I always like to visit the museum as they have lovely exhibitions there and it is right in the centre of Taunton and have a very nice but expensive cafe...ooh! and they do lovely teas and coffees too ☕☕

An excellent museum showcasing the highlights of the south-west county of Somerset. The interpretive exhibits bring to life it's remarkable and diverse heritage, as well as its current day make-up, geography and industry.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. There is an attractive cafe and a well stocked shop. There is no charge for admission.

This was a perfect way to enjoy an hour with 2 little ones. They found a lot of interest throughout the museum, as it clearly has put a lot of thought into catering for all ages. Took the pram and was able to access almost all of it.
