Good WiFi, modernised room, comfy bed, nice large room, friendly welcome, no mattress protector (was surprising), plenty of sockets near bed for devices. Great breakfast!

Hotel is lovely. Just needs some much needed TLC The floorboards in the bedrooms were really creaky.
The radiators were in desperate need of a good paint and care. The bathroom is desperate for a revamp. The bath thats is boxed in and not in use. but looks like a coffin.

Friendly staff. Hotel on the sea front. Breakfast was good.
For the money it was good value.
Would advise paying a little extra for sea view though! We knew what to expect from previous reviews so nothing more to say.

Location and staff great. Very good breakfast selection. Onsite parking. Refurbished room
Dust and cobwebs in the bathroom and bedroom. Unsightly cracks in the walls and ceiling, along with visible / shoddy wiring. Lovely newly refurbished room, but the wooden window sashes looked ready to fall out. Hotel is over 140 years old, but it needs some love and attention.

Nice place to stay this is my 3rd visit this year.
Good location, straight across from pier , a few minutes walk from shops / restaurants
Only a 10 minute walk from Train Station
Value for money, good breakfast but a few tweaks could make it better. Would have prefered mushrooms as an option at breakfast insteaf of black pudding.
A varied choice of yoghurt pots would have given a better choice instead of 1 big bowl

Staff was lovely room was fairly clean we asked for extra pillows and 1 pillow each wasn't enough and we got the extra pillow but 1 had a blood stain on it but other than that it was good

Seafront room was lovely. Great view of pier and seafront. Clean room, good size
The bathroom was a bit disappointing. Very cheeky floor and bath/shower wasn't particularly nice. Grout was stained and didn't look nice

Our stay at the Birlington Hotel Eastbourne
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was very good for us . The entertainment was a bonus . The room was spacious and had everything we required , the public areas were clean and tidy.
I decided to put these comments in this box unfortunately the hotel is old and it requires some TLC , as the rooms are spacious they do get hot and uncomfortable at night , maybe a fan .

Beds comfortable The shower needs fixing, as it doesn’t stay in place, so my daughter with special needs struggled with it.
The room was soooo hot and the window wouldn’t stay open.

Great location. Moderate facility. Perfectly acceptable for a short stay.
The location along the channel coast is incredible. My view was terrific.
The entire facility looks very tired. Carpeting is worn. Windows are drafty and hard to operate. There are no electrical outlets next to the bed. Elevators are claustrophobic.
