This hotel was close to Bolton Arena where count for the election took place. Parking was very convenient. Room clean and tidy. Food in restaurant was excellent. It was the best 3 course meal we have had at a hotel. The service was friendly and attentative, as were all the staff. We have stayed at this hotel before on family visits but not used the restaurant. Having now eaten in the restaurant I would certainly recommend it.

Really nice hotel, very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Good facilities too. I will say that the room was a bit odd shaped and had WAY too many wardrobes and drawers, but I would definitely stay again. Overall, a lovely stay.

Stayed here when on a business trip, the reception staff were quick to book us in, the rooms were very clean and had everything you could need, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities and trouser press and free wifi. Shower worked really well which is a must for me! The hotel overlooks the football ground, so I guess you could watch through the courtside viewing windows if allowed but no match on when we were there. There is a swimming pool, gym and spa facilities, I used the pool and steam room and had no complaints the poolside and pool was clean, the steam room was missing a few tiles and was a bit dated but it worked ok.
We ate in the Brassieree in the evening and the food was beautifully prepared and nicely cooked, the service was slow but as we weren't in a hurry that wasn't a major problem, Jon our waiter was very helpful.
All in all a great place to stay, we will definately use again.

My wife and I stayed here for one night and we thought the hotel was great. We received a really warm welcome when we checked in and this was replicated in the restaurant and bar. We opted with a room overlooking the pitch and it was a brilliant view! The restaurant and food was good and the bar was open until late. Great location and loads of free parking. Would definitely stay here again if in Bolton.

I stayed here on a company booking as I was working in Bolton. My company uses this hotel regularly.

Check in was efficient if not over friendly.

The room was good enough but nothing special. However the bed was nice and comfortable.

Food in the restaurant was excellent if on the expensive side. Quality was good. Breakfast was also pretty good.

I would rate this stay 4/5 if it wasn't for the fact that despite asking for a wake up call it did NOT happen. This caused me problems as I was there with work and meeting a colleague sharp the next morning. Luckily I had my iPhone waken me up. I reported my dis-satisfaction the next morning and was expecting a voucher for a free stay or some sort of goodwill due to the problems it caused me. But I just got a half hearted apology which I didn't feel was good enough.

Overall a lovely hotel and a good stay but poor staff let this visit down.

We were a group of three, so had to have two rooms. Used the Trip Advisor booking facility and obtained a great price compared to other sites!! Highly recommend it for future bookings!! The experience at the hotel has very good, we stayed Friday night and not a home match weekend. I wish the hotel made more use of the pitch view example bar, restaurant etc. Breakfast was enjoyable so make sure you don't miss out, unfortunately ran out of time to use the Spa etc

Checked out this morning after staying for one night. On checkin there was no friendly welcome just very dull and plain. On arriving in our room it appeared to be pleasant enough. However on returning later in the evening it was roasting and the fan in the room was poor. Also as we hadn't registered a card on check in we weren't able to order room service. We woke in the morning roasting and in a panic as we had not received the alarm call we asked for and had an important appointment to attend. Something so simple caused us to be late for our important appointment! We rushed breakfast which was average but plenty of choice. On check out I mentioned our alarm call was missed and no apology offered. Average value for money but won't be back. I work In the hospitality industry and was not happy with the service we received at reception, breakfast staff were pleasant enough.

Stopped in the hotel at a cheap price and genuinely was so amazed at the bargain we got a brilliant football experience going for a swim, drinks and then into the away end of the ground so chilled and easy the 2.0 win did help, the hotel itself is nice clean and modern with excellent facilities would definately recommend.

We booked here as we were going to a wedding nearby.

This is a great hotel - our room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful - we checked out a little late as we were disorganised in the morning, but the reception staff were absolutely fine with it.

Buffet breakfast was good - plenty of choice of hot and cold options, and regularly restocked.

We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding, and being footie fans,it seemed ideal.
Cannot fault this place. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it is spotlessly clean!
We didnt have brekkie,we nipped out next door for tea at Pizza Hut (teenage children in tow) and we decided to buy it in from Asda which was still open at 9:30pm!!
the bed was soo comfy and even though the place was busy, was very quiet! the hotel is right next door to a huge leisure and shopping complex! Very convenient as we had travelled a long way! The hotel is easy to find..just look for the stadium. We had a wonderful 2 night stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone esp if you are a Bolton fan..(we are not) we saw the players arrive!

Reception staff very helpful.
Soundproofing could be better, early morning road noise is not insignificant and woke me early (5AM) every morning.
Breakfast ok, though can get busy and crowded and restocks of the buffet can be slow.
Bed reasonably comfortable, cleaners slightly annoying though; all my kit had been moved around and 'tidied' to somewhere else they obviously thought more appropriate during my day in the office.
Green credentials; the hotel had the usual 'please place towels in the bath to have them replaced' notice and despite leaving my towels on the rail intending to re-use, they were replaced anyway.
Bar, generally a good choice but surprisingly no Port!
Location, 5 minutes walk from rail and plenty of parking but not much to see in the near vicinity.

The main attraction of this hotel is the staff, helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. We stayed just for the one night in a pitch-side room (the hotel is part of the Bolton Wanderers stadium) and fully enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless, although a little tlc should be applied about the place as there were silly little things askew that picky travellers will pick up on, like bits of silver missing on the picture frames. The hotel was very busy as we had been to a ball, and when we got down to breakfast about 9.30, and they looked like they were struggling a bit. However, the staff service remained helpful and friendly. We would stay here again.

Spend one night in a pitch view room prior to a work meeting in the hotel. Room very nice, decent toiletries, comfortable bed, large towels and decent shower. Slight problem with the temperature and I do prefer a window that opens but that's just me.

Breakfast was okay, typical self service buffet, good cooked selection but more fruit would have been nice.

Evening meal was a set menu but was good. Lunch catering was excellent, good choice and plentiful. Easily the best hotel in Bolton

Everything was perfect. We stayed in one of the premier suites which had everything we needed, including full use of the spa facilities. Im a fussy bugger about food but I have say the food at Heathcote's was outstanding. Overall our time here this weekend was brilliant and the service can't be faulted.

We stayed here after watching a football match at Bolton Wanderers' magnificent new(ish) stadium, of which the hotel is an integral part. Reception was friendly and efficient, and the public area fairly vibrant with a post match clientele. I visited the sauna and the pool, where I chatted to a Bolton player relaxing after the game.

Our room was comfortable and well designed. We slept well.

Dinner was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good too. We then indulged in a bit of retail therapy in the very large Tesco Extra nearby.

The hotel is everything a four star hotel should be. We enjoyed our visit and felt well looked after and welcome.

Victor Meldrew time!
Whilst the bar food tastes very good, Why do I need to eat it off a chopping board. Presentation 10 out of 10. Practicticality 2out of 10.
If you make a burger and you need to put a stick through it to get it to the table what chance have I of eating it without it falling to bits.
Oh hotel is Fantastic and

I stayed here with one of my boys for a recent Bolton football match, i have to say that i was not let down. Our room had a view onto the pitch so we just watch it from our hotel room, so watching the game and also the tv in the room has sky sports news so could watch that at the same time. For watching footy this is a must, don't get this novelty anywhere else so its a must try. You have to pay £15 per person for the shutters in the room to be opened, thats the only down side to it as thou wouldn't expect to have to pay more after you have bought and paid for your room, but it is some sort of legal thing that you have to.

It is in a great location obviously being inside the stadium, but there is a large retail park about a 5 minute walk max from the hotel. Loads of shops and many different places to eat so you cant go short on that front, we bought drinks and snacks for our room to watch the game there, pretty much anything you want you will get from the retail park.

We did not make use of the hotels facilities like the swimming pool etc, but there is that option if you want it. You get free wifi in the rooms which is good as a lot of other hotels charge you for this.

All the staff were very nice and we had an issue which was resolved very well so i have no problems with this hotel and i will most definitely return here in the near future as we enjoyed it that much.

We stayed here on valentines day, just me and my husband. We arrived just before a match was about to start but was directed to where we could park with staying in the hotel. Check in was quick and easy and was told everything we needed.
Our room was very clean and nice, ironing and trouser press board in the room plus hair dryer. Considering there was a match on we could not here anything from the ground.
We used the gym facilites and the pool, everything was there that we needed.
The hotel is well situated for the cinemas, bowling and restaurants.
The only little problem was in the night we could here everything what the room either side of us were doing. Considering we couldnt here thousands of people at a football game but we could here every noice either side of us was confusing.
Breakfast was well organised. There was pleanty of staff and a choice of full english breakfast, cereal, toast, fruit and juice

We used to live in the Bolton area, so staying at the Bolton Whites Hotel was something we had never really thought about. However, we no longer live in the area so when a significant birthday event came up we decided we would give it a try.

From the moment we arrived we were made welcome, the reception staff were very helpful, explain some of the facilities and the quirky floor/room numbering, which proved very practical indeed. Rooms on the 2nd floor include rooms starting with both 200 and 300. On exiting the lift you need to go downstairs at the side of the lift, half a floor to get to the rooms starting 200.

The rooms themselves are small but well appointed, with a drawer in the wardrobe containing coffee and tea facilities. The bathrooms are also on the small side but effective, containing a shower over the bath.

The hotel has its own leisure facility containing a swimming pool and gymnasium. You have to get a code to get in from reception though.

Over the weekend a football match between Bolton and Watford took place and the hotel cark is used by visiting fans. Access was straight-forwards as we just informed the car park attendants we were staying at the hotel and they checked their list.

During this football match the accessing the hotel itself also requires you to pass security members, I include these guys in the friendly staff attitude as they were laughing and joking with us but also doing their job effectively, what a refreshing change.

The bar area is quite large and comfortable and despite the match we had no trouble finding somewhere to sit.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was not what I expected and despite being part of the Bolton Wanderers Football Ground it has its own identity and the staff make this a reality.
