My family of four adults and a one year old spent about four hours here. The weather was perfect. There are plenty of play areas for children from toddler to 10 yrs plus many picnic areas (we took a picnic). We went round the animal enclosures and found a fair amount empty and I don't mean those that open out into bigger enclosures. There weren't that many bigger animals either. We saw a magnificent white tiger, two zebras, four emus, two tapirs, a lion, alpacas, camels and couldn't spot the cheetah(s). I entitled this review 'bemused' because the price for an adult at £19.80 is just too high and then you are expected to pay for little extras once you're inside such as £1 for a 3-minute train ride, £3 for crazy golf etc. We were going to have an ice cream but that would have amounted to £10-£12, another expense. I got vouchers throughTesco Clubcard towards the £79.20 bill. If I had paid full price, I would not have felt my money was well spent. I would have gone for three and a half stars if there was such a thing .....

I really do not understand how people run this place down, can only assume they have never been.
Visited yesterday with family members. We all love it here as it is easy to get around, plenty of picnic areas, toilets and seating. Lots for the little one to do free of charge. The play areas are fantastic.
Animals all seem very happy and the money being put into the place is evident with all the new building that has been completed and is still under construction.
Car parks are clearly signed and if you don't know what bay markings and signs mean then that is your own fault and not the problem of the park staff.
Don't worry Paradise Wildlife Park anyone who has been knows what a great little place it is.
Finally we to had a voucher and the staff were very polite and courteous. I suggest the moaners go elsewhere and leave this lovely place for civilised people to enjoy.

Amazing place. I have been there on many occasions with my family and friends. I have visited when Daly Thompson was there with his children and their nanny. I witnessed the tiger cubs being walked outside of their pen and they played on the slides in the park. It was amazing but I didn't have my damn camera with me! I have also experienced the evening visit for £10 where we got to see the keepers feeding and petting the tigers and could photograph up close all of the animals. There was an artist's work on display and a great talk by the keepers and owners. Truly amazing place.

Visited the zoo today, first time for many years, we had a really good day, the keepers are so passionate about the animals, the park was very clean, food was very reasonable priced, plenty of picnic places to eat, my only bad comment would be, they are still charging full entry price, but we found a lot of the outlets were shut, which I feel is wrong when you are still having to pay full price, other than this I would definitely recommend this zoo, a really great day out.

What an incredible day had by all. I have a 20 month old and a 2 year old who both thoroughly enjoyed their day at Paradise Wildlife Park. A day full of activities which could have continued to a second. Fantastic staff, activities for all ages and very cost effective for the overall experience. Could not recommend enough!!

I came down for an experience day that k was given as a Xmas present to spend a day hands on with the tigers.

I must admit I was nervous and apprehensive when I went however I need not have been.

We were met by friendly staff In the meeting block while we waited for our keep Aaron. When Aaron arrived he was very friendly and his passion for the big cats was very clear. He explained the day and made me feel at ease. We had a fab day with the cats and learnt so much about the animals. I couldn't fault anything about the.

Feeding the big cats was a dream for me and it met my expectations

After my experience we spent the rest of the day wandering around at our leisure.

I highly recommend the park and the experiences

we visited paradise wildlife park at the end of august sadly on the wettest day of the holidays.. however we were very pleased with the selection of animals that were there and able to see..we spent the whole day having fun , all the animals looked in great condition and well cared for... my son who is 13 thought it was better here than at port lympe which we had visited in the hot dry weather yet saw hardly any animals at all..
paradise park even has a little water park part which we did not visit this time but hope to do so on our next visit..
staff were very helpful and we had a laugh with a few of them especially in the gift shop as we left..
would highly recommend for young and old alike..

My colleagues and I took 9 wheelchair users, all elderly, to the park on a Tuesday for the day, and we were welcomed warmly, and whenever we asked a question during our walk all of the staff we encountered were more than helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

We visited this park on Thursday as 3 adults. Both my daughter's are students but it seems there is no student discount so it cost us almost £60 in all to get in. It was fairly empty and we knew from the website that the bat house was closed due to renovation, so we went to the wildlife area to see the other animals. They were all well kept and the glass panels which enabled good photographs were very clean in most of the enclosures. We ate in the little cafe overlooking the tigers which was ok if a bit slow due to there being only one staff member.

We decided to visit the wolves in the woodland walk at the end of our visit and this is where things took a bad turn. On walking to the area we found a large sign informing us that the walk was closed. Basically the walk seems to be a large part of the zoo. This was not mentioned to us on paying full price for the tickets and we were all shocked that this was not open to us and there was no discount taking this into consideration.

Would we go again? Probably not as having to pay a hefty price for entrance, no student discount and half the park being closed did not leave us with a great impression. Instead we shall visit the Cotswolds Wildlife Park which is consistently amazing value.

This Zoo is so much better than some of the larger ones like London zoo. It's smaller and more personable with great activities to do. The staff are really friendly and they do amazing talks. Perfect for a day out as a couple, or with kids or as a family!

Visited with Harlow Stroke Support Group. Paradise Wildlife Park is disabled friendly with lots of wide flat pathways and ramps leading up to viewing platforms. The park is excellent for younger children as has lots and lots of play areas. Food in the cafe wasn't brilliant but you can bring your own for a picnic. All the animals appeared content and well cared for. Don't miss the animal shows and the talks which are aimed at all ages.

I went down to PWP Yesterday with my partner, and we had an amazing time.

The weather wasn't in our favour, however the park was near on empty with plenty of opportunity to see all the animals in their exhibits and they were all very active (which took me by surprise considering I saw a review on here saying about the enclosure sizes) and this was a very good photo opportunity.
All of the staff were smiling and saying hi, answering any questions we had and the shows we saw (animal antics and birds of paradise) were a credit to how hard the zookeepers work to build relationships with the animals they care for.

The one thing I want to highlight which made my day complete was the Meerkat Feeding Experience. Online to book in advance is £99 plus £49 for every additional participant, HOWEVER on the day it was available and knocked down to £49 and I pretty much jumped my way to the enclosure once booked - well done for effective marketing guys, top work!Shona was so informative about the meerkats, giving me loads of information about how they live, their behaviours and fun facts. I was luckily the only person booked in so I got all the meerkats to myself and it was one of my dreams to do.

I always leave room for improvement and if there is anything I would highlight it would be the food. It was apparent that the chicken had been under a lamp for a while and for £7.10 per meal I'd have expected freshly cooked chicken goujons. However the chips were pretty good and we didn't mind as we were out of the rain.

ZSH - overall, well done. I honestly had a fantastic day and its conservation efforts astound me. Please pass my thanks onto Shona for a wonderful meerkat experience!

Myself my daughter and a friend of ours all visited paradise wildlife park about a week ago now...the weather was gorgeous...the 2 hour journey went without any problems...we went mainly to see the white lions and white tigers...and we weren't disappointed...they are such beautiful creatures...off course we saw the other animals too..I specially liked the wood trail..where you saw the wolves..the reindeer...and the owls..it was a fun day...if you have children there were a lot of activities for kids...they also had mini golf...which we played and I won..we were there all day....we arrived at 9.40 and left at 6.00...they had food places..but we didn't use them as we took our own...the gift shop was lovely...and all the staff who work there are really nice and very knowledge about the animals...My daughter was quite happy as we had entered a competition for guess the tigers name and she won...so off we go with this big soft toy (tiger) in the car..we would definitely go again and definitely recommend....with or without kids....

My partner & I visited for the 1st time (Sat-2nd/09/17). It clearly has children in mind as lots to do for them (we don't have any), friendly staff, lots to do & see, cost a bit too much at just under £20 each. Regardless of the cost I would visit again.

We would not have visited it if it was not a wildlife conservationist establishment, which needs to run a business for funding.

It is true that the enclosures should ideally be much bigger (like Monkey World in Dorset) but we can see a lot of challenges to achieve it for this place was originally a notorious zoo before the current owner took it. Hopefully the business goes well and helps the company to do so.

Despite such a difficulty, the park is highly enjoyable. The elevated walkways are a very good idea. The tiger cafe gave us a really good view of all 3 tigers while having a coffee break (It would have been even nicer if the place was cleaned a little more frequently. Little customers could make such a mess under tables!). We saw a tiger being fed, a corsac fox given a box (he had to work it out to get the food out from it). We took time to wait and see animals do something and it was worth it.

10% discount when booked online. Show it at the ticket office and they give you the ticket. The parking is free. Although the food in the venue is not hugely overpriced, it may be an idea to bring your own and have it on a table in the open picnic area when the weather is nice. Do take a bottle of water with you as it costs £2.20 from the vending machine.

We went to this and had a lovely day the big cats were beautiful and very big! The Anaconda was amazing to see and the shear size astounding. Lots of tables to sit and have lunch we had ours next to the tigers with just the glass in between. The play area were very well kept and spacious my daughter enjoyed the splash area at the end of the day to cool down.

We went as a couple over the August Bank Holiday. It's very easy to find and has brown signs to guide you the last few miles. The tickets were prebooked which meant we didn't have to wait too long to get into the park. Our main focus was seeing the bigs cats and we weren't disappointed, the number of cats compared to larger zoos is astonishing. Considering how hot it was the cats were relatively active, the highlight was the Cheetah eating it's lunch. We also took in the other animals as well, Penguins, Meerkats, Camels etc. They also have lots of activities for children, which is ideal for families. The ticket price was good value for money.

We went on the bank holiday weekend, it was a warm day luckily we got there early and the queues were short within 20 mins they became very long. The park seems very popular and is easy to navigate. The bird area was a little disappointing as many of the aviaries were overgrown and you couldn't see anything, the bird area almost seemed neglected and the foot fall was low in my opinion to this side of the park. But coming back to the wildlife side was so busy a complete change. Most areas are accessible for the disabled, facilities such as toilets and washrooms seemed limited. There is much to see and appreciate from the reptile rooms to the lions and tigers. There are food outlets and the usual ice cream and drink areas. It is very well signposted from junction 25 off the M25, there is ample car parking and areas for those that have mobility issues. We had an enjoyable day, perhaps to visit again on not a busy day in the future.

Perfect size for toddlers to get around easily. The raised platforms for viewing the big cats from above are a great idea too. We took a picnic and found a bench in the shade next to the leopards. Little train in the woody bit was a big hit (and driver did us a two for one offer for the twins) and the play area is great. Thoroughly enjoyable day out. Made even better with reduced price tickets from the picniq website

I will start by saying that I do not like animals in cages, or small enclosures. But if they are well cared for and fit and healthy, not suffering from undue stress, then I can accept that. I firmly believe that you can't make a cake without breaking a few eggs. The public need to be able to see these wonderful animals close up, to appreciate what they are. Far too many species have become extinct over the years, with many more on the endangered list. If it wasn't for zoos and wildlife parks with their breeding programs, many more animals would be extinct by now. So if a few animals in zoos don't have the best life, but their existence ensures that the species in the wild survives, then that surely is good. Some of the enclosures and cages at Paradise Wildlife Park are indeed on the small size, but you can see the animals. Some zoos, such as Colchester zoo, have much, much larger cages and enclosures, but often the exhibits are hidden, or indeed hiding from the viewing public. We had a very enjoyable day at Paradise Wildlife Park and the best part had to be feeding the Amur Tigers with chicken wings, a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life and I will recommend to anybody.

My wife and I booked "shadow a big cat keeper " experience and it was by far a lot better than expected.
We was greeted by our keeper Hannah when we first arrived.
She took us through the day by day of being a big cat keeper and informed us of what we would be doing during the experience.
We met all the big cats and even got to clean the enclosure' s, prepare their food and then to feed them! The whole experience was out of this world and literally breath taking. Hannah was amazing throughout, so much knowledge and was able to answer any questions that we had. We couldn't fault one thing about paradise wildlife park, there is plenty for children to do and see, and lots of different places to eat. We are looking forward to returning with family and have another great day out. Thanks to everyone at paradise and especially to our keeper Hannah. Keep up the great work.
