A great day out especially if going with children but really fun for adults too. The animals are active and generally on show so no searching empty houses and there are timed displays such as the penguin and Lemur feeding, which adds another dimension. The animals are cute and adorable in the main so very appealing, Fennec foxes being arguably the lovely. Merkats are hilarious with their inquisitive natures as are the otters. There's a great mix of animals to ensure all will see something they like. The food was great you can visit the burger bar, the cafe or eat at the cafeteria which offers children’s' meals as well as salads and proper home cooked foods. Plenty of parking and easy to reach, you can’t fail to enjoy. Kids and some adults will love the miniature train ride and the wonderful play ground which is more like a fun fair!

Make sure you have enough time here if with children as once they get to the play park they will want to stay for a while...a fun and educational animal park that is definitely worth going to.

If I was just talking about the zoo, Drusillas would gain a certain 5/5. They pack so many animals into one space and the Zoolympics seem a seriously amazing idea as do the little fact flaps around the site. Sadly however, some of the things were not as good as they should be.

No1 - THE ADMISSION - This cost £36 for a family of 4 which seems a lot for a zoo in a cold winters day.

No2 - EXTRA CHARGES - For example, I think it is unacceptable to charge an extra fee + a diposit for a game of golf becasue the entry price is high anyway. Also, I do not see why you need to pay £1 to put something in a locker near the play area?

No3 - FOOD AND DRINK CHARGES - All of the food we had was of outstanding quality but the prices certainly were not. A jacket potato with salad set you back a whopping £6.75 and even a pot of tea was £1.99 (I think £1.00 would be acceptable). Drusillas would be so much more successful if it could master the art of selling teas cheaper as it is really cheap to produce. Other food was expensive too.

Overall, Drusillas zoo was excellent and I will certainly visit again but could only manage it once a year because of the expensive entry and food prices and extra charges.

This was our third visit to Drusillas Park and it never disappoints. Our three year old is Peppa Pig crazy so we timed our latest visit to be when Peppa was at the park. The park has so much to offer with a fantastic assortment of weird and wonderful animals that are kept within fantastic surroundings and are clearly very well looked after.
As well as the animals there are plenty of attractions both inside and out with soft play areas and not forgetting the Thomas the tank engine train that takes you around the grounds.
The food options are also very impressive for children and adults alike ranging from sandwiches and salads to freshly prepared hot meals.
I would recommend the whole day at the park as there is so much to see and do.
It also provides great value for money and as a family day out its pretty hard to beat.
We will be going back very soon!!

I was really impressed with this zoo! They had a wide range of unique animals who were clearly well looked after by the zoo. There was an exciting environment for both older and younger visitors with lots for little ones to do and see. I would recommend this zoo to anyone and will most definitely be going back myself!

Drusillas is great, loads of animals, they are mostly small ones like Lemurs, Meerkats etc. no Lions, Tigers or Bears (oh-my!), but you do get very close to the animals and the enclosures are designed to make it easy to see most of them, unlike some of the bigger zoo's where you come away with photos of mesh or bars rather than animals. It is quite expensive, but we get the annual passes and that does work out a lot cheaper. I did notice somebody on here complaining that they have now stopped you paying for just the play park bit, we have been going for about 10 years now and have never seen an offer for just the play park??? Either it was a looooong time ago or they are thinking of somewhere else!

This has to be one of the best days out in East Sussex if you have young children. Our two young girls thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. We enjoyed it so much that we have purchased yearly memberships which if you are planning to trurn on a regular basis is fantastic value.
There is so much to see and do I don't know where to begin. The staff are friendly.
My children loved the Creepy Crawley exibits. The Discovery Centre allows the children to actually handle many animals and creatures. Lots of playground climbing frames etc the kids can play on whilst mum and dad sit down and enjoy a rest!

The park is fantastic for children (especially young children) and the use of primary colours are really vibrant and engaging. The zoolympics is also a brilliant idea and very interactive, allowing children to be interested in learning about what they see around them. However, I did not give them a 5 because although most animals had a fairly decent amount of space, there were some enclosures that were scarily small for the animals. In particular the animals in the petting area were very miserable and cramped.

Drusillas park has a brilliant start with a wonderful web of wandering pathways through a maze of interesting animals who seem has content to look at you with curiosity as you are at them. There are lots of fun hands on things to touch and test yourself along the way. I liked the zoo-olympics it was good to see if you had what it takes to take on the animals. After walking through an amazing collection of animals the park lead into an adventure play ground which caters for every age. To top it off there's a friendly thomas train that takes you around the whole park.

If you are looking for a full day out with something for ALL the family, then you would struggle to beat a day at Drusillas.
We were recommended this by a friend and loved every minute. The combination of animals, features, rides, play parks etc is great and our 2yr old and 5yr old didn't know what to choose to go on - spoilt for choice!!
Facilities and staff and great and we did feeding of the penguins which was great fun as well as being educational
It was quiet when we went but even during holidays I don't think large crowds would be an issue as there is so much to do
Thanks to all at Drusillas and see you soon

My boyfriend and I went to Drusillas a few weeks, I was excited to see how the Zoo had changed as my last trip was about 20 years ago. We were both incredibly surprised by the extensive selection of animals and more importantly how happy and well looked after they all were. We found Drusillas to have a really warm and friendly atmosphere and attractions to suit all ages and keep everyone entertained. The play area at the end of the animal enclosures was extremely well kitted out with something for everyone, particularly the Thomas the Tank Engine train which we enjoyed a ride on! I would strongly recommend taking your children, friends and parents to Drusillas for a truly fabulous day out.

I have been going here since I was a kid and whilst it's not the cheapest day out it improves each year...

Oddly since I had a kid and purchased annual passes it had become an almost weekly day out.

If you are local the £55 per person annual pass is a must buy and offers superb value.

Food is basic but good in the restaurant

One thing I have noticed is this place is super tidy. Well done.

In all good staff , fun exhibits, sheds loads for kids makes for a good day out.

We went to Druscillas in early October and had a fantastic day out. We'd been before but didn't do the zoo bit - this time we did that first and it was great. The kids loved it and lots of interactive bits for them to enjoy. The Thomas train was a bit hit again as was the playgrounds and indoor soft play activity centre. We still didn't get to do it all on our 2nd trip, so no doubt we'll be back again. Only wish we lived a little closer so we could go more often.

We are regular visitors to drusillas as we have annual passes. There is so much to do for all ages. The outdoor play areas are safe and there are separate areas for younger children. The zoo section is extensive and informative with lots of interaction. There is a large paddling pool area with lots of areas for relaxation. There are other things to do such as golf and a large slide but unfortunatly there is an extra charge for these unless a gold card holder. The plus points are that there is so much to do, there is a constant update and reinvestment so everywhere is clean and safe and there are many places to get something to eat and drink. The only downside is that it does work out to be an expensive day out for a family with the entrance, food and drink and extras. The staff are well trained, polite and helpful.

This place is really excellent, the animals are great because you can actually see them; the interactive things around were really interesting. Our Grandson is only 22 months but he had a lovely time. The play area is exceptional, all very safe and lots of fun, I would highly recommend this place .

We took our grandchildren today and although we though it was expensive it proved to be well worth the money. It was always a favourite when our children were small and now it is bigger and better with lots more different species of animals and birds and the play area was fantastic, we had to drag them away in the end with a promise to visit again soon.
