Had 4 nights on a DB&B basis. Everything you could want from a hotel and it's staff are catered for here. The Renoir restaurant changes its menu every night and the quality of food is superb. We had a garden view room which has a balcony so you can relax outside and the fittings and furnishings were 1st class. No "but" to add to this review. If you are going to Guernsey stay at the St Pierre Park you will not be disappointed. We rarely go back to the same hotel, not the case here.

We stayed at the hotel for one week for our family holiday. The hotel was very clean and the staff were brilliant, especially Laura, Martin and Olga on the reception desk and Rob the Concierge. The breakfast was catered for everybody. The room was well stocked with towels, toiletries and tea and coffee. The beds were big and comfy.
The only downside to the hotel; our room was at the side of the hotel over looking the main road, which was very noisy and we had to keep the patio window shut 90% of the time.
In all, we had a great stay at th St. Pierre Park Hotel and would recommend to family and friends.

spent 3 nights B & B at the St Pierre Park ... the bedrooms were big with great facilities .. breakfast was excellent a huge amount of choice to ensure you are filled up for the day .. the leisure suite is fantastic and as I was attending a wedding took full advantage of the hairdresser and beauty salon .. the hotel has amazing gardens, tennis courts and golf course
the hotel is a 25min walk from
the Port all down hill .. taxis are £7.50 .. which is very reasonable...
fantastic stay in a truely beautiful
Hotel.

Disappointing hotel not up to mainland standard suggest 3 star at best. Advertised as luxury, the hotel is dated especially the rooms. If you are looking for a special break with luxury stay clear.

Before booking this hotel we looked at other reviews of course. We found that the location was not a problem for us. It took us around 20 minutes to walk to centre of town (shops). It was paved all the way and although up & down in places not too onerous. We had the Jethou suite on the first floor above the restaurant, overlooking the lake and garden.it was not noisy so 3 good nights of sleep in a massive bed. The staff are this hotels biggest plus, they were professional, attentive and efficient well done to all of them. We ate in the restaurant all 3 nights and the food was an excellent standard, especially the desserts. The wine list starts at around 16.50. There is an excellent Chardonnay at £17.50. Sadly we did not use the pool or Gym, we simply didn't have the time. Breakfasts are also excellent, something for everyone. Taxi to and from the airport was £10.20 in and £10.60 back.
Downsides: No air conditioning, and the shower flow was not great.
Other than that a great experience!

We have stayed at the hotel twice and it is incredible!
The rooms, the staff, the location, the grounds, the facilities.. all perfect!
And the breakfast.. out of this world!
We cannot recommend this hotel enough!

I have the luxury of staying at this Hotel on a very regular basis for work. It is somewhere I really enjoy staying and exceeds my expectations. Close to 'town' (St Peter Port - 20 minute walk). Good gym and spa facilites and apparently good Golf course (not used myself).
Having stayed in many of the rooms the only disappointment was a twin room overlooking the back of the hotel, where it was a little small and the room did not appear to be recently updated. The rest of the rooms must have been refreshed in the last year or two - they are very nice indeed. In fact the beds are as large as some 5* hotels I have stayed in - queen size I think they are called, much bigger than king.
The staff are very good, service is excellent and it's really nice to sit outside the bar to eat a meal on an evening, when the sun is going down with the pond and fountain in the background.
The only compaints I have heard are regarding the air conditioning unit at the front of the hotel (someone was asking to swap rooms), but these are stopped around 11 at night, so they do not stop you from sleeping. I have not noticed what time they start again in the morning. The other thing I heard mentioned is at breakfast - that the bacon is stuck together and it is difficult to seperate off a rasher! I agree, but have to say the breakfast choice is excellent though.
Overall a very good hotel, highly recommended.

A 2 week holiday for 2 senior citizens. Our room was on the top floor with lovely views of the garden. Very quiet except when hotel and function at the weekend. We were warned in advance and although some noise, did not affect us badly. Our room was spotless every day but sometimes odd things were missing after servicing e.g. towel, tea bag Friendly attentive knowledgeable staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Bar menu a little limited for us but good food in the Cafe Renoir, use the early bird discount!Enjoyed watching a heron and cormorant on the lake who were regular visitors, also used the spa, crazy golf and walked round the trim trail. Would stay there again if we ever return.

We had a four-night stay at this (by Guernsey standards) very big hotel. This is a genuinely 4-star hotel at close to 3-star rates. I suspect recently renovated - nothing looked "tired". We paid extra for one of the larger rooms, and I think it was worth it - on top of a larger room one gets a better-placed balcony. Our balcony had a lovely view over a lake with two comfortable chairs (and an ashtray!).
The room, bathroom and balcony were spotlessly clean on arrival, and were kept that way. And the bathroom (sorry England) had quality German fittings!
I like the policy that everything is included in the rate - free (and fast) wireless internet, free DVDs, free towels for the swimming pool, etc. I wish all hotels would do the same.
The dining room is quiet and spacious, and with an impressive breakfast buffet. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but the daily menu displayed in reception was tempting, and we have no doubt it was excellent. The bar (with a large terrace outside for sunny days) is quiet and very comfortable, with a good bar menu.
The staff was simply impressive. They are everywhere, always with a smile without being intrusive, and without exception seem to enjoy being helpful. Superb!
All in all we think this is the nicest and best-managed hotel we've ever stayed in, and we've been in many.

My wife and I stayed at the St Pierre Park for the second time in 12 months in the same room as before(requested). It was just as we rememembered it The staff were excellent Reservations were brilliant organising the room we wanted( alderney Suite) arranging for a magnificient bouquet of freesias in room on arrival. All week we enjoyed the good humoured and knowledgeable chat with the reception staff ( Sinead will surely one day be a General Manager). My wife left her mobile when we departed and when we got home Irang Martin on reception, he went to the room and recovered the phone and Iris the front of house manager posted it back to us registered post on the Monday!!!
The room was excellent and Katrina the room maid was as efficient this time as last.and did a magnificient job tidying the room.etc. The shower is the best I have ever used anywhere in the world. The food in the terrace bar was excellent except on the Sunday evening when my wifes meal was inedible however when we ate again on the Friday it was all that you would expect of a 4 star hotel and was wonderful. The Renior restuarant had a limited menu which was poor for such a good hotel and we only ate in there the once because of the limited selection.. Breakfasts were incredible every day. Our stay was excellent and we recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. We will return

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and firstly have to say that the staff were excellent.

The only drawback as has been mentioned in previous reviews is the problem of noise if you have a room with a door to an adjoining room. We could hear what our neighbours ordered from room service, change their ferry time and snore! They were talking at a normal level of sound. We asked to be moved after the first night but the only rooms available were not particularly good. The staff found us a room the next day -260 - which was fine and they did all they could to accommodate our request so cannot be faulted for this. It is obviously a common complaint.

Overall most of the bedroom doors were on strong springs and this does result in a lot of door slamming throughout the hotel.

We only mention this to help the hotel improve and as a point for future guests to bear in mind.

Overall the holiday was excellent, the pool area is very good, the golf course also and i the hotelis a 25/30 minute steady walk to the harbour. The buses were very good for getting round the island. We didn't eat in the main restaurant but the bar meals were very good. We would recommend the hotel apart from the above comments.

What a great hotel. It's a good 40 minutes walk to the town centre, but there is a great bus service opposite the hotel if you can't walk the distance. We had a great stay here, The room was a good size and very clean. Food was great, especially the bar food where there is plenty of choice and a nice atmosphere. Breakfast - one of the best we have had in a hotel anywhere in the world and the staff were very plesant and helpful.

The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with excellent amenities - indoor swimming pool, sauna, stam room, jacuzzi, a small gym.

The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

The breakfast buffet was just too tempting, catering for every taste.

We ate twice in the Renoir restuarant - the food was of a very high standard and the staff there were particularly skilled and attentive in non intrusive way.

The service in the main bar was a bit 'iffy' at times which is probably the only criticism I could make.

The hotel itself is situated about a mile from the town centre, so not far to walk. Ther is plently parking space at the hotel, and a Waitrose just across the road to fill that helpful room fridge!!

Perfect for business trips. Tidy room, pleasant staff. Decent car park. A little bit far from town centre but close enough. Not bad at all

We were visiting my mother who lives on the island, and decided to try this hotel, as we have driven by on a number of visits. I have to say that we were certainly not disappointed, although the hotel was fully booked the weekend we arrived, as it was Liberation Day on the 9th. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with sockets in convenient places, one of our main complaints in many hotels!
The pool nas spa complex is second to none, and the staff are so helpful throughout the hotel.
When we surfaced for breakfast on the first morning, we were absolutely astounded at the choice, form cereals, fresh fruit, hams, cheeses, and the wonderful cooked selection.
My husband was thrilled to find he could get his favourite kippers, or smoked haddock (albeit there was a small supplement), and these were freshly cooked to order. I had poached eggs one morning, again cooked to order and absolutely perfect.
We will certainly be visiting this wonderful hotel again, and the prices are not that more expensive than some of the lower rated places.

Most travellers will be familiar with the hot and stuffy hotel room - and hopefully there will be aircon or windows to achieve the required balance. Sadly not so at the St Pierre, where the only option is to open a sliding door onto an all too accessible flat roof; built some 30 years ago, it is time this hotel reviewed its room ventilation - if it was stuffy and too hot in April, heaven help those staying in August !
There is evidence of a general lack of awareness from management as to overall standards: the view from the Fountain balcony and restaurant is despoiled by dead or dying shrubs festooned with brambles; towel robes are only available at the pool changing facilities, so would-be swimmers cannot dress/undress in one's room, but have to do so in the communal changing rooms; Dinner in the Renoir restaurant is well cooked and presented, but costly and insubstantial; bar prices are similarly inflated.
In sum, an adequate Hotel for a short break, but could do better !

The completely refurbished hotel impressed me with a nice and quite large bedroom, a very modern and spacious bathroom as well as with an excellent breakfast buffet. An indoor swimming pool - not just a "pond" - invited for real swimming. The atmosphere in the hotel and the service were nice and welcoming.

Myself, my mother and my 97yr old grandmother travelled to Guernsey for an early mothers day treat. The hotel was perfect for us. We booked a room with a lakeside view. Although you couldn't see the lake from inside the room, there was a large terrace outside our room where you could sit which looked out over the lake. Our chambermaid was excellent and promptly responded to every request and our room was always very clean. The pool and facilities such as jacuzzi, sauna and steam room were excellent, we used them daily. We also liked that there was a wet and dry changing room and a relaxation room with daily papers and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was great and there was a lot of choice- a huge fresh fruit platter, porridge to order or a traditional fried breakfast buffet and our breakfast waiter was very attentive. It is also well situated for access to St Peter's Port.

Having read several reviews commenting on the noise of the band if there is a function on I was slightly nervous when a warning letter arrived in our room. I really think that they should do something about this- I don't wish to be a kill joy but the noise was dreadful, there was no way that we could sleep until the music stopped. So be warned - don't book this hotel at the weekend unless you are invited to the party!!

don't stay in room 355, it has a connecting door with room 357, the occupant of 357, came into his room at about midnight, promptly slamming all doors, sliding wardrobe doors and dressing table drawers, on doing so the connecting door rattled loudly, he then used his phone to order a sandwich, and it was so clear that we heard that he had to make do with a cheese sandwich. He then put the television on and decided to watch sky news, he then turned over the channels until he found a film on BBC1, his sandwich was delivered and again door slammed and connecting door rattled, we asked him to turn down the television, but he did not here us it was that loud, we tried ringing his phone but he did not answer it, by this time it was 0130hrs so we called the duty manager to assist us, he told us that if he had left his curtains open we could get our remote control, stand on our balcony and use it to turn off his television, this did not work, in the end the manager used his pass key, entered the room and turned off his television with our control, the man by this time was fast asleep worse for alcohol and snoring loudly oblivious to what we had had to endure, but had it have been any other room without a connecting door then it would not have happened as all the noise was coming through there and not the walls.worse than a hollywood script.

We have been to Guernsey a number of times but this was our first visit to this hotel. When we arrived we were pleased with our choice. The hotel is in a great position just a few minutes drive out of St Peter Port. The reception area is light and welcoming. We were in room 301 which is on the first floor overlooking the lake. The room was very nice, clean, spacious with a very nice bathroom. There were patio doors with a seating area outside. There is a lovely Spa with pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. All facilities are free to hotel guests and robes and towels are provided. We both had extra charged treamtents in the Spa which were lovely. Buffet breakfast was included and has everything you could want and more! The only dissapointment was that when we entered our room on the first day there was a letter under the door saying there was a function that evening going on until 12.45 and some rooms may hear a slight noise. This didn't seem too worrying until we returned from our swim at 4.30pm on the first day. A band were obviously rehearsing for the evening and it was almost as if they were in the room with us! You could hear loud and clear every word of what they said on the microphone and the music was deafening. The "slight noise" mentioned in the hotel letter was an understatement to say the least. After an hour we complained to reception who weren't particularly helpful and said the hotel was full so they couldn't move us. We went out for dinner and didn't return until 11.30pm when the party was in full swing and in our room it was just as if we were downstairs in the function room! The noise continued until 12.45.
Thank goodness there was no function the second evening and we had a peaceful nights sleep! Don't be put off as the hotel is excellent just ensure that if there's a function on your not on the first floor above the function room if you want to sleep!

We stayed for a couple of nights on a special rate deal. It was excellent value. The room (with a balcony) overlooked the splendid grounds in which the St Pierre Park is situated. Being out of season the place was quiet, shared mostly with a variety of corporate residents. The St Pierre has all the facilities that you'd expect of a four star hotel, though we only used the small business centre, which was fine.
Our room was spacious, well appointed and very clean. A full breakfast was included in our tariff and again was very good value with attentive waiting staff. We didn't eat in the main restaurant but rather relied on the much more modestly priced light meals in the bar - these were better than expected and certainly seemed to be properly prepared, rather then re-heated stuff bought in.

The St Pierre is a large hotel and it's a way from the centre of St Peter Port itself and you wouldn't look to stroll in to the island's capital - the road's too busy to make the walk comfortable. It has no particular character - despite a rather forced French - inspired 'ancien regime' theme - and in truth is much like good hotels the world over. But having said this we found it relaxing and quiet, with attentive staff, good food and extremely comfortable rooms. We had a very pleasant couple of days at the St Pierre Park.

We have recently returned from a short 3 day break on our first trip to Guernsey, and found the hotel to be generally good although there were one or two things which could do with some attention. Our room was fine, overlooking the garden but I found it to be a little stuffy despite the time of year, very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant each night and the quality of food was first class although the menu was a little repetitive which could have been an issue on a longer stay. The staff both at breakfast and in the restaurant were attentive, perhaps overly so on occasions. The hotel has a guest satisfaction survey which asks for the name of a staff member who had given particularly good service during our stay at the hotel. In my view there was one particular staff member who was over enthusiastic in this regard, to the extent that after our last meal in the restaurant he came running down the corridor waving his name badge in our faces.
The hotel does seem to have a number of functions and as our room was situated above the function room it was extremely noisy on the Saturday night until well past midnight. When checking out I was asked if everything was ok during our stay, I said yes apart from the noise the previous night but got no response, obviously a case of selective deafness.
Would I stay here again " yes " but would avoid week-ends or take along some ear plugs!

I stayed 2 nights on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 November, and had room 356. The hotel is a short way out of St Peter Port, with a taxi costing about £6 into town and to the airport £9.

It is located on several levels and it can be a bit confusing to remember which level you are on and how many floors to go up to the bedroom. The hotel has good sports facilities including an indoor pool 25 m long which is open from 06.30. I used it once.

The room was a fair size with a double bed made of two mattresses on one base. It was very comfortable to sleep in. The curtains were VERY thick which excluded all daylight. The bathroom was modern, and a shower over the bath. Washcloths were provided and the towels changed daily despite following the instructions for re-use.

Breakfast was on the gardens level in Cafe Renoir. Spacious with good selection of juices, fruit, and some cheeses. Hot dishes all available. I thought it one of the more extensive buffets I have seen.

In town we had excellent dinners at the long established Le Nautique and the more recent Pier 17. The food was better in the former but the welcome and service better in the latter. Think £50 per head including wines in each.

Many foreign enthusiastic workers from Eastern Europe

I paid £84 per night inc breakfast on a pre-paid basis. Good value for the quality of hotel
