Stayed here for 4 nights as I was performing as part of Guernsey Liberation Day celebrations. The hotel is larger than it looks from the outside, and is really quite swish and very comfortable indeed. My room was large with a lovely sized bathroom, a nice balcony and very comfy bed. Breakfast was delivered to my room on one of the days, and it was delicious and on time ! The hotel itself is very lovely, and the gym facilities are fantastic and its within easy walking distance to a local Waitrose - as food in the hotel is quite expensive ! Guernsey is beautiful, and I would definitely like to visit again.

The St Pierre Park is one of the best hotels we've had the pleasure of staying in, the reception staff on arrival were extremely helpful, courteous and efficient always available to help providing all the information needed for an enjoyable stay. Our day started with an excellent buffet breakfast in the spacious dining room with a huge variety on offer suitable for all tastes and diets. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean with over sized comfortable beds and a large fully equipped bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The view from the balcony across the adjacent lake in the grounds was stunning particularly in the evenings as the sun set across the distant tree line. All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant during our stay, they dealt with our enquiries and any requests with a smile and good humour. Room service was also provided on request and delivered very promptly. Overall an excellent stay and have recommended St Pierre Park to several friends and colleagues.

Just back from this hotel after a stay on Guernsey. My family had three very beautiful and expensive suites. The food was excellent and the facilities superb. We had booked 5 nights for the price of 4. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon. Our flights were booked for the evening on the Thursday. The hotel insisted (due to their policies) that we check out at 11am on the Thursday as our flight was later that evening, even though we had paid for a 5 night deal. We were then told we had to vacate as they had booked our suites to someone else. We were then told we could stay in our suites if we paid an extra £50 per suite supplement (for rooms we had already paid for?). So the rooms had not been booked for someone else. It was a total mess. Our young children had to wait around until everything was sorted. The entire room service charge was taken from my credit card without me checking out and after my complaint it was credited back. The staff were rude and there was no flexibility or compromise. It totally spoiled our holiday. Check the deals and make sure everything is water-tight with this hotel. The rooms, food and facilities were excellent but oh dear - they seriously need some customer service training!

We stayed here again in July, and have visited the hotel almost every year for the past 15 years, the staff are friendly and since the refub the rooms are clean and functional although it really is time they got rid of all that darK wood furniture in the bedrooms which has certainly been there since we first started to go. Also my pet hate in any hotel is 2 single beds pushed togather to make a double, and this is what we got, it was extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast is good with a wide selection and the facilities, pool, tennis courts and spa all are acceptable, I would say however this is a favourite place for local weddings and other events, the last twice we have stayed there has been an evening function and the noise is horendous, the hotel very kindly advise you by putting a letter under the room door, however the screeming, loud music, shouting and singing goes on into the early hours and has made out last 2 stays not as good as they could have been, it really may be time for a change for our next visit to the island.

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of business trips to the UK and have been extremely please every time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious! Love the meat and cheese selection available along with the fresh fruit. You never feel like you are rushed at any time. The bar is very accommodating and the food is fantastic! Would definitely recommend this hotel as a business stay or personal!

Comfortably positioned away from the main road in pleasant gardens. Good parking. Large reception area. Nice clean room and bathroom. Tea making facilities. There is a supermarket across the road. Town centre is a walk away, or take the bus.

I stayed here for six nights on a recent business trip.

The hotel is easy to find with ample parking and a good entrance area which allows cars to drive up to the door and unload. The Reception staff are very helpful and welcoming and the hotel feels inviting from the moment you walk through the doors.

I had a room on the third floor. It was just what was needed. However, one factor missing was air-conditioning. The room was baking hot and, although I had patio doors to my room, they led to a shared balcony that was connected to every other room on the third floor and I didn't fancy leaving my door open at night! This was probably my only complaint with the room.

The bed was large and comfy, the TV worked, there was tea & coffee and the bathroom was clean and modern and well stocked with toiletries.

The hotel breakfast was very good indeed and I had freshly cooked porridge every day. There was also ample cereals, fresh fruit, juices, yogurts, pastries, and a wide selection of hot cooked English breakfast ingredients.

During the evenings, I usually ate in the bar. The fish & chips and sausages & mash were very tasty and great value and the local Roquette cider is fantastic.

This is a very good hotel that I can recommend.

Competitive prices. Helpful staff. Good food in the Renoir Restaurant but bar food a bit disappointing (didn't match the description on the menu - chicken salad had no salad!).
Good facilities for a short break.
Problem with bath tap fixed quickly but overall lighting rather dim.

Stayed here just the one night on business. Room was adequate, quite spacious with comfortable bed. Overlooked an inner courtyard which wasn't great. My colleague had a front facing room which was better. Grounds are very nice - sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake was very relaxing. Internal corridors perhaps a little jaded, but bar & restaurant pleasant. Staff were 90% foreign but all very polite and helpful with excellent English. We were taken out for dinner so can't comment on that but the breakfast was very good - absolutely everything you could ask for from a hot/cold buffet style service plus omelettes made to order etc. I didn't have chance to use gym/pool but one of my colleagues did and said it was fine. Location is a little remote, but I would say again on business.

I recently spent one night here and was very disappointed, its 4 star but my room had no hairdyer, no fridge, no ironing facilities and overlooked the carpark next to the main road and was next to a type of generator which came on and off constantly making it impossible to open the windows, no aircon so very warm all night, nice bathroom though. the restaurant staff were all lovely but the menu choice was very limited and it was expensive for what it delivered, no house wine on offer but the breakfast was very good and was the best bit of the stay, the lake at the back is beautiful and the gym and spa facilities adequate, I wouldnt stay again and i believe it should have a 3 star rating only.

I stayed away from this hotel for some years because its service was poor, its facilities were horribly outdated and the rooms hadn't seen any attention since the hotel's opening in the 1980s. Now many of those issues have been addressed, and credit where it's due - the welcome from the front desk was sincere, as was the quality of service (particularly from Craig on the front desk). The room we stayed in had clearly had a lot of work done, from the furnishings through to an improved mattress, and then there was the utterly overhauled (for the better) bathroom. But problems remain, which the management seems unbothered by, and they really *should* be bothered.

It's a confusing place - we arrived to find the downstairs restaurant closed and no indications that the ground floor bar served food (my father, who lives in Guernsey knew). It was of very high quality but was almost empty throughout. It was also mystifying why the room corridors remained so drab with horrible lighting, why the bathroom water pressure was ridiculously low, making showering a very odd experience, and most notably why the wifi, which business customers in particular would surely expect to be of high quality, was awful. Oh it was strong on the ground floor, but just one floor up there was barely any reception on any device or at any time I tried. It was good that it was free, but the poor reception was a major disappointment.

Where I would complain though was the unapologetic way in which the hotel conducted two parties during our stay, both of which were loud, and held in ground floor areas until 1am. Each night we were issued with letters under our door which said 'music will be played at these events and it is possible that noise may carry to the bedrooms within certain areas of the hotel'. Given the hotel has no sound proofing at all, that was an understatement. On the second night we made repeated complaints about the noise, but to next to no avail - the hotel clearly sees itself as a centre for conferences and parties, and no other guests have any say in that business plan. I'm shocked that a 4 star hotel would basically tell guests it *knows* are going to be affected that they can like it or lump it.

I don't believe these events are held constantly, and I don't think most people in the hotel would have been equally disturbed, but to hold loud parties until a ridiculous hour, where guests are known to be regularly disturbed is a sign that the hotel hasn't fully overcome its service problems. When we checked out I made a complaint to the front desk, who indicated guest complaints about noise are frequent. Whilst the St Pierre Park is not without its strengths - the room cleaning staff did an excellent job, the pool facilities were great, the bar was nice, as were the grounds, there remains a complacent attitude in its management which would prevent me from recommending it as a place to stay, and after this experience I would not want to return.

Booked a short break to Guernsey that included car hire with hotel and breakfast package. The directions we were given were not very clear but we eventually found the hotel. Check in was very quick and the staff on reception very friendly. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the gardens. The room was well equipped and there was tea and coffee along with biscuits. There is a Waitrose across from the hotel which was very handy and plenty of car parking at the hotel. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and again friendly staff.

From check in (with Craig, who despite being a 'trainee' was enormously friendly and helpful) through to check out, this was a pleasant stay with warm, welcoming staff and great facilities.

I was staying as I was working just around the corner so on this trip didn't leave the hotel to explore but found it had plenty to entertain me.

Had lunch, dinner, and breakfast in the pleasant surroundings of the bar and breakfast room. Breakfast deserves a special mention as the range, quality and freshness of the selection was impressive.

As for the room, spacious, lovely balcony, nespresso coffee machine, iPod dock, great ensuite. My only reservation (and the only reason this didn't get 5 stars) was the rather lumpy bed which was pretty uncomfortable. I can sleep on anything however and I was tired so this didn't cause me a problem.

All in all a very good stay.

Location is little bit outside of St Peter port, about 20 minute walk. Nice pool and gym. We mostly ate in the bar, and didn't try the restaurant. Big portion sizes in the bar. Good breakfast, lots to choose from. I had a room with a coffee machine and iPod dock, although I don't think this is a standard in all rooms.

We recently spent a few days at this hotel. The rooms were of a high corporate standard without being earth shattering, but were well appointed and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with a massive buffet selection which all seemed fresh and very tasty. Didn't suffer from slow replenishment as some other hotels we have stayed at. Staff were plentiful, very friendly and helpful. The leisure complex was well equipped and clean. The grounds are wonderful with a large lake in the garden (although the fountain played havoc with my bladder while in the gym).
We didn't use the hotels restaurant so can't comment but there is a huge choice of places to eat in town. Hire car was worth having as its a long walk to the harbour area (about 30 mins). We had a bar snack on arrival and that was very good.

OK, so our suite was lovely, with good facilities, a connecting extra room so we could keep the kids out of earshot and a fabulous terrace garden with lovely views of the gardens/lake/golf course, loads of furniture and a hot tub to die for.

The staff were very attentive and friendly and there seemed plenty of them.

The grounds are also lovely and the common areas are fine, if not a patch on the suite. It all sort of goes down hill after that thought I'm afraid.

We had a shocking lunch when we first arrived - my seafood salad seemed to have all come straight from the 'deli' counter at Tesco with very little fresh fish in sight, and Mrs D's Caesar salad had the soggiest croutons and half cooked bacon imaginable. The kiddies' jacket potatoes had most definitely seen better days. Anyway, we voted with our feet and didn't dare eat at the hotel again...

What made this trip memorable though (for all the wrong reasons) was the incredible racket we had to put up with on our first night from the wedding party downstairs. The whole place was literally vibrating to the rhythm of the bass line. Amazing. I had a right royal rant and the very gracious receptionist Sinead immediately offered us another room. However as the kids were asleep next door one of us to stay in the suite while I, the lucky one, got to move to a quieter room. The whole thing put a major dampener on our stay though as we were pretty shattered after a hard week's work, and really just wanted to go to bed when we go to the hotel. As a result we were both tired the next day and had to deal with our lively kids without enough sleep. Hardly what you pay for a suite for!

The manager did refund the cost of the first night at my request; on the suite, not on the extra room, which might have been reasonable in the circumstances, but total war was avoided.

So, if you are planning on staying here make sure you ask if there is a wedding on and if your room is above the party venue, because if it is I very much doubt if you will sleep!

We stayed for a long weekend, arriving on a Thursday evening. There was always plenty of car parking available only a few yards from the entrance. The staff, very welcoming, looked good in their uniforms, and gave us all the information we needed about the hotel and its facilities.
The room was large, with a huge bed (actually 2 smaller beds pushed together), but very comfortable. There was plenty of storage space. Tea and coffee making facilities were available. There was a balcony with a table and 2 chairs, which we could have used if the weather had been better. The bathroom appeared to be recently refurbished and was spotless. Wifi worked fine.
Breakfast was really impressive - a really large room with lots of tables and chairs, so it never seemed crowded. A huge selection of cereals and both hot and cold foods served buffet style. The staff were very attentive, bringing drinks very quickly and clearing used plates immediately.
The swimming pool and spa were available indoors - we didn't use other options such as gym, sauna, relaxation room, but they were available. Also available were massages, hairdressers. There was an a la carte restaurant with a good range of selections (15% discount if you arrived before 7pm). There was also a selection of bar meals available in the bar, which were good value.

Outside were 3 tennis courts and a crazy golf course, which wew didn't use because the weather was rainy for much of our stay. There was also a golf course.

This is a very good hotel. The food was outstanding and the facilities excellent. The grounds, lake and golf course are beautiful. The staff go out of their way to help you and everything runs smoothly. The only reason I have not graded this excellent is that the duvet was very thin and I was cold in bed. We would definitely return.

I spent two nights in the hotel. I would rate it as good rather than excellent. It is a friendly and well run hotel with prompt service and pretty reasonable prices for the area. A couple of niggles - the wi-fi was intermittent in my room of the 2nd floor, my room was very hot and I couldn't find a way of cooling it down and the tea tray was sparse. Walls are quite thin so I was treated to some midnight sneezing and coughing from my neighbour that sounded as though it was 2 feet from my head. Gave me quite a fright I can tell you to be woken by an earth shaking sneeze just after I had got to sleep.

That said the breakfast was excellent and extensive and the spar facilities good too.

Clean, comfortable and friendly. It would not take much for it to hit the excellent category across the board.

We stayed here for three nights.Reception on arrival was excellent and friendly. The room was spacious overlooking a children's playground and the all weather tennis courts. The room was spacious with a large double bed, plenty of storage and a refurbished en suite bathroom. This is a very well run hotel, breakfast service was one of the best I've seen anywhere, staff have clearly defined roles and are reallly efficient. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the cooked food was really tasty. Which is strange because the evening meals weren't.The menu was what you could call international,I think Guernsey was mentioned once on the menu. And that's an issue. You do expect locally sourced food. The menu doesn't change-there is no nightly special. We didn't eat in the main restaurant because it has absolutely no character at all.It must double as a balllrooom as it has its own glitterball. We ate in the bar twice and on the final night we discovered the Renoir cafe. This happened by accident as the bar was full as the hotel was staging a wrestling event. The Renoir is the best public room in the hotel but only seems to open intermittently. There is so much to be positive about but yet the hotel lacks indivduality-it's built for the conference and wedding business mainly so as a couple you feeel you are just a filler in to increase occupancy rates. This was summed up on our last night by a duty manager who asked if we were resident-there is no sense in which you feel that the management wants to get to know you and encourage repeat business. A Guernsey resident summed this hotel up as being tired and some parts are-the leisure pool area is not just tired, it's completely exhausted. The hotel is refurbishing and repainting-the work started in the corridor outside our room at 7.30 am! Overall I wish the hotel well in what it's trying to do to the fabric of the building,I just wish it could try a bit harder to make the indivdual guest feel more valued and make the experience more specifically Guernsey.

Spent five nights at this excellent hotel, one of the best we have ever stayed in. Great room with balcony overlooking lake, sun streaming in during afternoon, very comfy bed, all hotel spotless. Staff all extremely helpful and the admin very efficient. As we arrived a member of staff rushed out with a luggage trolley, another member insisted on helping when we left. Food was good and as we were a party of 21 we chose the the night before and each persons choice was on a card in front of us so not only could we know what we had chosed it was easy for staff to put the right dish down without having to keep shouting out. The breakfasts were magnificent so much choice. We managed a couple of swims in the pool that was at a good temperature and not overwhelmed with chlorine or chemicals, so often found in indoor pools. Thank you to management and staff for this excellent hotel, would be very happy to return and recommend to others

I stayed at st Pierre for three night.I had a very nice room with a balcony over looking the tennis courts. Very comfy bed and a great TV and DVD player. Bathroom was clean and modern. The room did get a bit warm even after turning off the radiator and there was no air con. The food was great. Lots to choose from. Great location as it was only a short bus ride into town. There were only two things that spoiled my trip. First was that my room had no Wifi. I reported this to reception straight away but the only thing they could suggest was that I came down in to the public area to pick it up. This is not very helpful when I had work to do. Second was the very noisy school group that came to stay. I spent the afternoon and 1 night feeling like I was staying in a 18-30's hotel. I know the hotel had no control over the children but may be they should have put all the students in one part of the hotel insted of spreading them out and made sure the teachers supervised them more. The noise and the lanugage as not nice.
