Great location! Great location. We had the cheapest most basic room and it was clean, en-suite and had tea/coffee and tv. Breakfast, dinner, bar and entertainment were there if you wanted them. A bit dilapidated; the hall carpets were in need of a deep clean.

I had a small comfortable single which I was able to keep warm with the very convenient oil filled electric radiator. Hotel is a bit tired but the public areas were smart and comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly and the entertainment was great with Anthony.

After reading the reviews I really didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. Great big rooms, comfy b Beautiful old building right on the seafront, perfect location for exploring. Lovely sized rooms with incredible views across the seafront & pier.
The staff were friendly, especially the breakfast room staff.
Small lifts
Shower didn’t drain very quickly

Staff pleasant unfortunately hotel and facilities very tired Seafront location plenty of hot water Unfortunately the room was very tired with no mattress protector or topper.
The room had cracks in ceiling and the bathroom fittings were dated. It looked like the rooms have not been updated or decorated since the 1970 period. It didn’t feel particularly clean!.. Unfortunately road works and the demolished building attached to the property along with the gathering of “ smokers “ did nothing to enhance the appearance of this once impressive hotel. Having grown up in Eastbourne it’s a sad reflection on the decline of the seafront and the town in general.

The Property need a update..! For 2026 if they want Great business. It was very close to the beach and pier also the shopping area wit lots of restaurants. The staff where lovely but the let down is the decoration..! The outside really needs a good coat of paint and it would really stand out as vegetation is growing on the front of this hotel. The Burlington Hotel and it would get a lot more buisness as it’s in a Prime Position.

Staff were helpful and accommodated my gluten free resident When arriving at the hotel there was no clear sign to say where the ramp was. I had to leave my resident outside the front of the hotel to ask staff where the ramp was, staff was very helpful in showing us where it was and offering us help. The first rooms that where given to us, we couldn't find it and there was little steps all around which my resident with a four wheeled rollator couldn't go down. The staff were very helpful in swapping there rooms over and still making sure that the rooms were still together. I would have preferred if one set of the steps at the front of the hotel would have been a ramp instead of having to walk through the hotel restaurant, however the staff were very helpful.

Perfect location and good value. Didn't eat in the hotel. Location is excellent. Our room was a good size. In our room (443) the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly and the cold water tap for the bath/shower didn't work so shower was very hot.

Brilliant sea view! The view was amazing! We had a good view of the sea and pier.
So close to the high street with many good places to eat.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious.
It's my second stay at the Burlington and would definitely stay again!
Unfortunately, the radiator in the bathroom could not be turned off as it's got stuck over the years. I must mention it was also very hot weather as well at that time.
But the staff did help by opening the window as much as possible. There was a fan in the room, so this helped.
The staff were all lovely, which to us is very important. They are all friendly and helpful!

We had two weekends at the Burlington. Booked a Superior Sea View room - 218. Lovely room, but completely spoilt by poor housekeeping. The carpet was absolutely filthy, could not have been vacuumed for weeks. There were empty coffee sachets on the floor, two lots of tablets scattered, obviously somebody's medication, and also in the bedside drawer, the previous occupants ID card. The second weekend, we had room 307. Once again, lovely room, but spoilt by poor housekeeping. Once again, the carpet needed a good clean. We let the housekeeping go in once to "tidy"!! The bed, well, that was hilarious, the bottom sheet had not been touched and the duvet literally just pulled over the bed. The tea tray had not been replenished. As it was a superior room, I think too, we should have had replacement water and biscuits, which we did not get. The bins were absolutely filthy. In the bathroom were cobwebs and black mould over the window, The housekeeper must have been in the room, literally, 2 minutes, at the most. There is obviously no senior management to check on these "housekeepers".

It's such a shame because we found the Reception staff so nice and helpful, all credit to them. The food was excellent, breakfast being tested each morning for correct temperature. Very convenient position, right on the front. Car park - well, we managed just to find a space both times, but there are so many cars in there, I wonder if they are all connected to the Burlington?

We shall certainly not be returning to the Burlington again, I was glad to get home to our clean house!!
