Good portion sizes and selection of ales. Food was tasty. It’s a surprisingly large space once you’re inside with lots of light. Currently part of the Blast Photo Fest. Would like to see a veggie mixed grill on the menu please!

One of the best pubs I've been in before an away day! Sup as much as you can & balance it out with some of the nicest kebabs ever seen! Big fan!

Great food. Can get very busy over the weekend. This place is good value for money as not a place for fine dining which reflects in the atmosphere. If you’re there for good food & some drinks it is a rustic place that serves the purpose. Biryani is great with an authentic charcoal flavour. There is some off road parking, toilets aren’t great either.

Been here many times. Tikka is the speciality here or in fact anything from the grill. Shame they do a mixed grill but as fabulous as ever

Visited this place with my partner - tasty food! Recommend the chicken off the grill and Sag Panner. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere to go with your friends - we will be back very soon.

What a diamond of a pub this is. Went in before a game at the hawthorns they allow away fans in too. Good range of real ales as well as other beers. The food was fantastic the chicken tikka wrap was excellent. It was that good we went back in after the game until 9.30 and I had the goat curry it was to die for.

Unfortunately we only get to the Vine once or twice a year when we visit shows at the NEC. I have truly never had such superb Indian food- they offer a great choice of popular, traditional and specialty dishes all freshly cooked and delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient- Liam was a great help with deciding what we wanted and pointed us to a very acceptable bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The owner is usually around with one eye on his paper and the other on his staff and customers - all of which are happy. Truly worth a visit- you will not be disappointed- two minutes off the M5 and you are there.

Change of staff on the face of it but tikka still some of the best you will get anywhere. Onion Bhajis very filling & tasty. Cooking time ok

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, ordered 2 chicken tikka from the grill to start. Chicken was a bit over cooked and wasn’t particularly as great flavoured as I thought it would be.
Sheekh kebab wrap was actually quite nice for the main but my partner ordered a korma which tasted a bit too spicy for a korma which was bizarre as I imagined it to be very mild. Probably would return but maybe order something different on the menu to give the place another go as it’s right next to the Albion and isn’t a bad pub either.

The Vine will always be famous for being one of the first Indian grill houses, and back in the day Indians from all over would visit as there were not many, if any Indian barbecue eateries. But as there are so many littered around the midlands now the place isn’t so exclusive, and the food is lagging well behind some of its rivals. We ordered some barbecued Chicken Tikka along with a Lamb Curry and although the Chicken was above average the curry was poor. It tasted like a pre cooked meal deal you would find in a supermarket, and making this known to the staff made no difference whatsoever. The building itself has grown in size so to accommodate those who visit going off their prior reputation, but unfortunately The Vine is no longer held in the same esteem it once was by myself sorry.
