Stayed here a few times now. Hotel facilities are nice with friendly staff. I have to say though, my partner and I agreed that the rooms maybe need a bit of a re vamp. Slightly old fashioned showing signs of wear and tear in places. Overall an ok hotel with room for improvement in the rooms

Hotel is integrated to Macron Stadium. It is approximately ten minute walk to Middlebrook Shopping Centre. This hotel is near a motorway.

I booked this hotel for four nights (10-14July2015). I was given room 609. This room is spacious with two twin beds. View from my room is car park and main road. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning in my room. Everyday I opened the window to keep room cool. It was noisy outside due to my room facing a main road. When the window is shut you hardly hear outside noise.

Breakfast was plentiful. Choices are: Bacon, sausage, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomato, potatoes, beans, cereals, porridge, pastries, croissants, toasts, assorted jams, fresh fruits, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, fruit juices, selection of teas, coffee machine which makes latte, cappuccino, etc.). Twice I ordered breakfast in my room. A card is provided in the room which needs to be filled out and hung on the door by 2:00am.

My two friends and I dined at Brasserie Restaurant on July 11 around 8:30pm. It was not crowded at all for a Saturday night which was nice for us. Actually there was only one table with a party of four adults and a child.

My starter was Seared Scallops, Heathcote black pudding, smoked pancetta, pea puree, micro water cress. (£2.50 extra)

Roast Rump of Lamb which I ordered medium rare was cooked like I wanted. It came with hotpot potatoes, pickled red cabbage, green beans, red wine jus. It was tasty and tender.

My friends ordered Roast Breast of Chicken Breast wrapped in pancetta, parisienne potatoes, wild mushroom fricassee & wild garlic which they raved about.

For dessert, we shared Textures of Strawberry which was served in a grey slate. It had cheesecake wrapped in strawberry gel, meringue, strawberry marshmallows, strawberry caviars, slices of fresh strawberries, crumbled digestive biscuits. We liked this delightful dessert.

Lee was our server. He is professional, friendly and helpful. Thanks to Lee who arranged an electric fan to be sent to my room after I mentioned to him I was unhappy that my room did not have air conditioning.

Free wi-fi in the room is fast. I was surprised this hotel has steam room which I gladly used.

When I checked out of the hotel I was charged £20.00/day for breakfast versus £10.00/day for four days which was the price quoted to me by Liam when I checked in. Breakfast would have cost £12.00/day if I did not choose breakfast for four days. Laura assisted me when I checked out and adjusted my total bill.

When I am in Bolton again I would like to stay at this hotel and request a room with stadium view. Thank you Liam, Laura, Andrew and Lee for your assistance.

Not for the first time we stayed at the whites hotel, but it was the first time staying and not being part of the severe group. For what we paid on the whites web site found it to be extremely good value, also had breakfast which also was reasonable value. Drinks in the bar were not cheap though. All in all it was a pleasant stay.for the football fan visiting the macron stadium it is the ideal location to make a weekend of it with other bars and restaurants locally situated!

Arrived to the hotel and was very surprised to have the room overlooking the football pitch, which i enjoyed very much.

Hotel food was great, friendly staff behind the bar, reception and also in the gym.

great facilities and great location with the retail park close by which was a saviour as I had under-packed for my stay.

I'll definitely be back

We stayed there for one night and it is an excellent hotel, good value for money. There are shops and restaurants around.
Good reception.
The only issue we has was to access to the floor with elderly parents as there are no direct access to some floors. It is a design fault.

Very friendly and efficient staff.
Looking forward to my next stay.
The room was clean and spacious.
Restaurant menu was very nice.
Needs air conditioning as the road was extremely noisey which made opening the window a bad idea.

Back in the day stadia and hotels used to have entirely separate functions, so I really wasn't expecting much. However I was very impressed with staff, free parking, free wifi, comfort of room and had a wonderful meal in the bistro - it was top notch and good value too. Lovely short stay... recommended.

I absolutely love this hotel ,
I use it around 5 times a year.
my fammliy came on the visit this time our stay was free due to The last time We booked into the penthouse they changed without any notice .

if I had to pay what they were asking I would've been quite upset as the size of the penthouse sweets is one of the smallest I've ever been in .
The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are the best I've had the privilege of meeting .
The food and drink prices are adequate .
And the location of the hotel allows easy access to other locations an hour from Blackpool or 10 min from Bolton town center .
If the prices were cheaper it would be a 5 star as you can get better hotels in the UK for the same price .

We booked The Penthouse Suite here for the night as it was my daughters Prom at the Macron that evening.
We were very disappointed at the size of the room and with the view ( lack of ).
The bathroom although it was large in size was very tired dated and in a state of disrepair ( discoloured brown grouting / missing grouting and old fittings ).
My daughter enjoyed getting ready there and going onto her Prom ( Macron is integrated to hotel) so that alongside the plentiful breakfast we had the next day saved their grace-only just.
Would I go back?-
Nice staff* (tick box - yes)
*A nice touch was a note addressed to me wishing us a pleasant stay.
However when you book a "Penthouse Suite" one would expect to have at least a good sized room with a nice view and the bathroom to be up to full spec - the toiletries were fantastic so if they are spending on top quality soaps they should be spending it on basic repairs too -
So if that was supposedly the best room - no sadly I wouldn't.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of May when we attended a craft fair in Bolton. The hotel is actually in Bolton football clubs stadium and it was very good. The reception staff were very welcoming and very helpful. The room we had was a disabled room and was well equipped. We had our breakfast in our room as my husband was tired and well, we couldn't finish it all, there was so much.
Across from the hotel is a retail park so we walked round that which was great, plenty of shops and places to eat.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area with plenty to do.

I have stayed in this hotel for the last 6/7 years on business and the staff have always been amazing. Always able to help and sort out problems or just been lovely and friendly on every visit. Has always been a comfy stay and food/drink & services are always up to scratch.
Amazing day/evening when matches are on and always felt safe. Corporate events are also well managed and never had an issue with any event at the stadium.

I had a very pleasant stay there. The room is good, free wifi, nice breakfast and there is a gym with a small pool and sauna (I wish the opening times were longer).
Location is right on the football stadium, walking distance from the train station and shops/restaurants.
Loved the "hospitality tray" in the room with cocoa/tea/coffee powder and a shortbread cookie.

Stayed for 3 nights just after christmas. Room a good size and was kept lovely and clean throughout our stay. Did not notice any traffic noise. Free parking and shops nearby a bonus. Would stay again if ever in the area

I just spent two nights at this hotel. Very friendly staff, and the room was immaculate. Not a large room, but not small either. The leisure facilities are spotless and very inviting. I would definitely use this hotel again. I asked for a room at the top of the hotel so to dampen traffic noise down. They do have rooms over looking the football pitch, cost a little more, but novel....

Stayed overnight on a business trip. Hotel was perfectly located, within walking distance of Horwich Parkway. The check in was courteous and efficient. My room was clean, equipped and everything worked, including the TV and wifi. I walked round the corner to find a leisure and retail park. The cinema was fab so I was kept entertained. The next morning the breakfast was exquisite! Special mention to the hostess that morning who was professional, welcoming and helpful. The hotel shower was warm and powerful. Left feeling refreshed and less jaded than when I arrived. Will definitely be back!

A great hotel. Ive stayed several times over the last year and it's always been a comfortable stay. Food is very good, service is excellent staff are very attentive. Bedrooms are exactly as you see in the photos, beds are very comfortable, tv is good (signal never drops out like other hotels locally). I was able to sit on sofa in the bar area, have my dinner and work on my laptop.
The only let down was the gym. A lot of equipment has been squeezed into a small space, the floor is carpeted with thinning, stained carpet tiles. There is only one small mat to do any situps/stretches and the touch screens were frustrating to get going on running machines (row machine one didn't work at all). Less equipment and a wood floor would improve this greatly! (And maybe a sign asking the muscle heads not to drop the weights! Grrrr)
