After a fire destroyed the front part of the pier, it is now open again to the public and the Georgian tea rooms are great for teas, cakes and sandwiches, nice to walk to the end and back

It is great to see that money has been invested into this pier by the new owner. It is an iconic attraction in Eastbourne and the views from the end of the pier are amazing.

Took a walk to end, it seems there nothing on there, aa bar looked empty, bit fishing, old arcades, a tea room that look gwade and it.

Apart from the view there is not a lot to say about the pier. If you are interested in gaming machines or gift shops then this is the place for you. Apart from that forget it.

Great fun on the 2p slots, kept the children amused for an hour. Not a lot else apart from a chippy and a tea room.

This is one of the original piers around the British coastline and it’s well worth a visit.

Unfortunately many of the old buildings on it were burned in a huge fire a few years back but it’s been restored really well and in a nice day, it’s really lovely.

It’s ideal as part of a walk along the wonderful promenade.

Strolling down for a lovely pleasant walk from The New Wilmington Hotel, past the old bandstand to this lovely traditional pier. Such a clean and well kept town

The pier is free to enter and has the traditional shelters along the centre. There are plenty of shope for your souveneers and a lovely bar (1901) at the end serving both food and drink.

Stunning scenery
Britain at its best.
It’s nice that Eastbourne provide so many vantage points where you can sit and take in the breathtaking views. Plenty of bench seating perched at the best spots

A well kept pier, roomy yet having interesting shops and a Victorian cafe there.

The Victorians built piers to have the experience of being on a ship without the rolling about. In todays modern technological era it is lovely that these older places are still maintained and enjoyed.

Much better than I had remembered, it's smart and inviting with some decent tearooms if you're hungry or thirsty.

Eastbourne pier looks beautiful from the outside but could do with some TLC. The arcade machines/play areas aren't very well staffed and without exaggeration probably half of the machines we tried to play were broken, blocked up or turned off. Most places are accessible but we came across a few shops and one smaller arcade section with no wheelchair access which was a bit disappointing, as others on the pier did have access. One shopkeeper said she couldn't have a ramp as people kept on falling over it, yet the shop next door had one successfully working. We did not have any food or drink this visit so can't comment on that. The glass shop is stunningly beautiful and well worth a visit, as are the breathtaking views out to sea. I'd advise saving your arcade/games money for somewhere else.

As with many piers today this is looking a little tired in places but retains its attraction. More than worthwhile taking a look at this piece of history

A nice little pier for a walk along, but I would stay clear of the arcades/amusements as there are little to no staff and they are not that well maintained. There is a nice looking tearoom but we couldn't get into it as it was full. We had fish and chips at the entrance which were nice if a little on the expensive side.

A lovely refurbished pier with an amusement arcade, sea views, sea air, a multi purpose cafe / entertainment space at the end, and don't forget to stop at the beautiful Victorian Tea Rooms. Various stalls, and a fish and chip shop are also there.

The amusements were very dark and not very well manned. The bar at the end of the pier was expensive

We'd been for cream scones some years ago so decided to go again. Before it had been something special with excellent serviceand wonderful scones & tea. thius time one waiter appeared to be coping alone and we told told that there were no scones left (althouhg it was only mid afternoon). The tea was fine and the cakes we chose were okey (nothing special) so it was quite disappointing.

This is a really great place to visit and the first place to pop into is the Chip Shop where their chips really are the best in Eastbourne. Forget Harry Ramsdens and places like that because the Chippy has chips which are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, but do be careful if you sit down on the Pier to eat them because the scavenging gulls will try to steal them! There are also a whole range of gift shops (including a glassmaker who will make something to your design), cafes, a restaurant and amusement machines. Great place to.visit.

Walking up the pier, we first said to each other how clean and relaxed it was walking along looking at a magnificent view & sunset. The bar in the centre was welcoming, & staff were friendly. We sat on bench people watching and enjoying the warm weather. Highly recommend.
