I was advised to book into this hotel whilst on a one night business trip to the island.
I arrived at around 8:30pm and check in was very quick and easy.
The room was large and very comfortable with a nice balcony. It was very useful to have all the complimentary items in the bathroom so that I could travel light with only hand luggage on the flight.
I decided to have a bar meal which was excellent as was the breakfast the following morning.
Check out again was very swiftly dealt with.
All in all a very comftable hotel which perfectly met my requirements for the evening.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip with 3 colleagues. We were there for a week and I can find very little to fault this place. If I have to pick any fault it would be that the pillows are not the best, they were quite hard. Cleanliness cannot be faulted and the waiting and bar staff were always friendly and helpful.

First time on the Island in the luxury of a Hotel after many years camping. The Hotel organised the package, including car and ferry crossing - and when bad weather disrupted our crossing and we lost our first day, Siobahn was invaluable. Once at the Hotel, we found all staff similarly attentive and friendly, the restaurant food superb and the breakfast second to none with its selection of hot and cold offers. Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, our room was fabulous with more or less a separate apartment for our daughter (who was delighted to have her own sofa and tv) and we had a polite letter under the door informing us that the Hotel was hosting evening events over the weekend. I've workied in the travel industry for 25 years and stayed all over the world, but the combination of my favourite Island and the quality of the Hotel made this weekend memorable for all the right reasons.

I went for 1 night a couple of weeks ago with my 6 month old baby. Checked in ok....got to my room and there was a note under the door saying there was a party on that night and they were sorry for any noise. The room was comfy and as it was already getting late I ordered room service, which arrived quickly and the waitress was very pleasant. Went to bed about 11...but was kept awake til after midnight by drunken renditions of "baby you're a firework" etc as the doors to the party room were wide open and people were outside being very loud. I paid £168 and was expecting better. The bed was comfy and breakfast great, but I felt cheated by the lack of sleep...I felt I should have been warned when I booked or at least at check in.

THE GOOD: Fast check-in, large well-equipped room, big modern bathroom (accommodation appears to have been refurbished since older reviews), comfortable bed.

THE BAD: Room was far too hot. Notice pushed under door from management stating that noise from a function was likely to go on until late. Paper-thin walls meant I could hear next door’s TV which was on until 2.30am! Breakfast was OK but colleagues complained about stodgy food that had been sitting on the buffet for too long and fried bread dripping with oil.

THE UGLY: Having been up since 4am to fly to Guernsey, and spent all day at meetings / presentations, I returned to the hotel at 11pm on 6 October and had to push through crowds of drunken youths smoking outside the entrance. The noise from a disco/function was unbearable – as deafening in my room as it was in the foyer. It finally stopped at 1am – but the screaming and shouting of drunken people downstairs, and in the car park/gardens, went on until well past 2am. Impossible to sleep and ruined the stay, especially as I had to be up for work at 7.30am the next morning.

Hotel has had a makeover and now looks great. Good facilities and excellent, friendly staff who can't do enough to help.

Food is excellent and the creme brulee beyond historic. Best breakfast I have had for some time

We really enjoyed our stay, We had a nice room with a hot tub, it wasnt very private though. The view from the room was very nice. The hotel is a bit dated, the breakfast room is like a big canteen, its a bit souless really. Food was good though. We also had lunch in the bar which was nice. The bar itself feels wrong somehow...... Its not very welcoming or well laid out, cant quite put my finger on it. Staff could do with training, Im stickler for eye contact & greeting, although not rude they were tad indifferent. Gym/ beauty girls were cheery & pleasant. Hairdriers in room are absolute rubbish so take your own. Tennis courts were ok, mini golf needs a re vamp ( hole number 2 robs your ball ) Guernsey was great, I preferred it to Jersey. We did lot of walking and got the ferry to Sark for dinner.

Close but no cigar

Stayed at the St Pierre Park Hotel Guernsey between 12/10/12 and 14/10/12 (2 nights)

Summary

A nice hotel with friendly staff, good bar food and good facilities

Positives
Good facilities
Great choice for breakfast
Friendly staff
Great fish and chips in the bar
Clean room

Negatives
Unable to open the door to the balcony due to Noisy air conditioning
Restrictive check out time
Small choice of food in the main restaurant

Reached the hotel at about 19:45 on a Friday night, check in was easy and the receptionist was friendly and informative about the hotel (a Dutch girl who is going home soon she said). The hotel was busy as there was a function in the bar. we were told by the receptionist that they would be finished by 20:00. Our room was on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel looking over the car park. There was a patio door leading to a small balcony. The room was clean and a reasonable size for two people. There was a kettle with coffee and tea, also in a draw was a hair dryer. The bed was two singles pushed together which is not everybody's cup of tea. The bathroom was also clean and well stocked with soap and shampoo.
We went to the bar at just after 20:00 and as promised it had cleared of the function guests and was nice and quite. We ordered fish and chip from the bar menu which we both agreed was delicious. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Friday night we had a good nights sleep.

Breakfast on Saturday was great, a large choice of hot food, fruits and cereal, the breakfast staff were again friendly and efficient. Later in the day we used the swimming pool and jacuzzi, the pool is 25m and 2.3 m deep at one end. Didn't get a chance to use the relaxation facilities, an all over massage would have been £45, they offer lots of other beauty and relaxation therapies.
Everything was looking good and the 4 star hotel tag was living up to its promise, however, on our second night we a had a couple of issues, we eat in the bar again as the previous nights food had been good. My wife had the curry of the day and my son had carbonara, both meals were poor and they said tasteless. I had the fish pie and thought it was really good. When the waiter came to clear the plates he asked if the meal was OK, my wife told him about the food and he said he'd get the manager. To his credit the manager was very quick to apologise and removed the meal charge from our bill, this was outstanding customer service in my view. Unfortunately the second night sleep was not a good one, it was warm and we needed to open the balcony door, this meant we had to put up with the air conditioning compressors which were located on the ground floor switching on every so often.
Breakfast again was superb. As we were not flying until the afternoon we asked reception if we could check out a bit later, they came back with a yes but it would cost £25, I can't understand were their cost is in a late check out to justify this charge. The reason they gave at reception was that the room was needed for a guest who was checking in that day and had requested our room. This just didn't make sense as they would not have tried to charge us if it was needed. I didn't argue as I didn't feel it would help and we had packed by that time. The receptionist did say we were welcome to store our bags and use the facilities for the rest of the day.

Summary
A nice hotel with generally good customer service, the bar staff were excellent as was the fish and chips, facilities are good, however, rooms on the front of the hotel are subject to noise from the car park and the air con (which does not supply the rooms). Not being flexible on check out also spoilt what would have been very good marks. I would recommend this hotel but would advise you to get a room at the back of the hotel.

I stayed here for a few days whilst on business in Guernsey. I had a query before arrival which was replied to instantly and this set a good tone.

Check-in was quick and efficient, but when I received a big old fashioned room key instead of the usual keycards I was a bit surprised and when I got to the room, the old fashioned theme continued. The decor and feel was very dated, maybe early 90s, but the amenities were pretty decent with a small flat screen TV, Pod coffee machine, modern bathroom etc. The walls are thin so I could hear voices and the TV coming from a neighbouring room during the night.

The room did have a balcony but apart from the fact it rained the whole time I was there, the balconies are quite cramped and all in a line so you are right next to your neighbours.

Breakfast was buffet style and very good. A wide selection of hot and cold items, a few more interesting items than the usual bog standard affairs in the faceless chain hotels, with black pudding, a choice of eggs and sausages etc.

I didn't try the restaurant in the evening but did eat in the bar. The service was friendly and the food was good. The bar menu was reasonably priced and the selection of items was good.

The hotel is a bit isolated, there is not a lot nearby except houses, no decent pubs or restaurants in easy walking distance (especially when the rain was so bad!). There is a bus stop just down the road and it appears to be on a few different routes so buses are pretty regular. The hotel must be on the main road to the main town as the traffic was appalling in the morning.

The room rate was very reasonable and included breakfast, so overall very good value.

This hotel is a five minute drive from St Peter's Port in Guernsey. And on the bus route to almost everywhere. Guernsey is not a very big island so it's fairly easy to get around in any case.
The room we had was not very big...but was nice. The downside---the walls are very thin so you can hear the television, bathroom and conversation in the other rooms. The upside...the service at the restaurant and bar was excellent, and the room had a lovely balcony that overlooked the lush gardens of the property, a gurgling brook and a famous Guernsey cow!
I loved the bar, it had a great outdoor seating that overlooked a lake sort of water body, and the waiters were exceptionally attentive.
There is an indoor swimming pool which was at the perfect temperature...the steam room was not very clean so skipped that.

We stay here for 4 days on our recent 3rd trip to Guernsey.

Its was our first stay at this hotel and very enjoyable. We had a garden facing room which was very nice, however the balcony was only just large enough for 1 chair, so not really a balcony, just ap place for one to sit.

The room had recenly been refurbished, so was clean and tidy, but the dark wood and accoustic ceiling tiles should have been replaced at the same time.

We had the breakfast option included, and like all the food was excellant, but i am not sure if it was worth buying it seperately. 5 mins walk away is a large Waitrose with a very nice Cafe.

Service impecable, could not fault it, they went the extra mile for us on a number of things. I was impressed.

This hotel is not in the centre of town or harbourside, but 15 minutes walk will get you there, the hotel staff were really helpful with the short cuts and places to visit.

Overall a very nice stay, nice hotel, excellant staff, make sure you get a good package because it can be expensive. The photos are a fair representation of this hotel.

Visited Guernsey on several occasions staying at different hotels on the island, however St Pierre Park is our preferred choice. It has a large car park which is important for visitors with rented cars.
The hotel has an fine appearance that is combined with welcoming staff on reception. Check-in was friendly and efficient and our luggage taken to the room.
Bedrooms are spacious with the expected amenities.
Dinner menus had a good and varied choice of dishes, however the main courses, although well presented, were a little dry and would benefit from a sauce accompanyment.
Sleep quality was good. A garden view room is recommended.
Breakfast menu selection was excellent and a meal to appreciate.
Guernsey has much to offer, however we found these sites really worth a visit; Castle Cornet. Sausmarez Manor and Victor Hugo's House.
Car parking in St Peter Port is free, however a Parking Disk to set the time of arrival is essential. Par

This is my 3rd stay here with work, each time I've stayed its been the same experience.

Most room have a balcony/terrace with nice chairs and a table which is lovely in the warm days, they also have a big terrace by the bar.

The rooms are clean, spacious and modern and the bathrooms look new, very fresh and clean with elemis products

I have not eaten in the restaurant and only had room service, the food is a bit nothingey but does the job

Room service is very prompt and friendly and if you ever need anything reception bring it up straight away
A short taxi ride in St Peter Port

This hotel is more or less in the middle of the island of Guernsey, just a few miles north of St Peter Port. It's a 4* hotel because it has a pool, gym and spa, otherwise it would just be a very good 3* hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast is truly excellent and will be the best meal of the day. The restaurant only has a table d'hote menu, so do not expect a la carte. But it's not bad at all, although perhaps a tad overpriced. The bar is fairly large and the bar snacks are OK but not really good and a bit overpriced. To get anywhere, you will need either your car, a taxi or a bus. There is a Waitrose almost opposite, which is helpful if you want a sandwich but don't want to pay about £8 in the hotel. Plenty of free parking and also apparently quite popular with locals. It's a nice hotel, but a bit dull and struggles to be worth 4 stars.

I stayed over a weekend at St Pierre Park when on business in Guernsey and felt completely spoilt. The bedroom was lovely, spotlessly clean with a balcony overlooking the tennis courts & play area. I was impressed by the espresso maker for coffee lovers (even though I don't do coffee myself) & the selection of Elemis bathroom goodies was fab! The grounds are lovely, with a golf course attached for those who like a round. The swimming pool and spa area are really nice, although the steam room wasn't very steamy but the sauna was plenty hot enough. The food was lovely, I had room service in the evening being on my own & it was better than a lot of restaurants I've been in! I can thoroughly recommend the crispy duck rolls - absolutely scrummy. Breakfast was an amazing choice, and all in all even though it was a working trip it felt like a mini holiday. Great place - I'd love to go back.

We held our mid-size wedding reception here in August 2012 and had a fantastic experience!

I had many family and friends staying in the hotel, all of whom reported back a positive experience. We received exceptionally courteous, friendly and helpful service from all the staff from cleaners to receptionists to managers. We stayed when it was particularly warm, and the hotel staff were so quick to offer extra fans if we were too hot in the rooms. Any queries or requests were immediately provided.

I stayed in a deluxe suite (bedroom, lounge room, kitchenette, bathroom and guest bathroom). This was very reasonably priced given the accomodation. Cleanliness and service was impeccable and lovely complimentary toiletries.

Breakfast included on the room price was amazing - definitely the best breakfast we have had in a hotel and we have had a few! The bar food is excellent too with a lovely terrace for enjoying the good weather. Our wedding reception food was fantastic - served exceptionally proficiently with the logistics of a big party. If you do hold a reception here, the menu choice isn't very big, but when asked, the hotel added extra dishes to ours with no problems at all.

From a bride's perspective - the whole wedding experience was unquestionably perfect. Julia the events manager was fantastic. Super organised and always helpful. The personal service given up to and particularly on the day was flawless and made the day even better. That we had someone so efficient yet unobtrusive ensuring everything ran smoothly without having to worry about anything at all was just such a relief and really let us enjoy the day. We had many specific requests and almost constant changing of plans up to the day itself and the team were unfailingly accommodating and managed to provide everything we asked for. The big difference was the smiling, helpful and gracious staff all around.

The wedding party used the spa for hair and make up, and although small changes in staff occurred in the run up to the day, the hotel acted very quickly to ensure that we were still happy and to organise retrials to ensure that we were completely happy for the day. And on the day - the girls were great! The morning was timed perfectly for the big event, and we looked fabulous.

Only comments I would advise you think about before booking a room - if you are particular about your bed comfort, I would ask to try the bed before choosing a room if you can!

Overall - one of the very best hotel experiences that I have personally had! I would HIGHLY recommend to any one thinking of holding a wedding reception on Guernsey - particularly if it is a big party. The hotel is incredibly accommodating, and better than first class service for organisation of events. The grounds and facilities for the guests are also first rate and fantastic for visitors from off the island.

I have been vistiing this hotel since it was built many years ago- I used to live in Guernsey and we used to hold seminars with my company there. Its really good location for St Peter Port and the staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. The Spa is wonderful and the beauty treatments are total bliss.
We stayed there last year whilst on holiday and nothing has changed- the food and room was excellent and it has not lost his attention to detail. Totally recommend.

The hotel is perfectly situated and only a short drive away from the capital of St Peter Port. It has wonderful facilites including complementary wi-fi in al rooms. In addition the staff were very polite and friendly and the food was excellent including the buffet breakfast. The only very small criticism was the 3 course set menu in the main restaurant. It would have been better to be a la carte with more selections as not everyone wants 3 courses on the evening. The menu in the bar however was excellent.

Just returned from a 5 night visit at this wonderful hotel. This was my first trip to Guernsey and I definitely pick the right hotel to stay at. Everything was absolutely first class from the moment I arrived.

The main thing that stands out is the first class customer service provided by all the staff that we encountered. We dined in the Terrace Bar every evening and found the food to be very good, with an extensive selection. The reception team were extremely helpful offering advice on the best tourist attractions to visit along with which bus to catch. The weather was a bit hit and miss, during our stay, which was disappointing, although you cant have everything.

We have had a fantastic holiday and will definitely return.

Just spent another wonderful 4 days at this hotel. Sometimes when you find a great place to stay it can be disappointing when you go back but not here, it was better than I remembered. The staff are great, friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms are comfortable and clean, we booked a room with a view of the gardens hoping to sit on the balcony and relax but sadly the weather didn't give us much chance for this. We really enjoy the breakfast buffet, the selection is great and it's always fresh. One niggle was the noise from a function being held downstairs but we spoke to reception who were really helpful and gave us a quieter room for the night. Couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely stay again

I had a lovely time staying with my parents at the St Pierre park hotel. Lovely welcome to the hotel great bedrooms clean tidy etc and spa swimming pool was fantastice. Hotel reception is good however one girl on the spa reception did not smile and found her a bit grumpy. Shame when the rest of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Let the team down i thought.

Overall a happy few days was had by all and it was great to spend a few nights with my parents. Cheers
