We are so happy we found this little gem... and it is not little either. From the front it looks small but it is a Tardis and once you get inside there is tons of space.
The food was amazing, we had the Piri Piri Chicken and Chicken Tikka from the grill and it was excellent and the Nann bread was bigger than my head and to top it all off it was bargain. Our whole meal came to less than £15.00

We found ourselves here before a football match and had a very good curry.
Limited range of real ales on (two maximum)
Not sure why else why you would end up in the this part of the world, but it’s almost
Worth coming back for that curry

My visit didn't start off promisingly when I saw one of the chefs casually rinsing his hands without soap whilst on his mobile in the toilet. Not that it's a problem using your phone and rinsing your hands, but the use of soap would've been more reassuring especially if he'd used the toilet.
Back to the review. I've eaten at three of the pub-converted Indian restaurants in the Sandwell area now and I don't believe that this is the best one. I had the vegetable biryani which was rather red and not too many vegetables. There was a very small amount of sauce with it, however, it was tasty. For beer I had a real ale which didn't taste the best. Friendly bar staff.I may go again and try a vegetable curry with rice instead of the biryani.

Used to visit with my late husband, both of us Albion fans. We'd make a point of getting here early before the match. Great selection of tasty, well cooked Indian food and nann breads cooked to perfection. If you want a great atmosphere before or after the match, this is the place. Last time I came, was pleased to see everything still up there for atmosphere and taste. Keep up the good work fellas.

Do not be put off by the exterior. The Vine serves great food for a great price. There are plenty of choices from the BBQ to the standard menu and the staff are friendly. Portion sizes are huge, we recommend shish kebab and the garlic naan!
Sometimes you cannot beat a good chilled curry at a local.
The only negative is that as soon as I introduced this place to my boyfriend, he cannot get enough which is not good for the figure. It is his favourite place to eat on a Friday/Saturday night and I can't say I disagree.

Popped in for a quick business lunch, great choice of Indian classics, nice selection of beers, very reasonable prices, and very quick service. No wonder we keep coming back so often.
PS. Don’t be put off by the outside appearance this place is a gem.

You order charcoal cooked meats from the grill & curries from the bar.
Don't do what we did, got excited at the grill......ordered too much succulent chicken tikka as starters which left (embarrassingly) no room to finish the curry, rice & amazing naans we ordered for the main course!
Really interesting set up, located next to industrial area, very busy with locals told us we'd made a good decision.
After feasting well, and sampling the many draft beers/ciders on offer; we knew we'd made a great decision!
Thank you Trip Advisor contributors... without who we'd never have found this gem.

Whether you are in the mood for a curry or something from the grill, you won't be disappointed. My favourite is the spiced Tilapia fish. Usually very busy, and the staff are always friendly

We eat here most weeks always have the bbq, the bar staff are always friendly. Went today and parked on the vines carpark at the back, I parked over the last line because only a matchbox car would be able to get in the last space and it would be difficult to turn in or out anyway. Waiting for our food a barmaid came to ask us if we could move our car as management said we’d parked over a line.
I went out to move it there were plenty of other spaces for cars to park mine wasn’t causing a problem at all! I moved it to a space near the entrance without a problem, I just find it amusing management was there why they couldn’t ask us themselves 🤔 and was it there car parked in the space when we left 🤔🤣

We went to the Vine on recomendations from a friend who said how good it was,
When we arrived we walked into the tardis type building as it only looks like a small pub from the outside but once inside it is quite a large eating place complete with indoor grill. The food was first class and we all enjoyed ourselves.
I will definitely return in the future

Many years ago my family used to bring me here and I can’t believe it’s still standing. The food is still great but the only let down is the kids area isn’t no longer there. Staff all pleasant and food came out so quickly! Great stuff!

We went here at the weekend with my husbands sister and her husband. It was our first visit and I enjoyed it. The Vine looks quite small from the front/outside however it goes on and on once inside. The place has a lovely feel, as if you are sat in a friends house, the food is good and plentiful and the service good.

Great place, been coming here for years, I love the history of the pub... if only those walls could talk!!!
Staff are always lovely, I walked in last night and was greeted with smiles and I love being called Bab! So West Brom! our waitress had a little joke with us which was great,
Lots of choice on the menu, food is with you quickly and always hot and fresh, a really good indoor BBQ, cooked while you wait
Up the well worn Victorian pub steps to a place that opens out with plenty of space to sit, eat, enjoy a drink and relax...Love it x

Just got back home after a visit to the Vine, with couple of mates after work. I haven’t been there for a few years and can’t believe how big it is a clear sign of maintaining standards, well done. There is one real negative though. I was really disappointed that the older server on the grill is still allowed to palm customers change. He very neatly palmed a pound of my change. It is not the money and I would gladly leave a tip but to take money in that manner, well it sort of takes the edge off what was an enjoyable experience.

Have to say this is the best pre match drinking / eating place I have ever been too. They have got a few ales on tap tap a great indoor BBQ. The food that we got was very nice. As an away fan it's nice to be able to mix with the home fans. Would definitely visit again next time I am in the area. Well worth the visit.

Was in here Saturday 05/05/2018 for football match, Fantastic Food, Drink and a friendly welcome from the West Brom fans, The only Disappointing Thing That Really lets this pub down is that when the home fans start singing that’s ok but when the Away fans start you get thrown out So my advice is that if you like a pre match sing and banter with the home fans then avoid this pub, 10/10 for Food and welcome but sorry 3/10 for having a laugh

Don’t get me wrong. There are pros and cons to The Vine. Pros. There is a good sized car park, the restaurant is spacious. The food was served extremely fast.
The food was nice but nothing I’d rave about. The service from the staff was good and the staff were nice and pleasant.
The cons. Firstly the bizarre logic of different places to order specific foods. Grilled food is ordered at the grill. Any other foods to be ordered at the bar. There is no instructions to this. It’s kind of a work it out for yourself game. The price of the food was reasonable for the portions. The price of the cider was a bit much. 1 pint of Cider cost £4.50. For a Deli pub serving Indian cuisine there was no mixed grill! 60p per serving of mint sauce and a pretty nasty “brown sauce” that was unlimited.
Tried the “Vines famous Tikka grill chicken” and it was burnt. There wasn’t a lot of spice to the rest of the food, but unlike the tikka, the curries were tasty, not burnt. The curries were nice and pleasant to eat but it tasted like every other curry. It really didn’t get me raving.
It’s a nice enough restaurant and I would eat there again, but being completely honest there are other desi pubs in the area I would prefer to go to than the vine.

Came here as part of a tour of local pubs around the area and was recommended to eat here, small front but once inside it opens out to an amazing bar then grill area.
The food was fantastic, the staff were very happy to answer any questions and ask the chef if unsure.Would recommend the place to anyone.

It was very busy and the front of pub with no seats availble in bar due to football being on. Plenty of tables available in restaurant at the back. Was disappointed as i wanted a mix grill and was told that i had to order the meats separately and they dont do mix grill. I feel that menu is not accommodating for all. Based on that experience i will not be returning.

Visited this area and the restaurant for the first time with a group of friends on a Wednesday evening. Sorry this review is not linked to any football event.
The venue was terrific as were the staff and the food. Ordered via the wi fi which resulted in a fast and and efficient service.
I ordered the lamb dupiaza with rice and a naan bread which proved quite a challenge to finish. Excellent food quality & portion sizes.
The venue was modern & clean. The prices charged were very reasonable however this is compared to London and the SE where it would be difficult to match such value for money provided by this restaurant.
A really great meal at a terrific venue. Will definitely return if in the area.

Every time we visit for a game against West Brom we have to visit here!! An amazing place very quirky and the food is fantastic. Now tasted both the kebabs and the curry and can’t fault it. A great spot and very friendly.

The Vine was an amazing restaurant which lived up to the expectations, both from TripAdvisor and its own website. My partner and I had a vegetable and goat curry, chicken tikka from the barbecue, samosas and some sides such as the chappati and poppadums. All of the food was flavourful, fresh and tasted wonderful.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very friendly and familiar, and there were quite a few people there on a Wednesday evening. Having parking around the corner is also a big plus.
If you are in the area, be sure to visit!
