It was my sisters wedding night and I'd recommended this hotel. They were very disappointed , there was no bottled water in the room and the wifi didn't work. They said they were having trouble with it but no apology . They knew it was there wedding night......just a little thought and care would have made such a difference .

We had a lovely break here after Christmas. The hotel is clean and spacious. Room was clean and tidy. The heating was good which we needed after a walk round the shops adjacent to the hotel. We had a lovely meal at Bella Italia which is a few minutes walk away. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed here as an alternative to much pricier Manchester hotels for a gig and visit. The rooms are fine, clean and well appointed. Pillows a bit hard for my liking but loved the mirror de-mister in the bathroom. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. Fitness centre has a pool, slightly odd egg-timer shaped, and steam room and sauna. Apart from the noise from the wedding party one night the stay was perfectly fine and I'd certainly start here again.

I stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night for one night having booked it fairly late through booking.com. Upon arrival there were plenty of places to park and the hotel did not look busy. The room was well clean and laid out with comfortable bed. There was also adequate working space should you need to work. I would prefer to have the television wall mounted as this would give more space in the room and free up the two tables that the television was sat on in the room but otherwise found it to be OK. The bathroom was clean and adequate for the overnight stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel was good value for money and I would certainly look to stay there again if I'm in the area in the future.

I have stayed here a couple of times for work and felt very comfortable. Staff are excellent attentive, friendly and professional. Food from Bar menu and breakfast both very good. Rooms clean and warm, bathrooms clean and functional. Plus you can take a 5min walk around the back to the Retail Park for some late night shopping, plus a number of restaurants make a great alternative to the hotel restaurant if you fancy a change.

My partner and i have just stayed at this hotel for a night. We were looked after extremely well, especially by Liam who works on the front desk, he made our stay absolutely wonderful and could not do enough for us. I am very ill and he went out of his way to look after us, that extra mile, thank you Liam.
The hotel itself is lovely and we had a great breakfast too. We used the spa facilities, i really enjoyed that. I would definitely recommend a stay here, you wont be disappointed !

Just back from this hotel and I couldn't rate it highly enough! The staff were brilliant, professional and friendly, the rooms were lovely and the facilities great too!
The only negative was the fact the lights and tv kept switching off in the room and there was a plug in heater instead of using the actual radiators. It's minor things really since we weren't in the room much. The location was ideal! We paid £88 for 2 nights over a weekend and were very impressed. I will definitely be back again later in the year :)

This is a hotel where you can combine business and a short break. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the breakfast selection a bit poor. The staff is polite and helpful but the wi fi is lost on the upper floors.

this hotel looks like it should be more expensive. It's built into the Macron Football stadium but isn't dominated it. As a new hotel everything works, is clean and nicely designed. There are plenty of places to break out and meet people or simply sit and relax without having to hide away in your room. The rooms are pretty good and better than say Premier Inn. This was a second visit and it was bit disappointing to find most of the restaurant shut, but still had a very nice meal sitting in the large bar area.

This is a perfectly decent hotel to stay at, but perhaps, not quite as good as its impressive surface appearance. Our standard room was smallish but clean. An irritation during our visit was the TV, whereby a message window kept coming up on BBC1 and BBC2 making their programmes unviewable - this was a problem for the hotel, not just our room. Doubtless this is now fixed but it was there for the duration of our stay.

Staff were generally helpful. Breakfast was OK but average. Overall I would, if I could, give this hotel three and a half blobs. I just don't feel it's quite up to a four on the basis of this visit.

As a birthday treat for my wife we stayed following a home fixture. Room was adequate no faults but rather small with a view over the car park. I appreciate the location impacts on the price and accept it without question. We did however have a wonderful meal in the restaurant later which I would highly recommend. Breakfast the following morning was fairly basic but satisfactory.
Cannot fault the restaurant or reception staff who were helpful and personable.Would I stay again yeah - the lovely meal made up for the room and breakfast limitations.

What a brilliant night my family and friends had at the bolton whites - we had the willy wonka party experience with approx 700 people bringing the new year in the premier suite. We also stayed over in the hotel. The staff were very pleasant.

Rooms are spacious and the breakfast was excellent. The black pudding was the best i had tasted.

A lovely classy hotel with great facilities and excellent value for money. Rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed and the leak sure areas are roomy with a nice ambience. Within walking distance of plenty of eateries and a shopping centre with free parking.

We were a party of 7 adults and 3 children and this year we were in the Premier Suite instead of the Lion of Vienna. On arrival we were greeted by a glass of sparkling Perrier and the room decorated in the theme of Willy Wonka. There was various food stations situated around the room. The favourite one being the desserts for the children. The menu was varied and catered for everyone we felt. The entertainment was a lot better than last year (same team no karaoke thank god) my nephew enjoyed their magic so much he spoke for days about it, my niece was also throughly entertained. My daughter who is 14 cheered at 11pm when the disco started so her night started then. All in all we enjoyed our NYE and will most likely be booking again next year depending on price as I feel it was priced correctly. All the staff worked very hard and were very pleasant and helpful throughout the evening.

I regularly use the hotel for business meetings and find the facilities ideal and totally conducive. Great parking and the Pure Bar caters perfectly for all business needs. Our national Head Office held regional meetings here also, utilising the Chairmans's Suit to great effect. There are many reasons to use the facilities at this hotel beyond those you might expect.

A party of 6 of us (family and friends) came to the New Year Gala Night and stayed at the hotel. We came last year and enjoyed it. We arrived at 2.30pm, expecting, after a long train journey from Wales and a walk in the rain from the station, to be able to check in. We had booked four rooms and two of them were ready. The other two rooms, however, were not ready until 3.00pm so we, and several other groups, had to sit around and wait in reception. Surely housekeeping staff should be able to prepare rooms for 2.00pm? Isn`t there a check-out time of midday?

My brother and his wife then, to add insult to injury, discovered dry urine stains on their toilet so, even after waiting until 3.00pm to get access to the room, it had not been properly cleaned. They did go down and complain at reception and, while we had lunch and drinks in the bar, the situation was remedied. We had a lovely lunch in the bar, but the prices are excessive!

The New Year Gala evening was better in many ways than last year. The Platinum Suite suited the occasion better and it was beautifully decorated. It was warmer and more intimate. The food was good and the service exceptional. We preferred the group last year to this year`s singer but that is just personal taste. We did enjoy our evening very much.

We also enjoyed our breakfast the following morning. We have used this hotel on a number of occasions, including the BWFC Lifeline Party Nights and have always been pleased with it. This was the first time we have had any need to complain.

We stayed over Christmas and we could not have had a better time. The cleaners were great especially as we had an 18 month with us who liked to hide Christmas paper everywhere. We have never stayed in a hotel over Christmas but we will defiantly be staying here again. We only had breakfast the once as we were out early the other days but it was really nice. We have eaten in the restaurant before and it's really good value and the food is brilliant.

Would really recommend this hotel as it's really well located even for Manchester

Thank you to all the staff especially Suzanne

A party of 11, 8 adults and 3 children came to the NYE family night.
I have been to the adults only night several times and had a great night, however the family night was a bit of a let down.
I understand why it costs so much for the ticket as your staff will want paying for working unsociable hours, but to charge ridiculous prices for cheap wine and unbranded spirits left a sour taste in all our parties mouths.
Almost 10 pounds for à small rosé and pint of lager shandy! Come on.
Needless to say we had no trouble getting to the bar as we heard lots of complaints about the price of drinks.one family from our party left around 10 45 because they were quite disappointed too.
The atmosphere was rather flat due to peoples disapointment about the drinks and poor adult entertainment that commenced around 11pm when a lot of the families with very young children had left.
And as a result we won't be going back. The only positive was that the 3 children enjoyed themselves.

I had my 50th party here in August which had a few issues with the event planner not the hotel but the response back to my complaint has been brilliant. I was offered a stay in the hotel which when we arrived on 27th December found we had been given a penthouse suite. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant again this had been offered due to issues on the party night with a celiac meal, Claire who manages it came out personally to chat to us, we were given excellent service and the food was brilliant. I would recommend it. The hotel is also in an ideal location to get to many places being just off the motorway. I would stay here again

Haven't stayed here for a while - we switched to neighbouring Premier Inn as the breakfast was hotter, cheaper and so much nicer. We decided to switch back for a night & stay at Bolton Whites. Lovely hotel, great room and facilities but - breakfast was (yet again) freezing cold! Went down at 8.15am. Only one other couple there yet breakfast bar was packed full of items which had been sat there for a VERY long time. Not only was it cold but bacon had gone dry and inedible and I almost broke a crown on the hash brown (sadly not exaggerating). Premier Inn wait until people start coming into the breakfast room and then restock the hot breakfast bar whilst people are getting tea and toast etc. I think staff at Bolton whites need to go for a premier Inn breakfast and see how it's done. But that was the only let down - great hotel and am sure we'll stay again

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night in December. All the staff were lovely and very helpful! We had chosen to stay at this hotel just to use the leisure facilities and these were great. The pool was smallish but it was not busy when we used it so it didn't matter. We used the pool at about 4pm on a Saturday. The room was great, the bed was very comfy and we had a great night's sleep! I would choose to stay at this hotel and maybe next time I would pay extra to have a view of the pitch. The breakfast was great, very filling and again the staff were very friendly at breakfast.

My only criticism would be that the TV in the room randomly switched itself on and off at times but we weren't too bothered about this!

You can also pay an extra £15 per room to have a late check out on a Sunday and check out at 2pm which I think is a reasonable price.

Attended a works Christmas party here , Rooms okay , bar inside the hotel was fairly decent but the function was outside and 300 yards walk away in the rain which isn't ideal at these rates. The Food , oh the dreadful food - there is mention of Michelin stars in the blurb about the Heathcote Catering , well , I would rather eat the tyres than the muck presented to us - Goosnargh turkey was rolled Turkey , grey coloured and odd-smelling , the spuds were piped ( two kinds , one had been shown the oven for 60 seconds) one carrot and some sprout shavings. Needless to say I didn't eat any of it and had to walk to the supermarket (more un-jacketed rain) for a pork pie and some crisps.
Breakfast back inside the hotel proper was half decent apart from the lack of service and the kitchen staff using the conveyor-toaster in the dining room for (presumably) the room service trays (don't you have more than one toaster?annoying to wait 10 mins for toast) even then it only worked on one side, taking twice the time and belching out smoke when people put bread through twice but didn't turn it over.

All in all not a great experience , and a really poor dining one at that.
