I went there when the lights was up and it was a fantastic place to walk around to see all the hardwork that has gone in to remembering the fallen ones. Itbwas very touching and makes you proud to be british.

We visited the memorial arboretum this evening for the Christmas lights show, intended to be a nice evening with the family looking at what I'd wrongly assumed was going to be a Christmas light show based on the price, as opposed to lit pathways around the arboretum. The tickets were very expensive for what it was, I'm sorry to say I would not recommend going at £25 per head.

There are some food stalls midway round where you could purchase mulled wine, coffee, various german sausages, burgers and waffles, so there was a relatively large festive selection of food and drink, vegetarian options were also available. This again however was expensive, mulled wine was £5.50 a cup, and the bratwursts are roughly £7 each. For the 6 of us it worked out a very expensive couple of hours.

The lights were pleasant enough, however being brutally honest, driving around you pass more spectacular Christmas lights that people have decorated their houses with.

The best bit is the Circular memorial wall, which is the last site on the trip. Which was lit with static spotlights beaming into the sky. There was also a statue that had been brought to life by light, which was very good earlier on the path and a woodland area with lit up reindeer as the most memorable displays.

Had it not been as expensive as it was, it would've been an average activity with a few pretty lights and as something nice to do over Christmas, however for the price it did feel like somewhat of a let down.

Went to see the lights, the place is really calm and relaxed, perfect for anyone that has children with additional needs that struggle to go to busier parks.

We visited the Illuminated Arboretum Night and was blown away with the event.
Trying in several memorials and having areas to remember loved ones, was just so in keeping and thoughtful, it made our visit part of people's future visits.
The Forces Memorial at night, with skyreaching lights and atmospheric music was a point when I may have had dust in my eyes. Far more moving lit like this than I've ever seen in the day.
Thanks to staff, vols et all. Great night.

Excellent on all counts. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The restrooms were clean and tidy. The Far East display was exceptionally moving thank you. However, we were surprised that there was no memorial to service animals apart from a beautiful sculpture of a horse that was not labelled.

We will be back in the warmer weather!

We visited for the Christmas illuminations. They have done a good job with the layout and lighting effects. Worth a visit but recognise that it is a sombre place.

Everything was wonderful. A great place to visit. Just six pounds to go if you don't book the car park. Was going to see the lights for Xmas until I found out it was 24 per person. Outrageous. The four of us would be 100 pounds if you include parking.

A very special place. My wife and I explored only half of the memorials which are very varied and range from amusing to emotionally challenging. We place a RBL cross there each November in memory of my wife's grandad who perished near Ypres in January 1915, my father who was probably the only ski troop to serve in Burma!, and to my mum who was in the ATS.
Good to see school parties learning our history.
Excellent restaurant for lunch and very helpful staff, most of whom are volunteers. Dog friendly and good facilities for the less able. Playground and plenty of picnic spots by the river.
Make it a must visit if not a pilgrimage.
