Check in and departure were smooth and quick. The room was clean and the bed was good. The air conditioning was quiet and the room temperature comfortable. As usual, the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of food and drink at the breakfast buffet.

Hotel fantastic, verp clean, friendly staff and great location.
Visited on a number of occassions and have never been dissappointed. The leisure facilities are also very good. Could have stayed in there all day. Plenty to do at the middlebrook retail park.

Great value for money in the Penthouse Suite. Only thing that could make it better is bigger windows or nicer views. Brilliant service from all of the staff and the room service was exceptional. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great nights sleep in a lovely location.

Second visit to this lovely hotel. Pleasant staff, comfortable beds and free use of pool and sauna facilities. Comfortable lounge area on same floor as bar and dining room. Perfect for a relaxing drink. Breakfast excellent, only one slight glint but didn't spoil our stay dining room chilly but it was -2 and snowing outside. Will definitely return.

Can I just add this is just for the meal we had because we did not stay. We arrived at 12.45 having booked our table for 1.00pm.We were escorted to the lounge area where there was a table with our name on it.We then had a cocktail and was served delicious canapés. When we had finished we were taken to our table that had been decorated really lovely a good start to the Christmas festivities. We had to preorder starters and main courses, these were delivered by an extremely friendly waitress. The pate and salmon were delicious. We both had turkey for mains, this was presented in a bowl and was accompanied by bowls of roast potatoes and lovely vegetables, huge portions, I felt guilty that we had left so much. Dessert was a help yourself buffet table, we had Christmas pudding and then shared cheese and biscuits. Overall we were really pleased with the food, presentation, quality, quantity and the lovely servers were fabulous. Such good value for money, we have decided all ready to book for next year, hopefully if they sort all their problems out associated with the football team and they are still trading. It really set us up to enjoy the rest of the day. Thank you so much to everyone that was involved in providing a lovely experience.

The location was ideal for me as it's just off the motorway.
Lovely welcome from all the staff and very helpful housekeeping on my arrival.
As it's located at Bolton Wanderers football ground, some rooms overlook the pitch.
The hotel is modern and clean with good facilities.
The breakfast is good quality, served by very friendly people.

A nice hotel, but the rooms overlooking the pitch have no windows so the room was stifling at night. If you turned down the air con it became too cold! Breakfast was OK. Didn't have any other meals in the hotel.

Stayed here for a work conference and found it a nice comfortable hotel.

The room was a standard size and I did get a little confused where breakfast was (in the bistro is the answer!) but other than that it is handy place to stay if you are touring the north west.

A little confusing getting to the hotel as the postcode kept sending us the wrong way.The room was clean, comfortable and had a splendid view of the football pitch.
The restaurant served excellent food, although the service was slow and it was cold inside the restaurant.
Breakfast was without fault ,all in all it was a great place to finish our weekend in Manchester off with.

Fantastic hotel with a high level of customer service and courtesy. The added benefit of staying within the complex of the football stadium is always a wonderful experience. The breakfast is outstanding and highly recommended.

Had a 1 night stop here as was in Manchester day 1 and lakes day 2 so good location.
Hotel was lovely and clean, staff were really friendly and went out their way to make us feel comfortable.
The room was really clean and well laid out and the bed was huge and very comfortable.
There was no noise from the other guests throughout the night and we had a good sleep.
Well equipped, shower was really good which always helps.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and wouldn't hesitate on stopping again

I live only 3 miles from this Hotel,so normally I wouldn't stay here overnight. I had won a nights stay in a pitch view room at a Charity event. I e mailed the hotel for the booking and the availability, the reply was very prompt and booked without any fuss. On arrival we were greeted at the desk by Andrew who was very welcoming, and explained the facilities that were available, gym, pool etc.
Our room was pitch side, and could be used as a box on match days. The room was a decent size with adequate storage space, and was clean. A decent size bathroom, with bath and shower, again nice and clean.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant on the first floor, which I have used many times on match days myself. The restaurant is now run by Heathcoates, and judging by the food I have eaten in my friends box at the ground,it will be very good. The location of the hotel is next to a retail park with many chain restaurants there catering for all tastes from American to Chinese. I had my grandson with me and we had been to the cinema so could not eat at the hotel.
We went to the bar, and had a drink,I mentioned to the batman that my grandson had a sore throat and without prompting he made him a Honey and Lemon toddy which I thought was a nice touch.
After a good nights sleep we had breakfast, it was buffet style and was very enjoyable. I noticed that the food was changed often to stop it drying out under the warming lights. Again the staff were very friendly and smart in appearance.
I have been to all the hotels in the Bolton area and for the facilities this is the best, ample parking, which you can struggle with in the town center.
This is the place to stay if you are coming to Bolton.

My boyfriend booked this hotel for us as a treat. The rooms are very spacious and clean the hotel is stunning and well located. We walked around the stadium and there are loads of shops and places to eat. There was a fire drill at 4 in the morning due to some other drunk residents that spoilt it being stood outside in our pj's freezing for an hour.

We stayed in the delux room room number 712 , a very comfortable room with its own lounge area , seperate bedroom and huge bathroom . Very clean , very comfortable .
The room was very competitively priced , comparable with Lenny Henry's place around the corner but in my opinion 10 times better .
All the staff we came into contact with where very polite and welcoming.

We stayed overnight at the hotel as we were attending a function within the hotel.
Our room was large, clean and very comfortable.
The breakfast the following morning was freshly cooked and very tasty.
My only small gripe was the jacuzzi in the pool area was cold although when my husband mentioned it they said they would attend to it.

Well when it's not pouring down with rain missed my lunchtime brew at the top barn this last Sunday due to the bad weather . So we stayed long at the hotel the staff are so lovely and helpful they really make us feel we are back home :) Thank you Bolton Whites for another great stay see you soon :)

Had a great time visiting the hotel for 2 nights and the NYE party. Stayed in a penthouse suite on the 7th floor which is recommended for a small family. All staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

It's an interesting experience waking up looking out over the Bolton Wanderers stadium. It's a decent quality hotel, well positioned for exploring the local area, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance, there is also parking. The service was very friendly and the breakfast which was the only meal that we ate there was of a reasonable quality and plentiful. The entrance and stair case to the first floors are very well presented.

A party of 5 of us stayed here on New Year`s Eve and attended the Gala 007 Evening in the Platinum Suite. This is the third year that we have spent New Year`s Eve at the hotel. Check-in was prompt and efficient. Two out of three rooms were ready straight away and one quite soon afterwards. The rooms were clean and spacious. They were rather cold but there was a heater to switch on and warm them up quite quickly. Only full cream milk available on the hospitality tray, which is quite unusual these days, but we were given a small jug of semi-skimmed at the bar. The 007 Evening was very enjoyable. Georgia Holland entertained us well and the d.j. played a good selection of music afterwards. He also played requests which last year`s d.j. failed to do. We shared a table with another family this year, whereas we had a table to ourselves last year. The family we shared with were very sociable and we enjoyed their company. The food was, on the whole, tasty and the service efficient eventually, after a couple of accidents with broken glasses early on. One of our party was on a gluten-free diet and the hotel were aware of this and catered for her. Her only complaint really was that the potato rosti on her main course was so burnt as to be inedible, which was a shame. She did point this out on the night. Our only other complaint on a most enjoyable night was that the waiting staff were somewhat over-keen to clear the tables. My sister had 3 attempts to finish eating a bread roll because every time her back was turned her bread roll vanished. A waiter cleared away a glass of red wine without asking if it was finished. Again we reported this and were given a fresh glass of red wine to replace it. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet the next morning and check-out was quick and easy, apart from the fact that some other guest had signed for a bottle of water and a bottle of wine and given one of our room numbers. This was sorted out quickly.

Having stayed several times in the days when this was run by DeVere we always had good food and service. Sadly on this occasion something went terribly wrong with our food order (which still seems to be largely based on the old DeVere menu, even though the hotel is run by the footie club) Staff didn't quite seem to know what to do, other than to offer us a free drink, but no real apology or information. Fortunately a Club Director was around and apologised profusely and the Duty Manager then sorted things out. I wasn't entirely happy with the reasons given (a large party) as the car park was more or less empty, but they did address the issue in a way we were happy with and so it would not put me off going back.

Leisure centre is nice and the pool warm. Staff are pleasant and so maybe with a bit more management attention to the food side of things this will be great again.

A really excellent hotel. I was here for one night for a party in the adjacent function hall. There were a lot of parties and I was concerned that late night noise might be a problem but it wasn't. My room was spacious and well planned.
As it was only an extra £3 I decided to order breakfast in my room. My cooked breakfast arrived in time and very hot. Delicious.

The staff here are excellent, friendly and attentive. I stayed a couple of nights on a football weekend with a pitch side room, the view from the room was amazing, (but do remember you can't watch the game from your room). My tip is to get back to the hotel bar as soon as the game is over to watch final score and mingle with the home and away fans and soak up the atmosphere.
