aware of the noise, which we weren't looking forward to. In the end we arrived back at the hotel from a meal out at 11.00pm, to find the 'party goers' leaving, so no noise for us. I think people need to be aware that a popular hotel like this will have functions, and to check before they book whether there will be any when they stay.We didn't use the Spa services, but used the pool and the steam room. We found the staff helpful and polite, and pool and jacuzzi we very pleasant. Overall we enjoyed our stay at St Pierre Park, and really enjoyed the trip to Guernsey (and Sark is amazing!!) We would definitely recommend it.
