short distance from the Hawthorns we had a couple of pre match beers in here. Never tried the food but it did look very good with mainly Indian dishes on the menu. It's a very big pub with plenty of room and a decent selection of beers. Not sure what the guys on the door are collecting money for though.

Visited on a Saturday night with a group of friends, great choice of food from the menu or off the BBQ, love the layout of the front end of the pub and very spacious through the seated areas. Prompt faultless service and lots of empty plates... busy but not too busy, no loud music to drown out conversation - we will definitely be back!!

I came to this pub before going to watch a football match at West Bromich Albion.
It's a very large pub and the staff were of plenty and helpful and polite. I ordered some food which was ok but a bit overpriced for what I got.
It had a mixture of fans from both teams playing that night and everyone got on well and the place was very busy until kick off.
I would definitely visit this pub again if I visit West Bromich again.

Fab curry and grill on offer. Excellent quality and value for money with friendly helpful staff. Lots of seating, catering for all ages and kids are welcome. The range of curries on offer is extensive so ensure you give yourself plenty of time to choose as I assure you you will change your mind a couple times before you finally decide.

A popular pub serving a large variety of decent food. Always busy at lunchtimes but enough space for everyone. Prices are reasonable too.

My 3rd visit to the Vine in recent years was up to it's usual standard, excellent.
If you're looking for a meal & drink before going to the game, then this is the place. They serve many combinations of curry from the bar, & a selection of Kebabs/BBQ from the rear bar. Everything is cooked fresh.
One word of warning, get there early. The place gets absolutely rammed (esp when WHUFC are in town)

This is not your average Pub it is an experience.
Serving excellent Indian food from an extensive selection this is an experience not to miss. The Pub has an indoor BBQ area where you can get freshly cooked Kebabs, fish and other goodies.A limited range of Real Ale is available and always served in a good condition.
It can get very busy but this simply adds to the enjoyment of this somewhat unique Pub.

Smashing meal, cooked to perfection in the BBQ room, very reasonably priced, and generous portion size. Clean toilet facilities, friendly staff and wide choice of meals. I will be going again to try a meal from the curry selection.

The bar staff were rude to me, the place is shabby. The food was nice, and was at the table 2 minutes after we sat down. Not sure if that's a good thing.. Not sure the food is made to order and might be why the bar man was unable to make any change the meal I ordered.
We caught a glimpse into the kitchen and there are rows of microwaves. It is good value for money. I won't be returning I'm a fan of suki's their other restaurant MUCH NICER.

Try the clay pot chicken with a bullet naan and masala chips!
Absolutely brilliant and a very good choice of beers.

Decided to visit The Vine with family for my birthday meal, we have been here many many times previously and have never been disappointed. For a change I chose the special which was salmon, absolutely adored it! The whole family were satisfied with their food, we had ordered curries and barbecue food, every mouthful consistently amazing. I have always recommended this place to everyone looking for good authentic Indian food. Prices have always been reasonable and the service is always fast and always accurate. Never have a negative word to say.

Visited The Vine on many occasions and never been disappointed, the quality of food and speed of service is excellent and always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Recently The Vine has had a bit of a makeover which makes it a nice place to eat and drink after work and would recommend.

Who needs a traditional indian restaurant when you can just go to The Vine, West Bromwich. We visited as a couple over lunch. We were the first ones in after 11.30am and we were sat down with our 'Curries-Your own way' 3 meat dish Chicken, Lamb & Prawn with our chosen sauces Balti and Jalfrezi with Pesswari naan's, mushroom fried rice and not forgetting the massala chips within 25 minutes of ordering and being seated. All of this for less than £23.50 and a further £7.00 for drinks making our total bill for 2, a shade over £30.00 which represents excellent value for money!! Can't wait to go back for our 2nd visit, hopefully sometime soon. We can see why this place is so highly recommended. A must try.

We went as a group of 4 and ordered some bbq chicken grill and curries. You have to order curries from the bar and the grill from the other room. The curry menu is on the wall in the bar and bbq menu in the grill area. We had to view the website on our phones to look at the menu whilst we were sitting there.
We needed plates and they gave small disposable plates which was not great. It just seemed like alot of work to get some food and eat. The price of food was quite expensive compared to other restaurants of similar stature.
It has got a good vegetarian selection which most pubs do not provide.

Heard about this place so decided to give it a try. We had a chicken balti,a chilli chicken curry and a paneer tikka masala with bhaji starters and rotis all round.
Positives - 1.the price,
2. the atmosphere,3. the decor,
4. clean loos.5. Well kept ales
6. Fast turnaround, efficient waitressesNegatives -
1. Worlds tiniest ever pot of sauce with the bhaji ! - jokes - and you have to buy another one when that runs out! There should be red sauce with the bhaji anyway, not yoghurt and mint right?2. The Indian barman was a bit moody to my friend when she went to order some extras, uncalled for - guys we are spending money in your business.
3. The conservatory room is a bit draughty, I almost put my coat back on4. The chicken balti and chilli chicken curry looked identical, same colour and not much taste difference. The paneer tikka masala was a bit too tomato-ey, too red and had that heinz tomato soup taste to it which I dont think is right.
Rotis were very good though5. Poppadoms come with some onions only - guys sort this out please!
Overall - my advice is stick to the barbecued food ( which you have to order from a different room), although we didnt have any, the steaming plates looked awesome.
I might go back and try the barbecue food one day but I wouldn't rush back.

'Welcome to The Vine', 'can I help you', 'enjoy your evening' - phrases you won't hear at The Vine!
Beautiful decor, clean toilets (important!), lovely fresh, hot and delicious curry at takeaway prices.
We had veg samosas, onion bhajis, chicken Manchurian (the best dish of the night!), goat curry, bullet naan and masala fries (the worst dish of the night - bland, frozen chips with a teeny tiny bit of spice sprinkled over them).
Drinks prices were okay but the diet Pepsi didn't contain a single bubble - when I mentioned it to the bar man, I was told "that's just how it is". Oh, that's alright right then!
The people opposite us complained about the greasy poppadoms, to be told 'they're all like that, they're deep fried". Umm.
This place has an amazing reputation locally and it is is a nice venue, but it's not awesome and that's the fault of the staff. Take some pride in your work!!

This place came recommended by virtually everyone on the internet and the receptionist at our hotel. Enormous range of fantastic indian food, great range of drinks and fantastic prices - my two colleagues and I ordered more food than, as it unfortunately turned out, than we could eat by quite a margin plus alcohol and the bill was under £70.
A fantastic conversion of the 'English country pub' into something that really reflects the great people of Birmingham. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely curry here, it's very casual, a bit of a fast food type atmosphere but don't let that put you off. Prices are so cheap, think takeaway prices, food is spot on, will definitely go back!

Visited for the first time in many years - and wasn't disappointed. The interior has been extended and much improved since I was last here- which was probably approaching 20 years!
The Indian style barbecue was the popular choice amongst the hundreds of pre match visitors - which also included many "away" fans (Crystal Palace on this occasion). It was noticeable to see the reaction of the southern visitors when realising how cheap the beer was!
A decent choice of beer (real ale available) along with tasty, good value food makes this a perfect place to enjoy a real buzz before a game at West Brom. COYB!

As you will have read before don't let the exterior of this pub/eatery put you off. Entering you will find a very modern eatery with plenty of different dinning spaces. You can choose from indoor BBQ, Indian or English with a few specials. The ordering system was a little strange you had to order your starters of the BBQ if that's what you chose then go back and pick it up 10 minutes later. Then you go to the main bar area to order your main course. The BBQ starters were very well cooked and excellent value for money. The main course again was very tasty and plentiful also quick to be cooked. The place had a great atmosphere with an eclectic mix of clientele and we ate with our young daughter who was more than welcome. The only two things that could make the place better would be the improving the exterior and the ordering process so you order at one point and don't go for your own starters.

Don't be put off by the outside of this establishment. It gives the appearance of a 'drinkers ' pub but inside waits a warm welcome and the aroma of delicious Indian cuisine. The menu can be found on the blackboard along one wall. You need a bit of time to choose and it is likely there will be curry dishes you wont have heard of. If that isn't enough then wander into the back room for the barbecue food.
Very good value for money. Food hot and served quickly. If I lived locally it would be a place I would visit again.

Recommended by a family member, this pub cum restaurant (although make no mistake it is a restaurant) is an absolute gem.
Atmosphere: buzzing, friendly, welcoming.
Service: swift, amiable, efficient.Value: excellent, around £10-12 a head for a couple of courses and all the sundries.
Food: very, very tasty with a wide but simple selection. Superb Naans. Curries of many heats. Masala Fries. Freshly cooked BBQ tikka and meats. Drinks: normal pub bar service, including real ale.
Don't be at all put off by the location; go there now. Well, during opening hours.

Whilst staying in West Bromwich for a Spa mid week break, my wife and I reviewed Trip Advisor for an Indian restaurant near to our hotel. We read the reviews and The Vine seemed very good and was only 0.3 miles away.
When we got there, on a Thursday night , the place was very busy. When you went through the door, it was almost like entering a house with three small rooms off a hallway leading to a bar on the right. It then opened up into a big open plan room with plenty of tables and chairs. Further on was what I believe to be a barbeque area plus the kitchen area. The bar to the right also opened out into the main open plan room. The three small rooms could host between 6 and 20 people. This was a very unusual layout of rooms but it made the Vine quite unique and inviting.
It was very busy but that did not make a difference to the service which was superb throughout. We decided to sit in one of the rooms for about 16 people where we were fortunate to get a place. We decided on a lamb balti for the wife and a chicken balti for myself plus poppadoms and naan bread etc.The food came within ten minutes and without a shadow of a doubt, in all the years that I've been eating Indian food, that was the best Indian meal I have ever eaten. With all the extras as well, we paid less than £20 for two. Absolutely outstanding value for money!!
Reading a previous remark on Trip Advisor there is a comment of it being "a tiny old man pub in some random residential area of West Brom" which is correct but what a gem of a place. For a Thursday night the atmosphere was great and really vibrant.I would visit The Vine on a regular basis if it was in Cardiff where I live; what a shame it is over 100 miles away. I'm sure I will be back in the future though...
