Popular with locals, it can be very busy, even during the week. Excellent quality food, especially fish. Don't be put off by the bizarre selection of ice creams - the ones which I have tried have all been delicious.

Visited as part of the Taste Of Jereey Tour. As a regular island visitor had often driven past this place, but not gone in. Something I now regret as the food we sampled was amazing. High quality, fresh ingredients.

Delicious !! Great effort from the waitress in French. Fish and ships excellent and fish of the day (sea bream) succulent! Improbable ice cream flavors :)

I only gave this place 5 stars because there is no option for more stars. This place is amazing. I can be quite harsh with reviews (as my other reviews probably reflect) but I cannot commend this place enough.
The whole package, the very unusual manu, the quality of the food. The cleanliness, the staff, the decor.... it's just fantastic.

We had a nice time. The service was a little slow, but when dealt with the waiters/tresses were very polite and attentive, orders were taken in good detail. I ordered the steak from a predominantly fish menu, it was cooked to request, but with the mushroom sauce etc...I was surprised that it didn't have huge amounts of flavour. The parmesan chips were rich and tasty, recommended. I didn't have dessert but the remainder of my party did and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sea bream was very fresh. Lamb dish was expertly prepared, nicely presented and tasty. Lobster bisque was not really a bisque and it's brown broth appearance was not appealing. Ice cream selections were amazing! 30 flavors of freshly made ice cream. Irish coffee and chocolate fondant were also excellent.

Organised a department Christmas dinner and had the excellent set Christmas menu for £27.50. Upon arrival we got a wonderful warm welcome. Food and service were just fantastic - nothing was too much trouble even though they were busy. The roast potatoes were the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant - crunchy and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside ⭐️
When dining with a big party we all know that standards may not be as high as you’d expect as when you’re in a small group but don’t worry about that here - no compromise in food quality or service. Well done The Bass & Lobster - 10 out of 10

The restaurant is under new management - a husband and wife team. Service was excellent. We just had a two-course lunch. Whitebait were the best I have ever had and the rack of lamb was perfection.
