Having booked this hotel via Lastminute.com the night before travel I didn't have the time to check any reviews.

I needn't have worried.

Without exception, it is one of the most pleasant hotel my wife, my young daughter and I have stayed in.

The pool, the food, the room, and the staff professionalism are all at a level that is way above the norm, and at a price level that is very competitive.

And no, I don't work for the hotel !!
It's just that when staying at numerous hotels over the years you kinda get used to disappointment in one way or another. !!

Saint Pierre Park bucks that trend.

Well Done

We booked a 2 night stay over New Year here ! We arrived in Guernsey on a very wet dull day.....and alot earlier than our informed check in time !
We arrived at the hotel, and the charming receptionist allowed us to check in at 1030 !! We were really grateful for this !
The reception was tastly decorated for Xmas, a nice tree and various decs and xmas music playing softly.
We were given our room key and we made our way to the room, we were pleasantly surprised....a lovely large room, huge bed, nice white bedding, flat tv, tea/coffee faclities, free wi-fi and a lovely large bathroom with Elemis toiletries.
We dropped our bags off and went to explore, the Hotel has a beautiful spa/gym/pool area .
All the facilites are complimentary for guests, there is a very nice jacuzzi poolside, and a warm indoor pool.
The hotel has a very pleasant bar area, very nice staff, and prices are not extortionate.
The grounds of the hotel look beautiful, unfortuantly due to the weather, we couldn't really take advantage of this !
The hotel, I believe , has a golf course.
The location of the hotel is good,a 20minute walk into town, we walked during the day as parking is a nightmare in St Peter Port.
In the evening we took a taxi, £5 each way.
The breakfast in the hotel was excellent, a huge buffet, everything piping hot that should be hot ! Lovely choice of fresh fruits, various juices and good coffee !
On New Years Eve, we dined at the Hotel, it was superb Service was 1st class, when we sat down, we were offered a glass of champagne and a platter of canapies whilst we looked at the menu.... a very nice touch !
For main course, I had pork loin , wrapped in Parma ham, which was delicious, my partner had , probably the best steak ever !!
The staff in this hotel are charming, friendly and very helpful.
We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this to others !

Autumn break for four nights, hotel nice rooms and good breakfast, fab position in its own grounds with a lake and within 15 mins easy walk into town.

The heating/ radiator would not go off when we were there but fixed real quick, the swimming pool is good if a little dated but I could not recomend the gym, small hot and not much kit. Really unsure why people use it as a gym if they not staying in the hotel ? Maybe not much other choice ? We had a massage each when we stayed and it was a 7 out of ten, massage beds bit uncomfortable and creaked, room bit small, atmosphere not righ so a pleasing but not a wow experince.

The bar area was good and the bar snackes recomended. The service was fine all through our staff , a lot of russian staff. Hotel right over the road from Waitrose so handy to buy water, bottle of wine for room etc in. Enjoyed it and would stay again.

a 2 night stay during miserable weather between Christmas & New Year - so we valued excellent pool and jacuzzi. Pretty standard hotel, but room had everything you need with a comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was good and staff were all helpful. We didn't have any other meal at the hotel because we were happily exploring other eateries. We liked the out-of-town location because we enjoy brisk walking - we did the 20 minutes into town twice each day, and walked to the beautiful west coast as well. I would love to return in good weather and take advantage of the balcony, grounds and terraces and tennis courts - it must be lovely.

Just stayed for one night but had a very pleasant stay. Very nice food in the comfortable bar with friendly efficient staff.
Pretty standard room but well equipped, clean and very comfortable.
Staff were exceptional and literally went out of their way to help.

We decided to make a weekend of it, while visiting Guernsey FC. The weather for this time of year was excellent, and the hotel made it even better. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast spread was very good.
We used the bar in the evenings and ordered food from the menu, but this was generally bland and could be enhanced by better flavouring, although nicely presented.
bedroom was very warm despite turning off the radiator, and the king size double was 2 singles put together

Things have clearly improved a lot at this hotel since some of the previous comments were posted - our bathroom had not a hint of avocado, but was instead newly refurbished and finished very nicely, with modern clean lines. The bedroom was fine - a bit characterless, but a decent size and clean. Tea and coffee facilities are provided. Breakfast was fine - a good wide choice and pretty good quality.

What lets the hotel down a bit is some of the common areas. The dining room has cheap stackable chairs which are rather utilitarian looking, and an old fashioned carpet. Most of the common areas have 1970s style, tired looking acoustic ceiling tiles, which look well past their prime. Quite a lot of lightbulbs were dead and had not been replaced. The chap on the concierge desk could not seem to grasp that we wanted him to book us a cab, and we didn't want to wait 45 minutes until the next bus came.

It's fine as a hotel....but certainly not a great hotel. Location-wise, the hotel has nice gardens but the town centre is only walkable for the fit! (circa 25 minute walk).

My stay was short and i was working nights on the island so i never ate evening meals at the hotel. The room was 1st class and was equipped with free wifi. The breakfasts were also 1st class. I never used the leisure club so cannot comment.
However i will be returning this next week so may be able to use all the facilities.

We had a very pleasant stay here in June. Our room faced the gardens to the rear of the hotel, which reflected an oasis of calm and tranquility. Just lovely for a truly relaxing break !
The breakfast and evening meals were adequate and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was good. We would certainly seek to return when visiting the Island again.

We just love returning here. The hotel is tranquil, the breakfast filling and with the added luxury of the swimming pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, tv etc. Lovely looking out over the lake.
Just one problem this visit but it wasn't the hotels fault, there was a group of youngsters who made alot of noise on their last night, in the corridor.
Will be returning.
We always eat out though, at the Tennerfest, so many restaurants to choose from.

We stayed for four days in October and had a great time, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice for everyone I don't think anyone could complain about breakfast. Our only issue was the air on was on in the breakfast room but the staff did warn you before you sat down.
We eat in the hotel three times and the food was excellent but a bit expensive. We had room service which was very reasonable in comparison but the food was all of a high standard.
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable so we had a good nights sleep. A great thing for us was the free wi if throughout the hotel and free use of the business centre not very many hotels have this.
Overall very pleased and would stay again.

We don't normally stay in hotels like this, but we wanted a bit of luxury and also wanted a family room with a separate section for our two young children. Our room was a good size with nice separate section for our children, both sections of the room had their own tv, and the wifi worked perfectly without even having to enter a password. The room was on the ground floor over looking the playground so we could have let the children play in the playground and see them from our room, although we didnt do that.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with everything you wanted and all very well cooked. We also had a couple of meals in the bar, and they were also faultless, except for a curry that was a little lacking in 'curriness'.

Staff were very professional, but also friendly , we never felt that we a problem despite having two young and sometimes noisy children. There was also a lovely pool and jacuzzi, childrens playground, crazy golf and tennis.

Its out of town but right on a bus route into the centre.

My parents and I visited Guernsey for the first time after Jersey. I got the impression that not many North Americans probably visit the Channel Islands when there are so many other sites in Europe and the UK, but I thought this would be a nice break after my school term ended. The 20 minute walking distance away from the town gives this place such a peaceful atmosphere. Another plus: Instead of walking you can always take the bus into town, only costing 1 pound. With that being said, the sauna and pool facilities were really clean, but most times it was occupied with noisy children, which slightly hindered our enjoyment. Their stock of clean robes and towels are a nice touch after rinsing off from the pool.

On our first night here, we were too tired to venture back into town so we decided upon eating at their Renoir restaurant downstairs. Though their menu isn't very big and the prices are a little on the high side for the portions you get. I particularly enjoyed the roast lamb I had, but I concede that a much more impressive experience is held at breakfast. Their breakfasts have a phenomenal selection of hot and cold items. There is such a large and fresh selection here of everything from criossants to fruit that I thoroughly enjoyed eating here a leisurely slow pace. The staff are also very attentive and clear dishes right away. This place is second on my list next to Radisson Blu. Another plus: You can make personal orders i.e. poached egg anyone?

As for choosing this place, we were having difficulties in finding a palce that would accomodate three people in one room. We settled for here because they were able to accomodate us by situating an extra bed in a 2 person room. However, this situation lacked a lot of space and I found the room kind of on the small side. Our balcony did offer us a lovely view of the back, which consisted of a pond and walkway. I suspect that if we were to have stayed somewhere in town, it probably would not have had such a green and serene surrounding.

An excellent Wednesday to Sunday stay to cover a weekend reunion. The hotel pulled out all the stops for the reunion and our guests were not disappointed. Excellent food, good service. The hotel has plenty of parking, is within walking distance (20 mins) of the town and right opposite a new large Waitrose store and within an easy drive of some beautiful coves and also large beaches. We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite which was on a corner with 2 aspects over the grounds. The birds on the lake were wonderful. Used the spa pool (robes and towels provided) beauty treatments and hairdressing also available, although we did not use these. One evening I was unwell and my husband ordered room service, which was quick and very good. Highly recommended all round.

Booked this on a super saver deal. The room was Nice with views overlooking gardens.Plenty of different teas to choose from but only 2 sachets of coffee. Lovely Viloroy and boch bathroom. The breakfast here was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. No it IS the best. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Who are all most pleasant. I lovely indoor pool, Gym and Spa.
Its about 20 min walk to st Peter Port town centre. All down hill....And its right opposite a waitrose if you need cheap water etc.

Group of three adults, including a disabled person. Location close to St. Peter Port and on bus route is good since we didn't bring a car. Were given rooms on the lower ground floor facing the car park, due to access requirements. These rooms were near to a noisy generator, so we asked to be moved and were allocated family rooms facing the gardens, which were much better and included a balcony. We only ate one evening meal in the hotel, receiving very poor meals in the Terrace bar - fish and chips looked like it had been rescued from waste bin !! Not what we expected from a 4 star hotel. Breakfasts were only average. Thankfully, hotel is close to Crabby Jacks and excellant Waitrose store. The bar staff, however, were very attentive, especially Adrian. Excellant room service, beauty treatment good and outlook excellant, but shame about the food. Advise against booking rooms near generator, and check whether any groups staying - heard complaints about behaviour of youngsters. Will try somewhere else on out next trip to Guernsey.

We were in Guernsey for a wedding and a large group fo us were booked into this hotel. It's a typical 70's hotel which has been updated. The location in Rohais is very good and central. Bus route/taxis on the doorstep. Very wide difference in the room decorations and facilities though. Our room was very traditional, dark wood, comfortable with a modern bathroom. Our fellow traveller's had a very much updated modern room but with a fridge. We had a good view out at the back onto the park. The hotel has lovely grounds, with a lake, park etc and is very quiet. The thing I liked about this hotel was that although it is quite large, and built in the 70's it still retains a bit of grand personal service which is really nice. Good concierge service, friendly reception. Great buffet breakfast, and bar food service. It was a great stay.

I stayed one night for business purposes. The hotel is pleasant but not remarkable and business services are good but not excellent.

Having said that, I have no particular complaint and would stay there again and use it again for business purposes.

We didn't have the best of rooms, overlooking the main road but we weren't paying top dollar and it was a short break. The room was, however, well appointed and very clean and comfortable. The Renoir restaurant offers an excellent dinner in beautiful surroundings and the hotel is in an almost countryside setting with the public rooms overlooking lake and park. Staff were unobtrusive and pleasant, ready to help without getting in your face.

Would have been great except for the fact that the fans from the lesuire centre came on at around 8am and disturbed us all day long. Reception said it couldn't be turned off and as fully booked they wouldn't move us.

Asides from that, Hotel very good, and Guernsey amazing. The sea food on the island great. The only meal we had at the hotel was breakfast and that was very good.

Would consider going to hotel again if they sort the noise! Def would visit channel islands again- great place and so easy to fly to.

I stayed 6 nights here, the first on my own and than I was joined by my Boyf. He's a workaholic so the free wifi and gym facilities persuaded him to come.
On my own there for 2 days I felt very happy, staff were friendly and there was a lively atmosphere in
the bar and round the pool. It's a very easy place to chill out although some comfy sofas in a quiet corner would have helped my pile of reading.
The balcony in our room was great and most days we went to waitrose
across the road and had a picnic sat outside. One side of the hotel overlooks a car park and the other the lake and childrens play area.
The hotel isn't characterful but it is efficient, welcoming and relaxing.

The pool is excellent and the resteraunt food is good if a bit 80's chic. Service was brilliant. The bar food could be a lot better.

Thanks to everybody at the hotel, we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here Bed & Breakfast, last October for a long weekend and again August for 3 nights.
The breakfast has everything you could ever want to eat and always good quality. The table staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are clean and functional, and lovely big beds, bathroom was clean & modern, the static furniture in the bedroom is a little dated, but that is being picky!!
Fantastic grounds with its own lake, & golf course if you are wanting it. Have used the swimming pool, hot tub & sauna which are all available to guests, and an onsite spa & gym if you feel the need. The only thing lacking was some form of entertainment in the evening and maybe some sort of games room for children.

I have just returned from a well needed weekend break at St. Pierre Park in Guernsey.
This was the first time I had stayed here and had a fantastic time.

The attentiveness of the staff was second to none. From the welcome we received at reception through to the proffessionalism of the bar staff, we could not have asked for more.

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in, definitely worth a visit.
