Has a large play area for the kids to play in. The zoo has great viewing platforms that allow you to take photos without any obstructions.
I would recommend this zoo for families but the food is expensive and poor.

Absolutely one of the best experiences of my life. I fed Bakai the White Tiger and Aleena by hand. The park is well kept and the animals are loved and cared for by a wonderful group of keepers.

I visited the park last week with family. We bought our Dad the feeding of the white lions experience for his recent birthday which we came to see him do. It was such an amazing experience one of which my dad will remember forever.

The park is extremely clean and tidy and all staff members that we came across were very friendly and helpful. Steve was with us whilst my dad fed the lions. He was very informative, friendly and polite and we had a laugh with him.

A great day out, would highly recommend and would visit again.

Large car park with, unusally, policed disabled spaces wheelchair access is not good throughout the park as some of the paths are very narrow and some of the doors have pronounced lips which snag wheelchair wheels. Some paths are also uneven with things like tree roots to trip the unwary. There is a good selection of animals generally with good viewing there are planned events throughout the day including bird shows.

Entrance Is expensive but there are voucher offers in local papers.

There are various kiosks around serving refreshments for more substantial fare there are two cafes these are relatively expensive without being anything special. There are a large number of children's play areas and activities making this an ideal day out for young families however because of the narrowness of the paths and lush foliage parents especially should keep a close watch on there children to avoid painful collisions with wheeled vehicles especially powered wheelchairs we saw a number of potentially nasty accidents involving unguarded children running into the path of wheeled vehicles.

We came for a day out in the summer hols with our 2 and 6yr old girls. It is expensive to get in but we used a 'bogof' in the local paper which brought the cost down. The highlight for me is always the big cats which are beautiful. There aren't any of the large animals but then this is a wildlife park not a zoo. The pets corner is nice and there are other attractions / amusements for the kids. We always take a picnic because the food choices aren't great and are expensive.

Paradise Wildlife Park is one of the best zoos in the country. A lot of care and attention goes into the park and the enclosures look interesting and enriching for the animals. Every time I visit there is something new or improved. There's lots of shows and talks and they offer a lot of animal experiences too which help contribute to the parks success. Great fun for kids with a big adventure playground, life size fire trucks to climb into, swimming pool, woodland train and panning for gold just to name a few. If it's not very nice weather there's not too much walking around to do and plenty of under cover areas to keep everyone happy.

Absolutely brilliant place to go, my partner and I went a couple of weeks back just after the schools went back for the new term, I'd like to add we are in our 40's and loved it there. Close to all the animals, good kiddy area if you have kids, so much to see and do, lots of animals and most of the cages do have animals in unlike other Zoos I have been to recently. The tree tops walk by the big cats is a must, I love that feature. My second visit and will return soon. Brilliant day out.

We visited on Sunday it wasn't too busy easily found a parking space an didn't have to queue for long to get in. It has been about 5 years since my last visit and they have really improved it. It is so much bigger and a lot more for children to do. There is a massive play area and bouncy castle as you enter. You then go across to the other side to see the animals. It was a shame to see the snow leopards looking stressed and pacing but the other animals seemed happy and all had clean enclosures. I was a little disappointed to see quite a few things were extra. I think the train should be included in the price of the tickets. Luckily we had Tesco vouchers but for 2 adults and a child it would have been just under £60 and then to have extras on top makes for an expensive day out! We spent about 4 hours here which I think was long enough.

We arrived in the morning of the first day, and it was pouring down! Nevertheless, staff were all friendly and helpful (a major plus-point of this attraction), and we were able to see and do a lot...actually, it was more comfortable than the usual crowded holiday-period. We were checked into our Tiger appartment in the early afternoon. Very clean, well-appointed and comfortable, with lists of helpful stuff, including suggested restaurants for an evening meal (not available on-site). One double sofa-bed in the lounge, and one double in the bedroom, nice bathroom and shower, tea and coffee-making facilities, biscuits and a fridge. Driving out and returning after opening hours was easy, with a clicker for the private electric gate, though we could have done with more info about getting back to that gate (it's in Pembridge Lane, we discovered). The woodland walk was open for us to wander in at night, which was good fun, apart from the fact that wolves and foxes insisted on sleeping, rather than entertaining us with howling! But the deer were very friendly. The next morning, we ate breakfast next to the Tiger enclosure, and were treated to lots of very close big cat sightings, then did a tour with a guide, who ended up introducing us to some smaller animals, like snakes and lizards, which we could handle. Then the park opened to the public, and the sun and crowds poured in. We could have stayed the whole of the second day, if we'd wanted to. A good experience, not on a par with overnighting at Whipsnade (the wolves DID howl at night there! And there was a very good on-site restaurant), and the breakfast was frankly quite poor, but the staff are exemplary..they share their knowledge very willingly, and are all friendly and approachable

Obtain some discount by using our Tesco club card vouchers and it makes the day a better deal. Car parking is easy as attendants advise you where to park, Once inside there are plenty of routes to follow and the animals are really up close and personal . Main criticism you have to pay for some of the attractions eg go -carts , and the admission is quite pricey anyway. I believe they still run a shuttle bus from Broxbourne station so visitors from afar can telephone and have a mini bus collect them .Great day out and will return

What a great day, 14 of us 3 genarations, lots to see, loads for the kids, and if its not free its very cheap. great picnic areas, even a paddling pool, a train ride round the park, it goes on and on.
Ending the day with crazy golf. 18 holes and only £2.00. We will be back. Well done to all your team.

I visited the park with my girlfriend using a Virgin Experience day voucher to meet the Red Pandas and had a very memorable time.

We arrived early and had to use a taxi to get to the park, as the shuttle buses run every 15 minutes, and we were running a little late. The staff and keeper were friendly and accommodated us even though we were behind schedule and gave us the information talk en route to the pen.

We were able to feed the pandas, who knew their own individual bowls, and get up close to them. You're not allowed to pet or stroke them, which is fair enough, but they're very gentle and even grabbed apple slices from passing some to them. The keeper was happy to answer our questions and give background information on the pandas and also help take pictures during.

After our experience we were able to explore the park freely and were very impressed by the collection of animals. It was great that the park had planned feeding shows with keepers to watch for free and there always seemed to be something going on, including stage shows for children near the cafe area.

I didn't notice much about the child facilities myself but it was very popular for families and I'm sure they were well equipped in terms of access and activities. There were also great play areas, such as bouncy castles, remote controlled car racing, fair-ground style games etc.

I'd definitely come back and recommend the park and feeding experiences to anyone interested. It'd be a good idea to get there early so you can see all the animals but I'd imagine children get tired quicker so plan for that too!

Hi, Took the kids here today my girls are 10 & 8! I found a printable voucher that gives u 20% off for up to 6 tickets at the Gate (From Smartsave) so £56 for 4! From the M25 the Park is sign posted VERY WELL they are every set of lights & every roundabout u come across..

So anyway, Looked around the Speedway Museum after having to ASK for it to be opened then We went straight to the Animals and enjoyed looking at the Lions & monkeys and walking up the ramps to see into the Enclosures watched the Birds of Prey show etc. We came across the "Amusements section" which neither of my 2 could use as too big.. Then the Play Areas's... Again mine were too big!! Now i can understand that my 10yr old is very tall & wont fit but my 8 year old is really short & wears 6/7 trousers yet she was STILL too big.. Imagine the upset when she couldn't use any of the *free rides* the tractors, karts etc all say kids must be 6 or under. By this time I'm wondering if the £56 was worth paying to get in.. i appreciate they have expenses & stuff but for me with 2 older kids we were left disappointed.

we hung around the Safari stage as 2pm show was advertised just to be told at 2 it was going to be 3, so we stayed there & got food! chips, 4 dippers & caprisun was £4.95 each. the map advertising this "show" said dances, games, meet the characters .... WELL!!!!! after 2 songs they finished... no games, characters at all *KIDS BORED BY NOW* so we left after 3hrs.

This would be a GREAT day out for families with YOUNGER (under 6's) kids & good value for money but for us on this occasion it was a waste!

My son in law was booked on a half day photography course so we decided to go with him and have a look around. We enjoyed it very much indeed. The animals looked very relaxed and well cared for. We liked the way that there were lots of refreshment areas, toilets etc. We loved it and will certainly go again. Especially good for little ones, plenty to see and play on . Especially liked the raised viewing areas. Good day had by all.

I visited paradise about 18 months ago with my 2 grandchildren and was underwhelmed with it as a zoo , however 18 months later and some tweaks around the place it has improved very much. OK the signage could be better some of the viewing is not compatible for toddlers of a certain height but there are enough 'tree top' views of some of the animals to please the little ones. The toilet facilities are clean and plentiful and eating places are adequate and offer variety.
The playground area is big enough to cope with large numbers and the woodland walk is a massive improvement on the muddy uninspiring trail of 18 months ago and the addition of the hide is a plus for the budding nature watch presenters.

Went to the park.with a disabled lad. Alas all the walkways are not smoother quite a few potholes. Animals were ok but many of the animals can't be seen from a wheelchair. Looking boothes could be built into area. Where wheelchair or small children can view animals like what they built at the meerkats area.Food there was not much of a choice in restaurant and very overpriced. It is good if you can plan what you want to see and get there in time to see it but as so many things are on at the same time you would have to have more than one visit to see all displays.luckily there are tables where you can take a packked lunch and eat.

I was given a voucher as a present for tea with tigers, when i eventually called to book it i was given a couple of dates but i advised due to distance I couldn't make the dates, the attitude was take it or leave it. I called back again and the second person couldn't be nicer, what a contrast, booked in for a suitable date but experience changed to Monkey experience instead of tigers due to the date i had chosen but this was fine and i was just so glad i could use my gift.
On the day arrived at about 11am, easily parked. It is a fair walk though to get to the zoo as you have to walk round the ramps and then through the children's section and across the road to finally get to the start.
The park is clearly marked out, although not the biggest of zoos it is still a nice one to walk around with a nice mix of animals. Some animals look sad but thats the case in most places where they are in captivity but i do understand why its done although sometimes seems cruel there not free, but important to preserve the animals we have left.
The experience for the monkeys was a little underwhelming. We waited in a room in the educational centre with planet earth playing on a dvd/tv. We were offered hot drinks and biscuits. The keeper came and walked us round the lemur/gibbon/marmoset enclosures talking about the animals.. The only problem was it didn't feel personal as general members of the public who hadn't paid for the experience kept latching on and listening. After speaking about the animals we were taken back to the educational centre for some sandwiches, drinks and cakes . the end ... i felt the experience offered nothing more than me standing by the enclosures myself and if any questions asking a near by keeper.

all in all the day was nice and i enjoyed walking around and taking photographs, all the staff on the day were friendly but unfortunately the monkey experience did not enhance the visit much.

Just back from a fab overnight stay at the zoo. We'd stayed in the Zebra apartment which was suitably stripy. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and we had a range of kids from 2 to 14 (plus a couple of big kids) great couple of days topped off by a private tour with a lovely ranger before the park opened and breakfast with the most beautiful tigers. Can't recommend enough was great fun

A very expensive day out and was not optimistic. Went with my two grandchildren aged 3 and 5 -they had a great time. Just enough to see and lots of energy consuming things to do. The children gained a lot of knowledge too. I was particularly impressed with the manners of the staff, young and old alike; very polite and pleasant to both the children and myself. Good system of paying on line which cut our waiting time down considerably. Took a picnic as food outlets were expensive.
Expensive but will return as a special treat.

Had to entertain two teenage grandchildren and this was ideal. Some wonderful animals - most of the big cats including rare white lions and a rare white tiger, plus cheetah, leopard and so on. Cute meerkats and mongoose which you can pay a huge amount of money to feed. Very informative panels on each compound. Regular talks when feeding time including tiger. Plenty of smaller mammals and birds. Lots of amusements and entertainments and rides for smaller kiddies. All in all, a pleasant surprise as after having seen zoos in China, I had said I'd never go to another one.Bags of parking and space even on Bank Holiday Sunday.

The park itself is good. A cross between an amusement park and a zoo. Neither of the elements are great but put together it keeps the kids very happy.

There are 2 major negatives;

1.Most of the activities require extra payment. At £70 for a family of 4 entry this is frankly not on. We spent a significant part of the day having to say "no". As any parent knows this is never fun.

2. There are a wide variety of people at the park, this is always good. However, having your child literally pushed to the floor twice whilst groups shoved there children to the front is simply not fun. Cultural differences are good, a basic lack of manners isn't.

In short, we enjoyed but wont be returning.

Visited Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday with my young children (aged 7 & 2); as we live locally, we've been 3 times over the past couple of years and the kids love the mixture of animals and play and always have a lot of fun. Don't really want to write any more about the attraction itself, but want to applaud the customer service and amazing customer care extended to us. During our visit yesterday, there was an incident involving another park guest - no fault of the park itself but we felt we should complete a comments card before leaving to ensure the park management were aware. Great handling of the situation at the time it was reported, followed up by a call from the park manager this evening, who couldn't be more apologetic. Always gives you confidence in an attraction when they take customer feedback so seriously and act upon it. First class - well done!
