Great afternoon at the Eastbourne Pantomime seeing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Typical panto humour which appealed to the whole family. Theatre is a bit dated but clean. There should be a rule though that customers who have seats in the middle of rows should be made to arrive earlier than us on the ends

Good show, good value

Fab panto for all the family. Really well con-temporised with music, fireworks, jokes and audience participation. Best I've seen. 7 and 5 year olds loved it.

Loved Snow white and the seven dwarves. It was such a funny panto. Who thought you could have so much fun with 5 toilet rolls. You have to see it. This is our 4th year of pantos here and they are always so good. The whole family can have a laugh. There is humour for the children and adults. It was a great evening with my daughter and 2 grandsons. Its a lovely theatre and i think well loved. The actors are amazing at what they do. Great family fun. Its not christmas without a panto. We will be back here next christmas. 😃

We took my 3 1/2 year old grandson to his first panto. It didn't disappoint and he was enthralled throughout despite it lasting for more than 2 1/2 hours.
Hugely entertaining.

Another good year for the cast in 2016 with a very funny but slightly odd panto. As usual the laughs came thick and fast but some of the serious dialogue was a little tiring and long so we found our attention wandering. The dwarfs were very odd - children's bodies with huge plaster cast heads as a depiction of the dwarfs but then the dialogue was that of older men and played to the audience via the speakers. Strange. Shame we didn't see Denise but the lady who covered for her was great. early days and I'm sure they will learn more lines as the show goes on - its still very funny when they get it wrong!! We'll be there again next year. Thanks for the smiles.

Went to see the opening night of 2016 panto, well done everyone! Superb performance, loved the sausage scene and the 12 days of Christmas scene, did not go last year as we did not fancy Peter Pan, but glad we went this year with our three kids, age range from 8-14 years! Been many times in previous years, and I would say this is one of the most enjoyable, along with beauty beast starrring the late Nolan sister. Already booked front row for next year!!Opening night!!!

What a lovely little theatre, did not notice any shabbiness, appeared well maintained with friendly staff. Perfect place to watch a quirky well acted matinee performance of Raffles. It was worth going to see, a very entertaining way to spend the afternoon. Even the loud snoring from an unknown person near the front did not distract the actors!

We stayed in Eastbourne for a few nights and visited this absolutely gorgeous theatre. The staff were so helpful and opened, an easy access door for my husband. The play was stunning. What a find.!! Please do go and see this gem of a theatre. Built in the late 1880's it is pure delight.

Had a wonderful time at the Wednesday matinee of "Don't Dress for Dinner". The cast had us in stiches. We appreciated the opportunity to see the show in this historic setting. The city of Eastbourne has done a wonderful job at preserving this theater.

We stayed in Eastbourne recently and were delighted that we had booked in advance for a murder mystery play. The theatre is a real delight and the play was superb. Sadly, the audience was very small but those of us who did see the play enjoyed it very much.
I suspect the close proximity of the much larger Congress centre perhaps does have an effect on audience sizes.
Nevertheless, we had a wonderful evening watching a play by a touring company that we have seen before in the theatre in our home town.
I would most definitely recommend a visit to this theatre, most enjoyable.

There are several theatres in Eastbourne but i always wanted to visit this one. I was not disappointed it was a lovely old theatre by the sea. We watched a thriller which was quite entertaining and we stayed for both acts, However it was the theatre itself with its faded Victorian velvet seats and gilded boxes which were the real star. The safety curtain had a delightful tableau of late Victorian seaside promenade painted on it. Would happily go back again - a lovely example of our theatre heritage.

We went to see the very amusing 9 to 5 production. Great traditional venue with good visibility. We really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

of a murder romp, with lots of hidden identities, larger than life characters, and lots of wity dialogue all enthusiastically performed by a great cast; some well known names, but all with great pedigrees. The venue itself is a great example of a Victorian theatre, well maintained in the original style and makes for a great atmosphere. Check their website for more background. Compared to bigger venues along the south coast pricing is very competitive. Staff are polite and helpful; they do appear to really enjoy what they are doing which is always a good sign for any event. Don't dismiss it because it is small, you will enjoy

I've enjoyed many shows here, tickets are less than half the price of the west end. The theatre has loads of character and the staff are always great. Perfect for a weekday treat

Took grandchildren to Peter Pan Pantomime recently but was a bit disappointed it was too long too much singing and dancing not enough fun for kids to join in, story line poor. The Nana dog had great costume but only had a small walk on part? Kids enjoyed some bits but got bored with others, sorry. Not like the ones I remember as a kid.

This year the Pantomome is Peter Pan and as always it was a fantastic show, we have been going to this Theatre for the Pantomime for the last 20 years and there has never been a bad production, the whole cast are great and put so much enthusiasm and energy into the show , we had a fantastic family visit with an age range from 77 down to 8 years old and everybody enjoyed it.

Another year and the Panto, Peter Pan, continues to be well produced and good. Special effects were excellent. Not my favourite of the past 5 years but do not put off, you may well enjoy this story. Felt the "dame" should have had a bigger role? The "baddie" just wasn't bad enough!

The theatre is small and with an old, warm feeling.

Seating in the stalls give great views and with ample leg room.

Book in advance for next year...we will.

I took my 2 children to see the pantomime Peter Pan yesturday. I can only urge you to go and see it. It was the best we've seen and we go every year but usually to Tonbridge wells. We will now be supporting the Devonshire Theatre from now on.
The performance was very professional, but very relaxed and extremely funny and entertaining!

Went to see Peter Pan at this Theatre this week. The theatre is proper old school and feels (in a good way ) like a step back in time.

LOVED the show. Haven't seen many pantos but this was just amazing fun from start to finish. Highly recommend the show and the theatre

What a fabulous show - great laughs, typical panto with a few mix ups and prop malfunctions. The theatre is cosy and intimate which keeps the audience involved in the action so the atmosphere here is always great.
We go every year and look forward to next Christmas!!

We visited this theatre on a recent trip to Eastbourne. We saw Before the Party with Tom Conti & Gwen Taylor. The play was very good and set in a lovely theatre. Good value for money.
