My wife & I were simply blown away with what we came to see. I paid particular homage to my late father who served on the artic convoys in the role of chief signal man on the Commodores ships surviving 8 voyages and awarded the DSM.

What a lovely place this is. I never thought I would feel so humble. my wife and I were accompanied by friends who we were staying with really enjoyed the experience. As a veteran of the submarine service, I was proud to see the Submarine Memorial and what it represents.
I will be returning as I think it will look even better when the plants are in full bloom.
The staff deserve praise for their efforts in keeping the place running and to the standard it is at.
Fully recommended for a visit.

Dog-friendliness: My friends and navy others took dogs with them and are welcomed

I knew this was here but I have never visited before. It covers a huge area and there are lots of memorials to see, and there are some nice walks both inside the site and in the surrounding areas.

I highly recommend visiting here. It's incredibly peaceful and a refreshing walk. They have a train for those who would struggle to walk long distances. Note that you do have to pay to ride the train. The guides are full of knowledge. I met John and he was such a sweetheart.

Restrooms: Plenty of toilets in the main building. Very clean.

Picnic area: The main building has indoor and outdoor eating facilities with a café.

Update - visit today and will go again when I can. The attached photograph is of a plaque I thought was pertinent to the NMA. To ALL who gave you should never be forgotten 🕊🇺🇳 🇬🇧

Big place, nice walks, better in summer. Memorials spread out over a large area with no obvious links between them. Good facilities.

Excellent place to spend a few hours in nice pleasant surroundings, with plenty of easy access walks, which take in a lot of history, in a place which is so well kept and is a fine tribute to the people who have given so much in serving the nation, the commonwealth and the world as a whole.
Facilities are kept to a fantastic standard, with an excellent cafe, gift shop and visitor centre. The toilets facilities are very well maintained and are some of the cleanest I have ever used.
The National Memorial Arboretum is definitely worth a visit, whenever you are passing whether for a few hours or just to nip in for a quick visit to the cafe.
