Located within a 12th century historic castle this museum is filled with information on Somerset's story from prehistoric times to the present day. You could wander here for hours and learn so much! Definitely a 5 star experience!

Very interesting. Well worth a visit or three. You will have to go more than once as you won't be able to see it all in one go.

A brilliant place in the centre of Taunton which has stayed true to itself. Picturesque on the outside and one of the most beautiful places in Somerset. That's just to look at on the outside, the fact it's free, with friendly, passionate and super friendly staff is yet another plus. Wheelchair accessible and really good for learning disabilities and physical disabilities.... I have been several times and I find all ages enjoy this wonderful attraction. The cafe is also brilliant and serves lovely food and drinks with a whole range of choices while the shop inside the reception also has lots to offer. Well worth a visit!

What a lovely building and exhibitions. Never been here before as we live too far away, but well worth a visit. We came for the Doris Hatt (the artist) exhibition. The staff and contributors have done an excellent job. We also had a look at the rocks & fossils, well displayed and informative.
