List a lot in ambience since the fire. Now just an open space - too windy or wet in bad weather and too open and exposed when very hot.
Lots of people flouting smoking and alcohol rules and no enforcement.
Pretty poor in terms of facilities.

Nice place. Café in the middle is nice. Not much difference like other piers (Brighton, St.Leonards). Seafront is nice to watch from here.

Found a sheltered spot and enjoyed the sunshine on this lovely old pier. The first section was damaged by fire but the rest is good.

They have done an amazing job of refurbishment on the pier since a section of shops were burnt down.
The space has been converted to an open area with benches for you to sit at. So grab your fish & chips and sit at the benches, enjoy. Just be aware of the seagulls who will swoop down & grab if you’re not careful. Well done to all involved with the refurbishment project, great job all.

Fabulous 4 days in this gorgeous British seaside resort with its fab beaches, attractions, pretty promenade with fabulous gardens, great pubs and restaurants. Our attraction and reason for our visit was the fabulous Tennis Tournament 🎾🎾🎾it’s a great venue with its band, 2 great grandstands and reasonable prices. You can watch the top players ( women and now men preparing for Wimbledon and you can get up so close when we’ll attended they are practicing ! Good range of good and drink venues and giant screen to watch. We had tickets for Fridays semi finals which were fairly priced and well attended but not overcrowded . We bought ground passes for just £12 on the Thursday a real bargain as we saw many stars practicing and 2 great double matches on court number 2 which was free ! We will be back next year !!!

Lovely early morning stroll along the promenade & then to the pier. Repainted and renovated since our last visit (& of course the terrible fire). Blue sky, light breeze and great company.

Not a lot on it
A tiny amusement Arcade with no staff
A glass shop
And a function room which I didn't get a chance to explore.

You won't miss Eastbourne Pier when you visit Eastbourne. The pier is relatively better in condition than many similar piers in England and can be seen distinctly outstanding from distance because of the golden tops, especially on sunny days. The surrounding is peaceful and bus stops right at the door step for visitors. It's good for slow walk both by eldely couples, couples on honeymoon or with small children. The path is clean and is suposed to be free from cyclist so it makes the place safer for pedestrians.

I would recommend it for couples and families alike. It's windy, but you get a brilliant view of a sky and the sea. There are places to eat nearby, and the amusements. I got my fortune told by Zoltar and enjoyed myself throughly.

It is a nice walk to the end of the pier and the tea room is very nice.
However all the arcades need work done on the machines. Some you just lose your money without anything happening and other do not work at all. To make matters worse there no attendants present to return your lost money. Just don't go near them a waste of money.

We visited Eastbourne pier last weekend.
We loved all the seating at the beginning of the pier great to sit to sunbathe or watch the world go by or people watching.

We followed a lady onto the pier that just purchased some doughnuts. Within about 40 seconds there was loads of seagulls surrounding her.

We walked through the shops - really impressed with the glass shop - excellent priced glass gifts.

We loved the cafe, really reasonably priced cream tea for £3.75 each. All inside great if the weather isn’t too great.

The amusements were a bit hot and miss. Some of the machines were broken and there wasn’t any operators around to advise.

Will definitely visit again - great few hours in the sunshine.

Of course this is a Victorian pier, so we must expect some disrepair. But the amusement arcade had no change in the machine and no attendant to help us, the Jazz venue place was in scruffy state and the condition of the toilets should be reported to Health and Safety. Otherwise it's a nice stroll with some gorgeous views. And the dome shining in the setting sun is wonderful.

Very nice pier, really like the new look of it. Looks very safe and nicer. And golden colour gives it more richness to Eastbourne

A lovely way to take a windy walk in Eastbourne, offering good views of the coastline on a clear day; a stroll along the pier is a quintessential part of a trip to the British seaside.

Although we didn't call in, the tearoom looked welcoming and there were plenty of souvenir shops selling trinkets and confectionery. The amusement arcade was too small to bother with though.

Standing on Eastbourne pier is a very similar experience to being in a water villa on stilts over the Indian Ocean, I'm sure!!

Not many left like Eastbourne Pier.
The perfect example of Victorian and Edwardian seaside resort buildings. Nicely renovated and rather glorious even under grey skies. A pleasure to walk around, and even still be able to buy a piece of rock!

I really enjoy being able to stroll onto the pier and watch the sea and enjoy the views. Great that you can access it without paying. Also the glorious golden dome is a lovely feature of Eastbourne.

Beautifully unkept lovely to see, unfortunately it gets locked at night but understandable due to B&S and the sheer amount of homeless in the area not that theres anything wrong with that it's just helps to keep it the way it was intended a Victorian masterpiece

Great place, made room for all 8 of us. Very reasonably priced too........
Would go again......
Be careful you don't bump into the huge chandeliers, it's a low ceiling!

I love a pier. This one is big enough and has a variety of eateries, shops and outside seating. There is something for every one here and it was free when we were there.
