The National Memorial Arberetum was a wonderful experience. We spent 3 hours touring the different displays which were all very interesting. The Staff and Volunteers couldn't have been more helpful. They were all very knowledgeable and willing to pass on their experiences to the public. I would highly recommend this trip to one and all.

Third visit over the years, even more to see since last visit. Visitor centre so much bigger and better, cafe etc. same. All facilities in place also for those with mobility issues. Lots of quiet corners for sitting and reflection. Gardens beautifully tended. Well done to all the volunteers. As you can see I think it's a great place to visit.

Always an emotional experience and today a first-class band from Lichfield. Good service from the cafe topped it all off. We'll be back soon.

Fantastic if you are into military history but if you go in the winter time wrap up warm and bring your wellies on the flip side if you are on a disability scooter it is extremely hard to get to all the memorials

Awe inspiring place, even for someone - like me - with no direct connection with war or fields of conflict. Peaceful, thought provoking and hospitable. The staff and volunteers are lovely too.

Free entry, but pay-to-park (£6 today)
Lots of memorials and dedication plaques for those killed or wounded in action for Queen & Country. (What would you expect!)
Very mixed emotions. Reasonably tranquil (bar the trains on the Burton line) and peaceful to promote reflection. Wonderful selection of wildlife (terns, wagtails, oystercatchers, demoiselle mayflies, cuckoos) and the rewilding of former gravel pits.
We went on the Jubilee Thursday, so the West Midlands Police brass band were playing a very odd selection of tunes. Capped off by the Avro Lancaster flying overhead on its way back from the celebrations in London.
And reasonably dog friendly. Yes, they must be on leads at all times and aren't allowed on the Armed Forces Memorial barrow.
Great day out.
