I booked in for me and my sister. Arrived at the hotel and checked into our room which was really clean and well equipped with a nice bottle of prosecco ready chilled which was lovely. Later we headed down to the bar for pre drinks before going through for dinner. Ordered 2 G&T's which came to an eye watering £26.00!!!! The bartender looked very embarrassed as he took payment for this. We went through for dinner, where we immediately realised on our package we could only order selected items off the menu and anything else would carry a hefty charge. Anyway we ordered what we actually preferred for which we then were presented with an extra £42.00 bill. Not quite the deal we thought it was!! Now the thing is we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately we will never return, due to the greedy nature of the hotel management and the position they put you in, charging London prices for a mediocre hotel in Bolton. Shame on you Emerson for ruining what could be a great hotel.

I had a Spa Day here today and it was so relaxing. Had a facial and massage and the facial was the best I have ever had. Many thanks to Nichola, her attention to the client was superb.

We stayed overnight at the Last Drop Village hotel as it was the venue of a wedding we attended, so convenient to fall out of the party into bed! I remember this hotel from about 25 years ago. They have added a spa since then (although we did not use it). It is still a sprawling site with bars, shops and bedrooms spread out over a number of buildings.
The staff were excellent - engaging and proactive. But the place is tired (despite some obvious investment in public areas). I guess our room had been refurbished since I was last here 25 years ago, but apart from a flat screen TV I could not really tell. The bed was really soft, a tell tale sign of a certain vintage. Breakfast was OK, but unremarkable. Its public areas may attract lots of visitors, but the bedrooms are 3-star average.

Excellent food and superb service from Franco and his team in the Courtyard Restaurant & Bar.
We had a party of 22 for lunch on a Saturday afternoon in late April 2019. We had lunch and drinks in a private dining room. This gave us plenty of space for the kids to move around and allow family to “let their hair down”.
We felt really looked after and attended too with all 22 meals being served together, piping hot.
After the meal we were made equally welcome in the Courtyard Bar where we enjoyed more great service and drinks. Grandparents and older family members were able to enjoy looking out of the big windows in the bar seating area to watch the kids playing in the fields and grounds of the hotel outside.
Great venue coupled with brilliant food and service. A big “thank you” to Franco and his team for a really memorable afternoon and evening.

This was our first time staying here. We will be returning for sure! Check in- easy and fast. Rooms- Basic but clean. Large comfy beds, large television on the wall. Hair dryer and iron with ironing board in the cupboard. We was asked if we would like to book a table and have any spa treatments. We didn't require any. The pool is large and sectioned in half. One half for lane swimmers only, the other half for family's. A collection of saunas and steam rooms. All clean. The infinity pool is the highlight of the stay. The weather was terrible, The infinity pool is nice and warm. We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere.

I have been staying at this hotel sometimes twice-three times a week for over a year. I have to say that the Reception staff are just fantastic, all of them are, however in recent weeks Anna has been so very helpful helping with certain bookings and just giving a really nice welcome. I re-iterate, all the reception staff I deal with are absolutely fantastic all of the time, service never dips, attention to requirements is always on point and it's because of this that I don't stay anywhere else in Bolton. As mentioned previously, The Last Drop is leaps and bounds above all other hotels in the Bolton area. If you can check in as early as possible and enjoy the facilities you will not be disappointed.

Nice room, good attentive customer service. Card and birthday message was a lovely surprise. Spa treatments were excellent although as it was all pre booked a robe would have been helpful. Food was pretty good to although my boyfriend had the seafood linguine and said it was a little bland. Breakfast wasn't buffet style for the hot things as described but still tasty nevertheless. Relaxing stay in pretty and well maintained grounds.

Was quite a lengthy process to book in as the spa was fully booked but I eventually got an appointment. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances I arrived 8 minutes late for my appointment. The desk informed me that it would be deducted from my treatment time. I made my way to the spa which was deserted and waited for about 5 minutes. When my therapist arrived she asked which treatment I wanted as there was only time for one 25 minute treatment. My booking was for two 25 minute treatments so being 8 minutes late meant I’d lost a whole 25 minute treatment. At this point I decided not go ahead and asked if I was being treated differently because I was a Wowcher customer. The therapist and staff politely assured me that all customers are treated the same and offered for me to still have one 25 minute treatment. I as told that the spa was fully booked and back to back appointments but it was deserted. The whole point of a spa visit is to relax. Although the staff were professional and polite I felt penalised as I was 8 minutes late and lost a whole treatment. The spa manager has since been in touch but just reiterated what the staff said. I paid £39 for my voucher but didn’t feel comfortable using it after being over penalised. I felt sorry for the staff as the policy of back to back bookings is great for business but not so good for the spa guests.

This is a little gem of a place. The staff are all very welcoming and it is always clean and tidy. The food is very good and the breakfast team led by Leslie are consistently good and look after every need. I woke up with a sore throat and they bought hot water, fresh lemon and honey to the table with my coffee and breakfast, nothing is too much. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The gym and spa are also fantastic with an open infinity pool. It’s one of those place where you feel at home but with attentive staff to look after your needs. If your in the area it’s a must stay. Thanks to everyone there, I stay there on business every month, it’s close to a network of motorways but it’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be tranquil.

Had such a lovely day at the last drop. The staff made such an effort to ensure everyone made the most of the bank holiday weekend.
So much to do for the kids and a relaxing time in the sun for the grown ups. Special thank you to Nicola and Lucy.

Stayed one night. Really nice hotel, friendly staff at reception, room was fine.
Best thing was the Spa. There was a decent size swimming pool, 2 types of sauna, 3 types of steam room, a well equipped gym and .....an amazing outdoor heated jacuzzi with jets, waterfall and views of the countryside.
Dinner was served in a nice restaurant, my meal was fine however my wife had to send her main meal back as the vegetables were quite cold. Ordered a bottle of White wine and had to ask for an ice bucket , then was left to pour myself.
Breakfast was buffet and , although we came down around 8.30, it was clear that the food had been there quite a while.
Overall we did enjoy our stay, without the spa I would have given only 3 stars.

Top class service from the Last Drop throughout the whole of our wedding planning process. We decided to get married here last January 2018 and our wedding was 13th April 2018. From the moment we contacted the Last Drop to view the venue right through until the end of our wedding the service was great. The wedding team were always contactable and would pass emails onto another planner if they were unavailable. We had some confusion over room bookings etc throughout the process but all turned out okay on the day. They were more than accommodating for dietary needs - they provided us with gluten free meals (bride and groom plus 2 others) and these included everything the regular meals did and also accommodated the children and vegetarians and vegans. Everyone commented on how fabulous the food was - it was piping hot for all and the portions were huge. At the food tasting session we had to check these were the portion sizes that would be served as they were huge! We attended a few of their monthly wedding open evenings and all the staff were friendly and informative. We were given a conference suite to get ready in as there were 8 of us plus hair, make up and photographer and this was plenty big enough. We were able to check in early too on the Friday before the wedding as they understood we had 6 dresses to hang in the room. The rooms could do with a bit of updating but they were clean and fine for the amount of time we were in the them. The breakfast was good and the atmosphere in the hotel bar on the Friday evening was great. The hot buffet st the wedding went down a treat and everyone was commenting on how great the staff were. Nikki was overseeing our wedding that day and was then at breakfast the next day! Being able to use the spa was also great but not much to do after a couple of hours unless you book treatments in.

I stayed have here on business 4 times now and always found the place very clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. They are the best thing about this hotel. They cannot do enough for you.

The Executive rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable with nice comfy beds and large flat screen tv’s. I will definitely be happy to stay again.

The food is adequate but nothing to write home about. I ordered an ‘artisan’ granary cheese and tomato chutney sandwich from the bar one lunchtime I was visiting... and the bread was dry and looked and tasted like the left over regular brown sliced bread that is used for breakfast toast.

But on the whole it is a lovely place to stay.

This visit, however, I was rather surprised by some of the clientele. Firstly, and this was not the first time this has happened, there were people in white towelling dressing gowns and hotel slippers having evening drinks and meals in the hotel bar. All a bit weird... I know it’s a spa hotel, and the restaurant full of such clad people at lunchtime having afternoon tea, who are obviously on some package, is one thing.

But you would have thought the management would insist that people are fully dressed in the bar of an evening when the bar is full of business people and other guests having dinner. Instead there were several people wearing nothing but nail polish and a robe and slippers sitting in the bar at 7pm.

Secondly, on this visit, I was greeted at Reception by being told “good luck; we have 160 teenagers from Ireland coming in tonight for 3 nights. Sorry”.

The teenagers arrived in two coach-loads as I had dinner in the bar. Within minutes of arrival, they were all over the hotel, in a highly overexcited state at the prospect, no doubt, of being away from home unleashed for the first time with minimal adult supervision... making a lot of noise and basically not observing the fact they were in a quiet, adult spa establishment.

The good news was they were having their meals in a separate building. Ideally, they would have been sleeping in separate buildings to the regular guests too- as the hotel’s bedrooms are located across several separate buildings.

However, I was told the issue was that they were all sharing rooms so needed twin rooms, and these twins were located randomly all over the hotel, not in one place. So the teenagers would be dotted around the hotel for the duration of their stay. Again “Sorry. There is nothing we can do”.

So each night, after 7:30pm when the teenagers finished dinner, they were running feral all over the hotel: shouting, screaming, door banging, running around. And this went on late until the evening. I could not watch tv in my room quietly in the evening due to the noise coming from the bedroom below mine where it sounded as if several had congregated for a party.

I understand that a booking of 80 rooms for 3 midweek nights must be lucrative - but how could a quiet country spa hotel accept such a booking at the risk of upsetting all its normal guests, without having a means to separate the younger guests from their usual clientele?

The poor staff did their best to stay on top of the noise - they even said at check-in “do let us know when you hear noise as we have to try to stay on top of it”. But, as I understand it, when they had a lot of noise complaints on the first night, they approached the teachers and were told “well, at the end of the day they are still just kids”. So the teachers basically abdicated all responsibility come the evenings.

These 160 younger guests should have been staying in a dedicated youth hostel or similar, not a countryside spa hotel.

Last night at 8pm the teenagers are running around on the grass outside my room making gutteral screams. They were having fun - which is what they should do at that age... but I was on business and needed a good night’s sleep in order to function the next day. If I had any idea the hotel had taken this booking, I would have stayed elsewhere. The younger guests were totally unsupervised at night and doing exactly what they wanted and disturbing all other guests. Disappointing.

As well as the normal guests, I felt very sorry for the poor staff who are doing their best.

I love The Last Drop but feel this was a bad call.

We had our wedding here on 7th April 2019 and it was AMAZING. From initial booking right through to the very day everything was handled with extreme care and attention, all staff we had the pleasure of meeting were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. I feel a big shout out is necessary to Jacqueline who couldn't have helped us feel more comfortable when planning our wedding details and ensuring everything ran smoothly during the morning of our wedding. As soon as we found out the wedding make up artist wasn't coming, Jacqueline started to call round to find us one last minute she is a credit to you. Nicola took over for our ceremony and wedding breakfast and we couldn't have asked for more, anything we needed be it guests directing from one place to another and helping ensure all our food came out swiftly nothing was too much for Nicola. Ryan then came in to see of the night time reception and he was extremely helpful, anything we needed came to us promptly and he even arranged for our gifts and belongings to be taken to our room he couldn't do enough for us. Also a massive shout out to the staff working the whole day, all the waiting staff and bar staff did a fantastic job and credit to the folks in the kitchen as they put on a fantastic afternoon tea.

I have uploaded some photos from our wedding (I hope Nicola and Ryan don't mind) we told them to make use of the photo booth and they made it extra special :)

Thank you for hosting our special day you helped make it so amazing.

3rd time visiting this hotel and gets better everytime! Beautiful location, staff lovely rooms big and spacious, pool is also amazing. Would 100% recommend. Food in restaurant is slightly overpriced and bland. A quaint “village” behind the hotel with shops and also a pub.

Rooms are lovely, very clean and staff are nice. Outdoor heated pool had an amazing view. They offer a number of different walking routes available online. Food was lovely, pricey but worth it. Some rooms located outside so if the weather is bad you get wet heading the to the main part of hotel.

Stayed here last night. We had a wonderful time as always.
The Last Drop has a wonderful bit of magic about it.
Not been well for a couple of weeks with a chest infection came for some TLC.
Really happy with our stay again.
Room we had stayed in before and bathroom has been updated in the court yard.
Very pleasant surroundings and can see all the work that’s been done in reception.
Food amazing as always and service fantastic.
We have been here with family as well as friends and on our own and just love the place.
We have tried other places but always come back here we love it.
Have used the spa on previous visits but not this time as we had to get back home. Would recommend facilities here too. With pool and 5 saunas, and heated outside part too.
Wishing well and shops inclusive of a Tea room and bars.

I have stayed at this hotel for two weeks as I’m travelling for work, it’s by far the nicest hotel I have used for the 10 weeks I’ve worked in and around Manchester. The food is excellent and room service is very quick. The room is very clean and comfortable and perfect for a good nights sleep. There are supermarkets local and good walking routes. I have used the gym and leisure facilities three times and I can’t fault them at all. But to top the whole stay off is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful, I’ve never met such professional staff in a hotel before, the members that stood out the most were Alicia, Aaron, Aiden and Ryan- Ryan helped me pick the best bland of scotch whiskey the hotel had in stock deffo 5/5 for service.

Spent a night there with my husband and daughter in an executive family room, includes complimentary drinks and chocolate. Big room for extra bed, newly modernised room. Spa facilities very good and we spent about an hour in there. Shame about the new housing estate that is being built as it ruins the views. Great friendly service at reception and the Irish manager very welcoming and helpful. Bar service a bit slow. Very very busy hotel, lots of weddings and functions going on. Breakfast very busy, service poor, food not great.
The village area is very odd, quaint, not really sure how to describe it. If in the area, I would certainly stay there again
