We stayed for four days in October and had a great time, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice for everyone I don't think anyone could complain about breakfast. Our only issue was the air on was on in the breakfast room but the staff did warn you before you sat down.
We eat in the hotel three times and the food was excellent but a bit expensive. We had room service which was very reasonable in comparison but the food was all of a high standard.
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable so we had a good nights sleep. A great thing for us was the free wi if throughout the hotel and free use of the business centre not very many hotels have this.
Overall very pleased and would stay again.

We don't normally stay in hotels like this, but we wanted a bit of luxury and also wanted a family room with a separate section for our two young children. Our room was a good size with nice separate section for our children, both sections of the room had their own tv, and the wifi worked perfectly without even having to enter a password. The room was on the ground floor over looking the playground so we could have let the children play in the playground and see them from our room, although we didnt do that.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with everything you wanted and all very well cooked. We also had a couple of meals in the bar, and they were also faultless, except for a curry that was a little lacking in 'curriness'.

Staff were very professional, but also friendly , we never felt that we a problem despite having two young and sometimes noisy children. There was also a lovely pool and jacuzzi, childrens playground, crazy golf and tennis.

Its out of town but right on a bus route into the centre.

My parents and I visited Guernsey for the first time after Jersey. I got the impression that not many North Americans probably visit the Channel Islands when there are so many other sites in Europe and the UK, but I thought this would be a nice break after my school term ended. The 20 minute walking distance away from the town gives this place such a peaceful atmosphere. Another plus: Instead of walking you can always take the bus into town, only costing 1 pound. With that being said, the sauna and pool facilities were really clean, but most times it was occupied with noisy children, which slightly hindered our enjoyment. Their stock of clean robes and towels are a nice touch after rinsing off from the pool.

On our first night here, we were too tired to venture back into town so we decided upon eating at their Renoir restaurant downstairs. Though their menu isn't very big and the prices are a little on the high side for the portions you get. I particularly enjoyed the roast lamb I had, but I concede that a much more impressive experience is held at breakfast. Their breakfasts have a phenomenal selection of hot and cold items. There is such a large and fresh selection here of everything from criossants to fruit that I thoroughly enjoyed eating here a leisurely slow pace. The staff are also very attentive and clear dishes right away. This place is second on my list next to Radisson Blu. Another plus: You can make personal orders i.e. poached egg anyone?

As for choosing this place, we were having difficulties in finding a palce that would accomodate three people in one room. We settled for here because they were able to accomodate us by situating an extra bed in a 2 person room. However, this situation lacked a lot of space and I found the room kind of on the small side. Our balcony did offer us a lovely view of the back, which consisted of a pond and walkway. I suspect that if we were to have stayed somewhere in town, it probably would not have had such a green and serene surrounding.

An excellent Wednesday to Sunday stay to cover a weekend reunion. The hotel pulled out all the stops for the reunion and our guests were not disappointed. Excellent food, good service. The hotel has plenty of parking, is within walking distance (20 mins) of the town and right opposite a new large Waitrose store and within an easy drive of some beautiful coves and also large beaches. We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite which was on a corner with 2 aspects over the grounds. The birds on the lake were wonderful. Used the spa pool (robes and towels provided) beauty treatments and hairdressing also available, although we did not use these. One evening I was unwell and my husband ordered room service, which was quick and very good. Highly recommended all round.

Booked this on a super saver deal. The room was Nice with views overlooking gardens.Plenty of different teas to choose from but only 2 sachets of coffee. Lovely Viloroy and boch bathroom. The breakfast here was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. No it IS the best. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Who are all most pleasant. I lovely indoor pool, Gym and Spa.
Its about 20 min walk to st Peter Port town centre. All down hill....And its right opposite a waitrose if you need cheap water etc.

Group of three adults, including a disabled person. Location close to St. Peter Port and on bus route is good since we didn't bring a car. Were given rooms on the lower ground floor facing the car park, due to access requirements. These rooms were near to a noisy generator, so we asked to be moved and were allocated family rooms facing the gardens, which were much better and included a balcony. We only ate one evening meal in the hotel, receiving very poor meals in the Terrace bar - fish and chips looked like it had been rescued from waste bin !! Not what we expected from a 4 star hotel. Breakfasts were only average. Thankfully, hotel is close to Crabby Jacks and excellant Waitrose store. The bar staff, however, were very attentive, especially Adrian. Excellant room service, beauty treatment good and outlook excellant, but shame about the food. Advise against booking rooms near generator, and check whether any groups staying - heard complaints about behaviour of youngsters. Will try somewhere else on out next trip to Guernsey.

We were in Guernsey for a wedding and a large group fo us were booked into this hotel. It's a typical 70's hotel which has been updated. The location in Rohais is very good and central. Bus route/taxis on the doorstep. Very wide difference in the room decorations and facilities though. Our room was very traditional, dark wood, comfortable with a modern bathroom. Our fellow traveller's had a very much updated modern room but with a fridge. We had a good view out at the back onto the park. The hotel has lovely grounds, with a lake, park etc and is very quiet. The thing I liked about this hotel was that although it is quite large, and built in the 70's it still retains a bit of grand personal service which is really nice. Good concierge service, friendly reception. Great buffet breakfast, and bar food service. It was a great stay.

I stayed one night for business purposes. The hotel is pleasant but not remarkable and business services are good but not excellent.

Having said that, I have no particular complaint and would stay there again and use it again for business purposes.

We didn't have the best of rooms, overlooking the main road but we weren't paying top dollar and it was a short break. The room was, however, well appointed and very clean and comfortable. The Renoir restaurant offers an excellent dinner in beautiful surroundings and the hotel is in an almost countryside setting with the public rooms overlooking lake and park. Staff were unobtrusive and pleasant, ready to help without getting in your face.

Would have been great except for the fact that the fans from the lesuire centre came on at around 8am and disturbed us all day long. Reception said it couldn't be turned off and as fully booked they wouldn't move us.

Asides from that, Hotel very good, and Guernsey amazing. The sea food on the island great. The only meal we had at the hotel was breakfast and that was very good.

Would consider going to hotel again if they sort the noise! Def would visit channel islands again- great place and so easy to fly to.

I stayed 6 nights here, the first on my own and than I was joined by my Boyf. He's a workaholic so the free wifi and gym facilities persuaded him to come.
On my own there for 2 days I felt very happy, staff were friendly and there was a lively atmosphere in
the bar and round the pool. It's a very easy place to chill out although some comfy sofas in a quiet corner would have helped my pile of reading.
The balcony in our room was great and most days we went to waitrose
across the road and had a picnic sat outside. One side of the hotel overlooks a car park and the other the lake and childrens play area.
The hotel isn't characterful but it is efficient, welcoming and relaxing.

The pool is excellent and the resteraunt food is good if a bit 80's chic. Service was brilliant. The bar food could be a lot better.

Thanks to everybody at the hotel, we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here Bed & Breakfast, last October for a long weekend and again August for 3 nights.
The breakfast has everything you could ever want to eat and always good quality. The table staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are clean and functional, and lovely big beds, bathroom was clean & modern, the static furniture in the bedroom is a little dated, but that is being picky!!
Fantastic grounds with its own lake, & golf course if you are wanting it. Have used the swimming pool, hot tub & sauna which are all available to guests, and an onsite spa & gym if you feel the need. The only thing lacking was some form of entertainment in the evening and maybe some sort of games room for children.

I have just returned from a well needed weekend break at St. Pierre Park in Guernsey.
This was the first time I had stayed here and had a fantastic time.

The attentiveness of the staff was second to none. From the welcome we received at reception through to the proffessionalism of the bar staff, we could not have asked for more.

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in, definitely worth a visit.

Had 4 nights on a DB&B basis. Everything you could want from a hotel and it's staff are catered for here. The Renoir restaurant changes its menu every night and the quality of food is superb. We had a garden view room which has a balcony so you can relax outside and the fittings and furnishings were 1st class. No "but" to add to this review. If you are going to Guernsey stay at the St Pierre Park you will not be disappointed. We rarely go back to the same hotel, not the case here.

We stayed at the hotel for one week for our family holiday. The hotel was very clean and the staff were brilliant, especially Laura, Martin and Olga on the reception desk and Rob the Concierge. The breakfast was catered for everybody. The room was well stocked with towels, toiletries and tea and coffee. The beds were big and comfy.
The only downside to the hotel; our room was at the side of the hotel over looking the main road, which was very noisy and we had to keep the patio window shut 90% of the time.
In all, we had a great stay at th St. Pierre Park Hotel and would recommend to family and friends.

the hotel is a 25min walk from
the Port all down hill .. taxis are £7.50 .. which is very reasonable...

Disappointing hotel not up to mainland standard suggest 3 star at best. Advertised as luxury, the hotel is dated especially the rooms. If you are looking for a special break with luxury stay clear.

Before booking this hotel we looked at other reviews of course. We found that the location was not a problem for us. It took us around 20 minutes to walk to centre of town (shops). It was paved all the way and although up & down in places not too onerous. We had the Jethou suite on the first floor above the restaurant, overlooking the lake and garden.it was not noisy so 3 good nights of sleep in a massive bed. The staff are this hotels biggest plus, they were professional, attentive and efficient well done to all of them. We ate in the restaurant all 3 nights and the food was an excellent standard, especially the desserts. The wine list starts at around 16.50. There is an excellent Chardonnay at £17.50. Sadly we did not use the pool or Gym, we simply didn't have the time. Breakfasts are also excellent, something for everyone. Taxi to and from the airport was £10.20 in and £10.60 back.
Downsides: No air conditioning, and the shower flow was not great.
Other than that a great experience!

I have the luxury of staying at this Hotel on a very regular basis for work. It is somewhere I really enjoy staying and exceeds my expectations. Close to 'town' (St Peter Port - 20 minute walk). Good gym and spa facilites and apparently good Golf course (not used myself).
Having stayed in many of the rooms the only disappointment was a twin room overlooking the back of the hotel, where it was a little small and the room did not appear to be recently updated. The rest of the rooms must have been refreshed in the last year or two - they are very nice indeed. In fact the beds are as large as some 5* hotels I have stayed in - queen size I think they are called, much bigger than king.
The staff are very good, service is excellent and it's really nice to sit outside the bar to eat a meal on an evening, when the sun is going down with the pond and fountain in the background.
The only compaints I have heard are regarding the air conditioning unit at the front of the hotel (someone was asking to swap rooms), but these are stopped around 11 at night, so they do not stop you from sleeping. I have not noticed what time they start again in the morning. The other thing I heard mentioned is at breakfast - that the bacon is stuck together and it is difficult to seperate off a rasher! I agree, but have to say the breakfast choice is excellent though.
Overall a very good hotel, highly recommended.

A 2 week holiday for 2 senior citizens. Our room was on the top floor with lovely views of the garden. Very quiet except when hotel and function at the weekend. We were warned in advance and although some noise, did not affect us badly. Our room was spotless every day but sometimes odd things were missing after servicing e.g. towel, tea bag Friendly attentive knowledgeable staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Bar menu a little limited for us but good food in the Cafe Renoir, use the early bird discount!Enjoyed watching a heron and cormorant on the lake who were regular visitors, also used the spa, crazy golf and walked round the trim trail. Would stay there again if we ever return.

We had a four-night stay at this (by Guernsey standards) very big hotel. This is a genuinely 4-star hotel at close to 3-star rates. I suspect recently renovated - nothing looked "tired". We paid extra for one of the larger rooms, and I think it was worth it - on top of a larger room one gets a better-placed balcony. Our balcony had a lovely view over a lake with two comfortable chairs (and an ashtray!).
The room, bathroom and balcony were spotlessly clean on arrival, and were kept that way. And the bathroom (sorry England) had quality German fittings!
I like the policy that everything is included in the rate - free (and fast) wireless internet, free DVDs, free towels for the swimming pool, etc. I wish all hotels would do the same.
The dining room is quiet and spacious, and with an impressive breakfast buffet. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but the daily menu displayed in reception was tempting, and we have no doubt it was excellent. The bar (with a large terrace outside for sunny days) is quiet and very comfortable, with a good bar menu.
The staff was simply impressive. They are everywhere, always with a smile without being intrusive, and without exception seem to enjoy being helpful. Superb!
All in all we think this is the nicest and best-managed hotel we've ever stayed in, and we've been in many.

My wife and I stayed at the St Pierre Park for the second time in 12 months in the same room as before(requested). It was just as we rememembered it The staff were excellent Reservations were brilliant organising the room we wanted( alderney Suite) arranging for a magnificient bouquet of freesias in room on arrival. All week we enjoyed the good humoured and knowledgeable chat with the reception staff ( Sinead will surely one day be a General Manager). My wife left her mobile when we departed and when we got home Irang Martin on reception, he went to the room and recovered the phone and Iris the front of house manager posted it back to us registered post on the Monday!!!
The room was excellent and Katrina the room maid was as efficient this time as last.and did a magnificient job tidying the room.etc. The shower is the best I have ever used anywhere in the world. The food in the terrace bar was excellent except on the Sunday evening when my wifes meal was inedible however when we ate again on the Friday it was all that you would expect of a 4 star hotel and was wonderful. The Renior restuarant had a limited menu which was poor for such a good hotel and we only ate in there the once because of the limited selection.. Breakfasts were incredible every day. Our stay was excellent and we recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. We will return

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and firstly have to say that the staff were excellent.

The only drawback as has been mentioned in previous reviews is the problem of noise if you have a room with a door to an adjoining room. We could hear what our neighbours ordered from room service, change their ferry time and snore! They were talking at a normal level of sound. We asked to be moved after the first night but the only rooms available were not particularly good. The staff found us a room the next day -260 - which was fine and they did all they could to accommodate our request so cannot be faulted for this. It is obviously a common complaint.

Overall most of the bedroom doors were on strong springs and this does result in a lot of door slamming throughout the hotel.

We only mention this to help the hotel improve and as a point for future guests to bear in mind.

Overall the holiday was excellent, the pool area is very good, the golf course also and i the hotelis a 25/30 minute steady walk to the harbour. The buses were very good for getting round the island. We didn't eat in the main restaurant but the bar meals were very good. We would recommend the hotel apart from the above comments.
