What a great place to visit. The owner of this pier does himself proud and should keep smiling in spite of what a small minority say to him about his efforts at making Hastings pier an ongoing, commercially viable proposition. We need more entrepreneurs like Mr Gulzar who are prepared to put themselves out there to make Britain's seaside towns better.

Following the fire back in 2014 the pier has been bought & supposedly rescued by a local businessman. This gentleman was very quick to splash his trademark gold paint about but as far as I can see, that's where the improvements end. The lamps on the poles where blue rooms was are still there despite having warped & melted in the heat of the fire! Almost every building on there is an arcade of some sort or another apart from a little gift shop, a glass blowing workshop & a little restaurant. Even the old Atlantis nightclub is now an arcade & what a cheesey dump of a place it is too. All the nightclub lighting, decor & signage is still there but with the addition of a dozen or more 2p machines, pool tables & a handful of other arcade machines. In my opinion the pier has completely lost its identity & looks like it's heading the same way as Hastings pier which I believe is also owned by the same chap.
