We had tea at the Victorian Tea Room and wandered all along the pier. Very pleasant and quite well maintained. Would be a 5 if there were not quite so many signs saying " don't do this...and don't do that"

Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Some great little shops along it and what looks like a great little tea rooms.
The arcade at the end are a little lacklustre, so maybe save your money.

I attended a wedding here in the Ocean Suite and it was an excellent venue, ideal for a small wedding, the view of Eastbourne and the sea were a really nice backdrop to my friend’s special day

This is a lovely free pier it has seats and benches everywhere for you to sit.
It is in need of a clean and a tidy on the cosmetic side but don’t be put off it is still worth a walk to the end.
If you can grab a bag of chips from the chip shop at the front of the pier. Delicious and it may seem like not a lot but it is more in that bag than meets the eye. £2 a bag.

Really nice for a walk in a sunny day and to get some nice pictures taken too but very few things to do apart from that.

Lovely atmosphere and especially when the sun was out it was very pleasant and enjoyable. Many arcades on the pier somewhat ruin it but they are really fun none the less. In general the pier was very clean and looked lovely in pictures

It is often very windy when you walk round the pier. There are a few shops along the pier and a nightclub at the end. Gives a nice view along the seafront

What a lovely pier, just beautiful and a great atmosphere. Especially like the Jazz Lounge, they serve good beers and ciders, the staff is nice and the vibe is calm.

The pier is a lovely place to visit with an arcade and places to eat. There are seating areas so you can eat your own picnics. The tea shop makes excellent tea and coffee. You can laze away the day in the deck chairs if you wish.

If you are looking for amusements there is only a small arcade. Be careful as it is very dimly lit and they left a low level forklift in the middle of the room when we were there, you fell over it before you saw it as surprisingly it is not something you expect to come across!!

A very blustery day when we visited ,was glad to get into a lovely cafe on the pier where we had homemade cake and brilliant hot chocolate while sheltering from a heavy shower of rain. Will visit in summer next time.

Must visit the pier. Looks very well kept and a lovely tea room makes the visit worth while. Gift shops are very reasonable and lots of interesting glass to buy.

the renovated pier has a good look about it from the shore -- well renovated and very pleasant to explore.
apart from the usual pier attractions , there is an attractive tea shop that caters for afternoon teas , cream teas etc,-- it is only a short walk to the end of the pier where there is a large seating area , shielded if it is windy and is a good place to relax on a sunny day.
at the moment there is no charge to enter the pier and well worth a visit.

Beautiful pier that delivers stunning views of both sides of Eastbourne. Very well maintained and freshly painted. No entry fee either!

Appears to be a well looked after pier but seems to be lacking atmosphere although we did like the glass shop and also the gift shop - both of which sold items at very reasonable prices.

Since the great fire which threatened to wipe out the pier for good, and the improvements made subsequently by it's purchaser, Eastbournes very own eccentric millionnaire Sheikh Abid Gulzar a lot has been said about how it was poorly managed and maintained by its previous owners and the improvements and plans made by its new owner. We are a fan of the pier and think it now looks better than ever, painted up, repaired and with plenty of seating on a large decked area. We miss the old amusements arcade but Mr Gulzar has used some empty units to site some 2p machines and whack a moles etc so there's plenty so see and do still. Good oldy worldy cafe, tat shops, bar and chippy remain, and the odd appearance by brass bands, this is everything a pier should be. Not big enough for large rides but there are a few smaller ride on machines for children to enjoy.

It was a shame that the fishing platform and anglers shop were done away with but there are plans to run boat services from the end which would appeal to more people and if the Sheikhs plan to start charging admission goes ahead, it would be no different to the old days when a small entry fee was charged and he says it would be small anyway.

Its owner has a thing for gold paint and lions, evident in the seafront hotels he also owns, which seem to divide locals, some say it looks gaudy and tacky, others like me think it makes it stand out.

It's never looked or felt better on the pier, make sure you allocate an hour if you're visiting to having a walk along, or buy a bag of chips from the chippy at the entrance and enjoy trying to keep seagulls from nicking them!

A day out to Eastbourne traveled down from Tonbridge via Saint Leonards Warrior Sq.by train it was also nice weather on the day. Road work is going on out side the Station. Lots of shops, restaurants, of all types. Walk to the front towards the Pier and walk on Eastbourne Pier with restaurants, shops, slot machines, bar, rock and fudge shop. Tea room. With views. From the front of the Pier a sightseeing tour that runs for about 50 minutes via Eastbourne Seafront, Beachy Head, Birling Gap, Lighthouse, and area. Hop on Hop off open top bus, every 30 minutes. Enjoyable. Fish and Chip lunch, good price and tasty. A walk along the front past Hotels, bars, restaurants, the Redoute with kids play areas towards the Sovereign Harbour. Plenty to see. Bowling greens, views of the sea. Enjoyable walk on a lovely day out.

Definitely worth the walk to the end of the peer. There are benches to sit on stores and penny arcades to visit. If you want there is also a dining room where you can have high tea. We walked daily to the end of the peer.
