We only used the pier to get a fish lunch, as it poured with rain for the whole of our visit which did not really put one into the mood for exploration, plus the fact that my wife has serious mobility problems .

I do think this place could be so much more. A lovely pier but it needs updating and bringing into the 21st century. It has a bar at the end which is pretty souless. A tired old cafeteria where the staff are severely lacking in customer service. It needs more attractions on it for the kids.

The venue is lovely, feels like your on a cruise ship looking out to sea! The staff were helpful and we were able to add our own decorations to make it a really special day. Plenty to do on the pier too if you have extra time.

Made some amazing memories here. This pier has my heart. I love walking under the infrastructure and walking on the nice clean deck too. Awesome bar at the end of it and a nightclub above said bar. Looking over the edge at the water is a most remarkable thing and means alot to me.

The amusements is just the right size, games and fun for all ages. Also the grabber machine that you win every time ensures no one goes home empty handed (and no arguing or crying siblings!) It is a shame it closed so early (7pm) when we visited in May as it was a lovely evening.

Beautiful pier for an English sea side experience! Well maintained with great views of the shore and sea. Many gift shops, restaurants and cafes.

After our day out in Eastbourne which included a very windy bus ride on the top deck we retreated to the comfort of the Tearoom on the Pier where we were served a delicious cream tea to consume at our own pace. The food was good quality and good value but the service was impersonal and off-hand. A pity in such an opulent venue.

My best friend and I visit Eastbourne this time every year for the British Music Hall Society annual 'Day by the Sea' event, which is AWESOME! Whilst we always have fish and chips on the pier, we've never found the time to visit the Victorian tea room which, I believe, is housed within one of the original Victorian pier buildings. Inside it's a bit like sitting in an old-fashioned fairground ride, with coloured lights on the ceiling. The views over the water are truly special, and the full Victorian cream tea was AMAZING! As my friend Caroline noted, we had proper sandwiches - not just dainty finger ones - scones with jam, cream AND butter, and a choice of yummy cake - we chose walnut cream and Victoria sponge, as well as a pot of tea for two. It was great value for money at just under £10 per head. We will definitely find the time to do it again next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the pier. As it’s not filled with rides, could have a relaxed walk and enjoy the views.
We were lucky to be there at the weekend when local market stalls are around. Amazing produce ! Great place for kids with the beach nearby. There a very short stretch of sand near the pier it’s mostly pebbles beach. We ended up with a bucket full of pebbles and shells. Definitely worth a visit you want a short relaxed outing.

Eastbourne Pier is nice enough - well looked after - with the usual amusements and F&B outlets, some nice photo opportunities. Not much to see - but should be done regardless.

Good way to wile an hour away with the children, lots of 2p machines with good selection of tat prizes to win.
Lovely little glass making shop which sells a variety of well priced items you can watch them make.
Good souvenir shop with a great range of things to buy

The pier is aan ideal place who want to while away some time when the weather is inclement. It has one arm bandits, video machines and the like. If the weather is good you can sit on thepier and look out to sea. During the daytime it frequently is inhabited by youngsters. Though I haven't beenin the evening I assume people go there for the end of the pier show.

Not much on the pier these days.
Worth a stroll to the end and back on a sunny day.
A bit inclement in the winter.

I witnessed along with the rest of Eastbourne the great fire on the pier but since being taken over I do love the open space as you walk along the pier and it is good to see family eating and laughing in the picnic tables!

We spent the day in Eastbourne and our friends suggested we visited the Victorian Tea room on the pier.
We ordered the afternoon tea which was very enjoyable, however the service could have been more professional.
The one thing I did not like and was very surprised it was allowed from the health point of view, was the toilet which opened out onto the tearoom itself. The loud pop music playing on the pier was in my opinion and my friends unnecessary.

I love bad taste and this it. Bright fake gold paint, chandeliers Disney would be proud of and cold wind whipping over the boards. Signs telling you what you can't do and more cold wind at the end. Go back the way you came, the lee side. The cafe as organised as a wool tangle. What's not to like?

Not too much tat here and a pleasant place for a stroll. Reasonable food options and a bar or two, so well with combining with a promenade stroll.
