Overall very hard to pick any faults and would definitely be happy to return to stay again
Excellent stay the room was great for the money we paid for it and the facilities in the hotel were second to none. The reason I rated it a 9 was because when phoning for room service we were told there was only ham sandwiches left for room service and we would be better off phoning a delivery. This was rectified in the morning though because we were late for breakfast and the lovely morning staff went out their way to sort us out 2 huge English breakfasts which we really did appreciate.

Superb
Little disappointed with breakfast , as had to get cups of tea from the coffee machine ( which have done before ), but felt for price and as 4 star hotel , the tea and coffee should be served to table and the rest be self service? but realise current covid situation will have had an impact on hotel etc . Staff where excellent .

Stayed here for a 1 nights stay whilst visiting friends and did a bit of shopping at the retail park next door.
Good location right next to the M61 , hotel was clean and tidy with all restrictions still in place and well signed Staff were friendly and polite.
We found the hotel to be in good order although obviously it’s not 5* , breakfast was good with lots of choice on offer , team in the breakfast restaurant were again friendly, polite and couldn’t do enough for you ( young lady / manageress I think was outstanding)

Really good hotel….waking up with a pitch view on the eve of the new season was wonderful!
We came for the Football and a corner pitch view which was fantastic. Breakfast was good.

Convenient spacious modern hotel offering good food.
Pitch view room was well equipped and quiet, it also stayed cool during the day. Bar food and breakfast were strong points. Easy parking and good lift access.
Faulty hair dryer in room. No real ale in bar. Hotel is not fully air-conditioned.

Great family rooms
Family rooms very spacious for two adults & two children. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Kids said sofa bed springs were really uncomfortable and whinged…we slept ok though!

Third stay, but not blown away….
The staff were very polite and smart. The hotel itself is aesthetically pleasing and the view over the stadium is beautiful. The food was good and well presented.
The room I stayed in was freezing. There were 2 portable radiators to heat the room which took quite some time to warm up. The curtains are absolutely filthy. Full of dust and suspicious looking stains. They definitely need a clean! Also the chairs looked like they could do with a clean. It wasn’t the most comfortable experience I have had at Whites.

My wife’s originally from Bolton and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we come to visit family. The Tinsley’s from Northern Ireland! 👍

Staff is nice and helpful. But this is a 3* hotel. Maybe the suits with view of the stadium are better but our room was just basic. Heatwave in July 2021 and no air con in a room, not even a fridge but hey there is a trousers press (?!) lol 😆 Outdated decor of (?) aluminium foil covered picture frames. Room doors so heavy all you hear is slamming all around. Breakfast was ok. Not eggs benedict though. Sauce was pure majo. Cappuccino costs £3.75 at the bar. More than in Soho in London 😄

Overnight Stay
Stayed overnight in this hotel and enjoyed our stay. All staff and team were really friendly and polite , top marks. Hotel itself is in a fantastic location close to the retail park and M61 motor way links. Hotel was really clean and people were still adhering to social distancing. Stayed on a std double room , room was clean and tidy and we were happy with it, could possibly do with some modernisation but other than that it was more y to bay adequate. Had a nice stay and we would stay here again.
Bedrooms ( or some bedrooms) could possibly do with some modernisation.

Easy, affordable and comfy
It was clean, the bed was big. I also loved the late complimentary check out of 1pm
The decor in the bathroom needs updating, especially in the bath - there was implosion splattered in the tub and it was very old looking - not inviting

Break away
The bed was so comfortable. I had a bad back when I arrived , and it was gone when I left . Like the bar area, when you don't fancy going out . And staff were lovely .
Most of the TV channels weren't there . There was BBC1, BBC 2 and itv 1. No 4 or 5. The other channels were mostly missing too. We went and bought a dvd player and a few dvds. The Breakfast was good , apart from the poached egg Breakfast.
