We stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas. The hotel is very nice with lovely gardens. Some disappointment with rooms re mattress not too comfy and iron burn mark (large and obvious) on carpet which prevented me from rating hotel as excellent. Meals were exceptional - very high standard menu offering multiple choices for all courses.
Staff were very attentive and helpful with any request made met effectively and efficiently. Staff and depute manager, Carlos were particularly helpful with a problem I had regarding a purchase I made in a department store. Late Christmas eve I noticed store assistant had omitted to take security tag off garment. I was due to return to Scotland before they reopened after Christmas break. Carlos offered to have one of his staff take garment back to store after Christmas and post it back to me.
Would definitely recommend hotel .

Very nice hotel, pleasant staff, quiet and comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Not within walking distance of any restaurants for dinner, but the hotel has a dining room (satisfactory food), and downtown is only a short taxi ride away. Would happily stay here again.

I stay here on business and the staff are fantastic, welcoming, helpful and efficient. The bar has a nice relaxed atmosphere and breakfast is really good. Meals cover all tastes and the chilli is really good. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfy and the showers are nice and hot. Never had a bad stay and look forward to my next visit.

Can't fault it in any way

We stayed at St Pierre Park hotel on a Travelzoo deal including car hire for 3nights......the hotel is lovely, well positioned for base to visit all tourist attractions on Guernsey (not being a large island) also catching the bus in to town. A Waitrose is opposite but we didn't spot it straight away. We had a garden ground floor room with connecting twin for our daughter, who loved having her own appartment with couch & TV! Everyone there helpful especially as we had to rearrange our Condor crossing before we got there! Will be back, but flying next time! :-)

First time here and can easily recommend. Our stay was faultless, lovely room with a balcony and pleasant views of the lake. Good breakfasts served with a smile. One evening we came back late and ate in the bar, the food was boiling hot and arrived quickly. Staff are good and always spoke to us as we passed the reception. Great choice of ways to relax we used the pool and twice had it to ourselves. Top resort would stay here again without delay.

We arrived on a Saturday and stayed for around 24 hours with 2 young children. Everything was how we expect for a 4 star resort hotel. Check-in was swift and our room was ready a good couple of hours before advertised, our family room was comfortable and well supplied with a choice of teas and coffees, complimentary toiletries and 2 full size single beds and a king size double. We needed to call down to reception to borrow an iron which was efficiently and courteously delivered. The view from our room was nothing amazing but we knew a number of other people staying in the hotel that weekend who had some beautiful views. We weren't staying long enough to mind and perhaps we were a little limited by needing a family room but I'm sure the majority of rooms do afford a scenic view given that the hotel is set in beautiful grounds,
We made good use of the pool facilities and found them to be clean and well maintained with decent showers. My only gripe would be that the toiletries in the women's showers were a bit hit and miss - shampoo in some cubicles and shower gel in others, no conditioner in any!
We spent some time relaxing in the bar area too (where the wi-fi reception was more reliable than our room) and all in all we found the hotel to be a comfortable, relaxing place to be. I was very impressed by the standard of service and the quality of the food at the breakfast - you'd be hard pressed not to find something to everybody's taste and it was great to have local produce available also.
All in all a much enjoyed stay that met all my expectations and is, in my opinion, a hotel that deserves its status as a 4 star resort hotel.

Stayed here for two nights over the weekend. The hotel room was clean but a little dated but the public areas were good and the breakfasts were excellent. We found the hotel bar prices very expensive, but all staff were good and helpful.
There were two issues. First is with the noise from the functions, that although we were warned by a letter in our room when we arrived, it is too late then. The hotel does state on their website to "Come and enjoy the peace and luxury of The St Pierre Park Hotel"!! but they are set up to have at least three functions a night!
The other issue is that the hotel is located a long walk from the main town.
For these reasons although I would visit Guernsey again I would probably stay in a different hotel.

We flew from Southampton to Guernsey for a 4 night break at the St Pierre on 20th October. Our room was on the top floor with a small balcony overlooking the lake - quiet, clean and well furnished with comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was good and food served in the bar/restaurant excellent. There is also an A la carte restaurant and a independently run cafe. Car parking space is plentiful and just opposite the entrance is a Waitrose store with an in-store cafe, and a pharmacy. Sports facilities are comprehensive with a gym, golf course and tennis courts.

The hotel is well situated for travel round the island but also within reasonable walking distance, or short taxi ride, to St Peter Port shops and centre.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again to a well run hotel, in lovely grounds with good service and excellent facilities.

Staff all very helpful. Rooms spotless and comfortable with tv, dvd player, coffee machine. Nice view and balcony. Breakfast - spoilt for choice. Also cleaners don't start hoovering too early, which is brilliant if you want a lay in.
The rooms at the back with balcony very quite

I have stayed at this hotel about 6 times over the last 3 years 2 of them times being in 2012. The rooms are very clean and always lovely!!. The only thing I can really find a fault with is some of the chairs/sofas in the bar are a bit worn and could do with being changed.

I was advised to book into this hotel whilst on a one night business trip to the island.
I arrived at around 8:30pm and check in was very quick and easy.
The room was large and very comfortable with a nice balcony. It was very useful to have all the complimentary items in the bathroom so that I could travel light with only hand luggage on the flight.
I decided to have a bar meal which was excellent as was the breakfast the following morning.
Check out again was very swiftly dealt with.
All in all a very comftable hotel which perfectly met my requirements for the evening.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip with 3 colleagues. We were there for a week and I can find very little to fault this place. If I have to pick any fault it would be that the pillows are not the best, they were quite hard. Cleanliness cannot be faulted and the waiting and bar staff were always friendly and helpful.

First time on the Island in the luxury of a Hotel after many years camping. The Hotel organised the package, including car and ferry crossing - and when bad weather disrupted our crossing and we lost our first day, Siobahn was invaluable. Once at the Hotel, we found all staff similarly attentive and friendly, the restaurant food superb and the breakfast second to none with its selection of hot and cold offers. Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, our room was fabulous with more or less a separate apartment for our daughter (who was delighted to have her own sofa and tv) and we had a polite letter under the door informing us that the Hotel was hosting evening events over the weekend. I've workied in the travel industry for 25 years and stayed all over the world, but the combination of my favourite Island and the quality of the Hotel made this weekend memorable for all the right reasons.

I went for 1 night a couple of weeks ago with my 6 month old baby. Checked in ok....got to my room and there was a note under the door saying there was a party on that night and they were sorry for any noise. The room was comfy and as it was already getting late I ordered room service, which arrived quickly and the waitress was very pleasant. Went to bed about 11...but was kept awake til after midnight by drunken renditions of "baby you're a firework" etc as the doors to the party room were wide open and people were outside being very loud. I paid £168 and was expecting better. The bed was comfy and breakfast great, but I felt cheated by the lack of sleep...I felt I should have been warned when I booked or at least at check in.

THE GOOD: Fast check-in, large well-equipped room, big modern bathroom (accommodation appears to have been refurbished since older reviews), comfortable bed.

THE BAD: Room was far too hot. Notice pushed under door from management stating that noise from a function was likely to go on until late. Paper-thin walls meant I could hear next door’s TV which was on until 2.30am! Breakfast was OK but colleagues complained about stodgy food that had been sitting on the buffet for too long and fried bread dripping with oil.

THE UGLY: Having been up since 4am to fly to Guernsey, and spent all day at meetings / presentations, I returned to the hotel at 11pm on 6 October and had to push through crowds of drunken youths smoking outside the entrance. The noise from a disco/function was unbearable – as deafening in my room as it was in the foyer. It finally stopped at 1am – but the screaming and shouting of drunken people downstairs, and in the car park/gardens, went on until well past 2am. Impossible to sleep and ruined the stay, especially as I had to be up for work at 7.30am the next morning.

We really enjoyed our stay, We had a nice room with a hot tub, it wasnt very private though. The view from the room was very nice. The hotel is a bit dated, the breakfast room is like a big canteen, its a bit souless really. Food was good though. We also had lunch in the bar which was nice. The bar itself feels wrong somehow...... Its not very welcoming or well laid out, cant quite put my finger on it. Staff could do with training, Im stickler for eye contact & greeting, although not rude they were tad indifferent. Gym/ beauty girls were cheery & pleasant. Hairdriers in room are absolute rubbish so take your own. Tennis courts were ok, mini golf needs a re vamp ( hole number 2 robs your ball ) Guernsey was great, I preferred it to Jersey. We did lot of walking and got the ferry to Sark for dinner.

Close but no cigar

Stayed at the St Pierre Park Hotel Guernsey between 12/10/12 and 14/10/12 (2 nights)

Summary

A nice hotel with friendly staff, good bar food and good facilities

Positives
Good facilities
Great choice for breakfast
Friendly staff
Great fish and chips in the bar
Clean room

Negatives
Unable to open the door to the balcony due to Noisy air conditioning
Restrictive check out time
Small choice of food in the main restaurant

Reached the hotel at about 19:45 on a Friday night, check in was easy and the receptionist was friendly and informative about the hotel (a Dutch girl who is going home soon she said). The hotel was busy as there was a function in the bar. we were told by the receptionist that they would be finished by 20:00. Our room was on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel looking over the car park. There was a patio door leading to a small balcony. The room was clean and a reasonable size for two people. There was a kettle with coffee and tea, also in a draw was a hair dryer. The bed was two singles pushed together which is not everybody's cup of tea. The bathroom was also clean and well stocked with soap and shampoo.
We went to the bar at just after 20:00 and as promised it had cleared of the function guests and was nice and quite. We ordered fish and chip from the bar menu which we both agreed was delicious. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Friday night we had a good nights sleep.

Breakfast on Saturday was great, a large choice of hot food, fruits and cereal, the breakfast staff were again friendly and efficient. Later in the day we used the swimming pool and jacuzzi, the pool is 25m and 2.3 m deep at one end. Didn't get a chance to use the relaxation facilities, an all over massage would have been £45, they offer lots of other beauty and relaxation therapies.
Everything was looking good and the 4 star hotel tag was living up to its promise, however, on our second night we a had a couple of issues, we eat in the bar again as the previous nights food had been good. My wife had the curry of the day and my son had carbonara, both meals were poor and they said tasteless. I had the fish pie and thought it was really good. When the waiter came to clear the plates he asked if the meal was OK, my wife told him about the food and he said he'd get the manager. To his credit the manager was very quick to apologise and removed the meal charge from our bill, this was outstanding customer service in my view. Unfortunately the second night sleep was not a good one, it was warm and we needed to open the balcony door, this meant we had to put up with the air conditioning compressors which were located on the ground floor switching on every so often.
Breakfast again was superb. As we were not flying until the afternoon we asked reception if we could check out a bit later, they came back with a yes but it would cost £25, I can't understand were their cost is in a late check out to justify this charge. The reason they gave at reception was that the room was needed for a guest who was checking in that day and had requested our room. This just didn't make sense as they would not have tried to charge us if it was needed. I didn't argue as I didn't feel it would help and we had packed by that time. The receptionist did say we were welcome to store our bags and use the facilities for the rest of the day.

Summary
A nice hotel with generally good customer service, the bar staff were excellent as was the fish and chips, facilities are good, however, rooms on the front of the hotel are subject to noise from the car park and the air con (which does not supply the rooms). Not being flexible on check out also spoilt what would have been very good marks. I would recommend this hotel but would advise you to get a room at the back of the hotel.

I stayed here for a few days whilst on business in Guernsey. I had a query before arrival which was replied to instantly and this set a good tone.

Check-in was quick and efficient, but when I received a big old fashioned room key instead of the usual keycards I was a bit surprised and when I got to the room, the old fashioned theme continued. The decor and feel was very dated, maybe early 90s, but the amenities were pretty decent with a small flat screen TV, Pod coffee machine, modern bathroom etc. The walls are thin so I could hear voices and the TV coming from a neighbouring room during the night.

The room did have a balcony but apart from the fact it rained the whole time I was there, the balconies are quite cramped and all in a line so you are right next to your neighbours.

Breakfast was buffet style and very good. A wide selection of hot and cold items, a few more interesting items than the usual bog standard affairs in the faceless chain hotels, with black pudding, a choice of eggs and sausages etc.

I didn't try the restaurant in the evening but did eat in the bar. The service was friendly and the food was good. The bar menu was reasonably priced and the selection of items was good.

The hotel is a bit isolated, there is not a lot nearby except houses, no decent pubs or restaurants in easy walking distance (especially when the rain was so bad!). There is a bus stop just down the road and it appears to be on a few different routes so buses are pretty regular. The hotel must be on the main road to the main town as the traffic was appalling in the morning.

The room rate was very reasonable and included breakfast, so overall very good value.

This hotel is a five minute drive from St Peter's Port in Guernsey. And on the bus route to almost everywhere. Guernsey is not a very big island so it's fairly easy to get around in any case.
The room we had was not very big...but was nice. The downside---the walls are very thin so you can hear the television, bathroom and conversation in the other rooms. The upside...the service at the restaurant and bar was excellent, and the room had a lovely balcony that overlooked the lush gardens of the property, a gurgling brook and a famous Guernsey cow!
I loved the bar, it had a great outdoor seating that overlooked a lake sort of water body, and the waiters were exceptionally attentive.
There is an indoor swimming pool which was at the perfect temperature...the steam room was not very clean so skipped that.

We stay here for 4 days on our recent 3rd trip to Guernsey.

Its was our first stay at this hotel and very enjoyable. We had a garden facing room which was very nice, however the balcony was only just large enough for 1 chair, so not really a balcony, just ap place for one to sit.

The room had recenly been refurbished, so was clean and tidy, but the dark wood and accoustic ceiling tiles should have been replaced at the same time.

We had the breakfast option included, and like all the food was excellant, but i am not sure if it was worth buying it seperately. 5 mins walk away is a large Waitrose with a very nice Cafe.

Service impecable, could not fault it, they went the extra mile for us on a number of things. I was impressed.

This hotel is not in the centre of town or harbourside, but 15 minutes walk will get you there, the hotel staff were really helpful with the short cuts and places to visit.

Overall a very nice stay, nice hotel, excellant staff, make sure you get a good package because it can be expensive. The photos are a fair representation of this hotel.
