Very good restaurant. Excellent tennerfest menu too. Felt like the staff were invested in your eating experience rather than just trying to rush through (which can happen at other places during tennerfest).

Highly recommended. Easy bus route from town too.

Things are only going to get tougher for local businesses like this. If you can only go out for 1 meal due to the impending restrictions, make it here! Excellent distancing, friendly welcome, and most of all superb food. Kirstie and the team are top of their game and hubby chef really knows how to cook and present. One small request, please please add pheasant to your menu this winter and I will have to come back!

Jersey has a Tevnerfest programme from 1.10 to 11.11 each year with many restaurants offer set meals at reasonable prices. They are listed in a newspaper style leaflet delivered to all homes in the Island. We look through each year and choose a few with different to usual menus.
We were disappointed that the fish and chips was Coley which is what is normally given to cats. The pork belly was loin and the other items failed in our opinion to match the printed circulated menu. The a la carte was expensive with bass at about £30.
We will not be going back as it has deteriorated since we were last there some time ago.

This restaurant is wonderful. The set menu constantly changes which makes the regulars very happy indeed. The al la carte is varied and I could honestly eat any one of the dishes, everything on the plate compliments the main star, the venison, the local pork, sea bass and lobster. The front of house staff will explain where the ingredients come from, most of the meat, fish and veg have travelled less distance than the diners! Ask for the ultimate cheese board, it is not what you would expect but is a cheese lovers dream. The bonus is a surprising low bill!

This was an absolutely fantastic evening. Tennerfest dinner which was nothing short of adventurous and excellent food. Such a wonderful team that made us feel very welcome (including children). Really deserves all the complimentary reviews.

Had a lovely meal this evening. I had the delicious tempura beef to start, a fresh fish and chips, and a warm, wintery crumble for desert. Would highly recommend. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday and it didn’t disappoint. A 3 course set menu with lots of choice hard to decide what to have. We went with Green soup and whitebait both had roast Beef and plum and apple crumble defiantly what was needed on a rainy cold day I think I used the word stunning ! Service is very welcoming and friendly and strict with following covid guidelines which is great to see. Looking forward to getting booked in again for a different menu during the weekdays. Definitely one not to miss!!

A great restaurant to visit. The staff were great and wery friendly and the food was just WOW! A fantastic menu and very talented team. The pinical of the meal was the Ultimate Cheeseboard. Celery Sorbe and Stilton Ice-cream was the perfect addition to the goats cheese.

The starter for both of us was the crispy tempura chilli beef! Had this dish elsewhere before, but this knocked spots off the others, really delicious with just the right amount of heat. Both had the jersey pig dish, faultless, so tender and tasty with fabulous vegetable sides and lovely “jus” Independent table menu, great value.
Was in our top five places to eat Now firmly positioned at the top #1
Thanks Kirstie and teamSee you soon

We were staying in Gorey harbour for a week and worked our way around all the restaurants, It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the harbour to the restaurant along the coast path. The restaurant is charming as were the staff. Service was excellent and our meal was delicious and we. Thought, excellent value. We would thoroughly recommend.

It was our first time visiting Jersey and certainly won't be the last, our friends had been to the bass before and had booked a table on the Saturday night for my birthday, straight away we we're made to feel extremely welcome, the front of house staff are amazing, now on to the food, well what can I say apart from amazing, we ate from the alacarte, homemade bread's and oils before our starters, I had the scollops to start and the bass and lobster for main and the best chocolate brownie ever, safe to say we enjoyed every part of our experience, enough to return for Sunday roast lunch and also for the set £20 lunchtime menu on the Thursday, can't emphasize enough how much we enjoyed the bass and lobster foodhouse, it is a must when visiting this gorgeous island, p.s the sorbets will blow your mind

We went there based on reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed.Luckily they fitted us in at short notice and I was over the moon with the reception we received. The menu was varied, catering to all tastes and prices, but above all was fresh and homemade. We didn't choose a starter so we were pleasantly surprised when a basket of the most gorgeous bread was placed in front of us with a good choice of oils & accompaniments. The main course, which was fish, was incredible and fresh with fresh vegetables. We couldn't go without trying a selection of homemade ice creams & sorbets followed by fresh coffee. All in all this was a memorable night with a meal that will take a long time to forget.Thanks.

The restaurant had lovely friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
I highly recommend the local goats cheese in filo for a starter which came with very tasty local tomatoes. For my main I had the jerk king prawn Caesar salad which was spicy and fresh and probably the best Caesar salad I have ever had. Obviously I also ordered the truffle chips to go with it which were impressive.
The fish and chips was with local place which was also good.
There was a good selection of french wines in the menu which is always good to see.
This is my new favourite restaurant, see you again soon.

Just writing this review is making my mouth water! Great varied menu - such a difficult choice to make for starters. Served with gherkins, olives, generous homemade chilli oil, herby butter was freshly made squid-ink bread-very different and moreish. We chose Freddies' softly boiled Quail eggs with tasty mushrooms on a brioche and appetizing lobster tempura with dipping sauce - so flavoursome. The catch of the day was plaice but I think I made the better choice of Crab stuffed Agnolotti which was just heavenly served with seered sweetcorn, a crab sauce and a delicious crispy chicken skin and samphire. Every dish was nicely presented and tasted even better. Kirstie and her team are tops, very attentive and great care is taken with hand sanitizers and cleanliness and many compliments to Simon too for the love and care he takes in delivering these great dishes. A booking is essential as the restaurant Saturday lunchtime was full with some outside tables being occupied too. Superb!

What a treat at the bass and lobster last night. I had been looking forward to the crab agnotti (apologise for sp!) all day and I wasn’t disappointed. Sweet crab meat with a beautiful sharp picked cucumber and sweet corn. My lamb main was cooked to perfection and the joy of the ultimate cheese board with its Stilton and celery icecream scoops was genius and delicious. The menu changes all the time and the staff service is tip top. I know where I ll be spending my £100!
