ideal stop for walking, or just admiring the view. there is a viewing point where you can look along the length of the cliff, a cafe, and a local history board, showing the natural erosion of the cliffs

An amazing place with wonderful coastal views and walks. Worth going down to the beach to see the vastness of the cliffs too. National Trust shop and toilets.

Sadly there has been more cliff erosion since our last visit. There is no plan to save any more fall to save housing and tea rooms etc - the cost to The National Trust would be enormous.
However, there were several coaches, most from abroad, and crowds were milling around either down on the shore accessed by a staircase or on the cliff walk areas etc.
The views in both directions is great

We've done the Seven Sisters/Beachy Head/Birling Gap walk a few times now but today was exceptional. Lovely warm day with good visibility. We walked along the beach to Cow"s Gap and did the (approximately) one in three climb to Beachy Head. Amazing but knackering.

Oh it's just lovely! Dramatic vista and so nice to sit on the stones and have the sea rush up towards you. Well worth the stop.

Be prepared to walk miles after a bus stop or your own rental from Seaford. The train station lady is very helpful with directions. The dont have a concise town routes to the cliff. Just walk along the shores and prepared to hike uphill for a short distance till you reach the Coastguard cottages, Here you lose your breaths away at the Seven Sisters.
Bring water and a snack.

We started our walk from Exceat VisitorCenter, in rain and heavy wind. The rain didn't last long, so we enjoyed the view of the sea to one side and the rolling hils to the other. After 2-3 hours we had a cup of coffee at Birling Gap before going inland, to the tiny village of East Dean. Recommended!

Amazing views. Relaxing, i felt perfectly safe even with the cliffs being so high up. Big car park with lots spaces. Parking ticket required. Ice cream van always parked there to add to a lovely day out. Public loos in Car Park. Clean, tidy & free of charge. Recommend walking shoes as steep hills. You can see Eastbourne, Bexhill & Hastings Coastline. Perfect in Summer. Can be windy in September /October. I truly recommend for relaxing your mind & body.

. Intersting information available in the musium. Lots of steps down to the beach but well worth the climb down as the views are spectacular.

Birling gap offers a cafe, shop, museum and loos as well as access to the beach via 50 steps down a steel staircase.

The seven sisters, names as they were said to look like nuns in their hats, is an area to be admired and enjoyed being world famous.

Called here on Friday as part of a coach trip. The cafe there was very busy and was confusing what queue to be in to order food and drinks as there were 2 queues and no one knew which queue they should be in.
It seemed one group of people were waiting for their hot drinks and people were stood behind them waiting to order their food and drink. I walked out and came back again when it was less busy and clear where I should place my order
The views were lovely and we were lucky with the weather...I wouldn't rush back but I am glad that I have been.

Breathtaking scenery and no matter the weather it’s alway invigorating.

The walks are not strenuous and there is plenty to seem especially the wild horses.

Walked here from East Dean. Last chance to eat ‘n drink, before starting the up & down & up & down walk to Eastbourne. Fresh air and wonderful views all the way. Bit exhausting, but worth every unforgettable moment.

Great views of the chalk cliffs and a stiff uphill climb to Beachy Head can be made if so discredit. There is a gift shop and cafe here too, but be warned you may have to park somewhere tricky on the main road if the car park is full at busy times.

Following our visit to Beachey Head, one just wanders down the road to Birling Gap - parking can be a problem so arrive early. The view from the Gap is outstanding - and famous! If you think of the 'White cliffs of Dover' this is probably the best view you will get of the cliffs. There is a restaurant and shop there as well but rather spend your time walking down to the beach and up the hill - and don't forget your camera. It is a wonderful view - well worth the effort. Highly recommended.

Very nice picturesque coast & hill - downs Jurassic coast walk. Nice seaside architecture & gardens. Easy access by train or car to Eastbourne where you can start your walk from. I have done few walks there with my friends & family member who visited me in UK. You can feel the real holiday/ weekend relaxing atmosphere there.

A perfect time to visit. Not too many tourists, scenery changing to Autumn status with the low cloud over the sea, take your camera and get fantastic photographic pictures. One of the best time of the year for ohotos

The chalk cliffs at South Downs National Park, known as the Seven Sisters was a scheduled stop on our trip. We drove down from London for the day. The view as you walk along the top of the cliffs was amazing! Then traveling to Stirling Gap you can go down to the beach and walk along the bottom of the cliffs. Such a relaxing day admiring the beauty of the cliffs, countryside and ocean.
