Lovely pier with stunning views and a variety of eating places and a old fashioned tea room in the middle of it .

We walked on this pier a few times . It’s not a long pier and has a gift shop , rock shop, cafe and arcades.
We did get ready to visit one evening but were disappointed that it was shut even though it was the school holidays.
It’s worth a visit and has free entry.

First time we have visited for a number of years, certainly the first time since they had a major fire. Although it is sad an old building and part of the history was lost, we liked the new open deck area, just needs a few more seats in that area. Worth a visit.

This is a decent length pier which has a cafe, shops and a few small amusement arcades on it. It is pleasant on the eye and free to enter and pleasant place to enjoy half and hour especially in the sun.

Compared to its sister pier at Brighton, the Eastbourne pier is simple with a main arcade at the end, a teahouse in the middle and a chippy at the start.

I would add the arcade is not well maintained with machines not well stocked and change machine broken.

Its located right in the middle of the royal parade and provides for good views across the long pebble beach of Eastbourne.

Aside, not too exciting.

It’s a lovely pier but it’s lonely- not sure if it’s cos when we went ( week before Easter) but nothing open, lots of newly painted but unoccupied units

What a lovely vintage pier to visit whilst in Eastbourne, collection of a few shops, not too expensive and the views are fantastic

We went to play in the arcades. Not as big as expected but it was still lots of fun as they had a good selection of games.

The whole place is in great condition which is makes it all so much more enjoyable.

Nice for a stroll around but not much here to say a “must visit” location. Standard arcades and tea room but missing that WOW factor.Great views of the seafront from the far end.

Lovely looking pier but could be a lot better for entertainment, there was nothing much to do for any generation

A lovely place to look across at the beautiful surroundings. Good place to pick up ditto train and other siteseeing tours.
Avoid the machines. We used at least 4 that swallowed our money with noone on duty to get a refund!

The pier is a typical British seaside pier with the usual gift shops, cafes, a pub, rides for children and amusement arcade making for a pleasant enough walk. But the clock chiming out the time is a bit of a nuisance especially as our hotel was opposite the pier!

The sun was shining and the gulls were screaming and mewling. Our walk on the pier was just pleasant. Nothing happened. Very quiet. Nothing to do. It was clean!

The pier and most of the shops were great. The little souvenir shop was a gem with a very helpful lady assisting us in finding what we were after but the 'pub' near the end of the pier really could do with a good clean and a barman that doesn't serve you with one hand permanently in his pocket. The Guinness was undrinkable and the seats sticky.

The slot machines at the end of the pier are not good value for money and the whole place looks scruffy.

When we walked back along the pier at around 16.45 the bar, the cafe and the doughnut and ice cream shop was closed. Surprised that they closed this early especially on Mother’s Day when there were still lots of families about.

Eastbourne Pier was a great place for all age groups with a lovely tea room / glasswear gift shop that has reasonably priced gifts and a talking telescope with some local information about the area that you can see through the lens of the scope

On our visit to Eastbourne we took a morning stroll down the pier it was very spacious with lots of tables & chairs to have picnics, also lots of seating to while away the day.
There was a very nice tea room half way down the pier, we did not sample on this occasion, but it looked impressive with chandeliers.

There are a couple of rooms housing slot machines, but no other entertainment was visible. There is a bar at the end of the pier where you can while away a few hours, but this was not open.
