I am embarrassed to admit , on previous trips to Eastbourne we have totally ignored the pier
After today l will admit it was our loss. It was a great way to be able to look back at the beach. Truely amazing

Possibly the finest pier in the country due to it's classic Victorian style, although suffered fire damage a few years ago.
In the typical Eastbourne Victorian seafront, complimenting the Bandstand, this pier is ideal for relaxing in the sea air. Well kept, and maintained, without two many, if any fast food outlets apart from a Fish & Chip shop at the entrance, which does not in any way spoil the ambience,

This lovely pier is in keeping with the rest of the Seafront in traditional Royal Blue and Cream, a lovely landmark, a pleasure to look at.

They are slowly bringing the old pier back to life, free admission, take a walk to the end and back, stop for a drink in the bar at the end under the Obscura Camera (which hopefully they will get enough funds to restore and open again to the public) Fun for all, from a romantic stroll, to fun for the kids. Take a stroll, any time of the year, you will enjoy it.

You can get perfect evenings or morning from the Pier. Is just a very nice spot of Eastbourne. I highly recommended it!

So, I was down in Eastbourne for the day, so if there is a Pier, you have to go on it, don't you. Eastbourne Pier has a bit of everything. Fast Food, Seating, Slot Machines, A Lovely Victorian Tea Room, Bar, etc. Also a couple of nice little Shops.

This is the first time we've been here without the dog as the pier isn't dog friendly. Not much open as still winter. Looks ok if you like this sorr of thing. The Victorian tea room looks fab. Next time.

Lovely scenery. Loved the colour scheme of the pier. Enjoy the brist walk as it was very windy on Sat. 2nd March when we made our first visit to Eastbourne.

The pier is perhaps Eastbourne's favourite landmark, but the town itself is well worth a visit. Arguably the classiest seaside resort on the south coast, miles better than rundown Brighton and with a promenade that is so beautifully presented throughout the year. With the influx of language schools in the town and young students to cater for it has long since cast aside it's old image as a venue for the genteel and retired and replaced it with a vibrant place with lots to do and lots to see.

We spent the day in Eastbourne on our recent holiday to Susses, and walked along the promenade. We came to the pier and decided to have a wander around for nostalgia sake on my part certainly. It had been many years since I had been on the pier and it was good to revisit it and see how it was holding up. Quite well I thought. I had fond memories of visiting the Victorian tea room with its ostentatious chandeliers. Great views of course and we spent some time watching surfers near the pier. Well worth a visit.

I'm glad they restored the pier, but it is a bit boring there's nothing to do, the arcades are a massive waste of money, the claw machines are so loose they'd never pick anything up. There needs to be more to do. The Victorian tea rooms are nice though.

My husband and I visited the pier while staying at a local hotel.
We enjoyed the traditional little shops, arcades and the bar on the pier is lovely.
We will definitely be coming back in the summer

Worth a walk if you are visiting although I struggle to get excited about it but it is pleasant.
There are some stalls/shops/arcades available.

I have not been to Eastbourne since the late 80's so when my daughter asked to go for the day I wasn't really sure what to expect.

I was very pleasantly surprised as the blight of decay that has encroached on a lot of South coast seaside towns was nowhere to be seen.

Impeccably clean, bright and vivacious are a few adjectives I could use to describe present day Eastbourne and the walk along the grand pier was delightful.

The local council and businesses should be very proud of what they have achieved and long may it continue.

I have plenty of great memories with my friends going to the pier and playing in the arcade. The pier was never perfect, it needed a lot of work done but it was so iconic and fun to hang out at that I didn't mind so much. Since the fire a few years ago, the arcade section is gone which I'm sad about but I'm pleased I still have my childhood memories from that place.

Traditional pier offering great sea view. We went in February half-term break as a family and it was a great day out.

We came for a family holiday with our 2 children and were staying in the Premier inn just down the road. We were pleasantly surprised by the price of parking £1.50 for all day. We parked close to the beach and walked along towards the pier. Would highly recommend stopping for tea and cake or scones at the victorian tearoom on the pier which was also reasonably priced, with very pleasant staff. This was our first ever visit to Eastbourne and it was very enjoyable we didn't want to leave and would certainly visit again 😊😊

Well the maintenance its fairly good. The food and cafees could be changed very poor. And why in earth are the roofs gold fake? If I owned that pier I should do anything to attract a very good restaurant owner because the views are amazing. It gives a very empty feeling though. I guess the mosk is nice inside!

It’s a nice pier for walks with friends or family. My daughter really liked it and I’m sure we will go back there next time we are in eastbourne. They could just tidy up the pier a bit as some places look really tired and need of some diy.

We sat and ate our chips from the chippy on the benches on the pier. There are plenty of seats, a tea room and various little holiday shops, ice- creams , pub/ restaurant where people could sit out and the food looked ok. It’s reasonably restored-but the lantern lights were not and all broken which was a shame. Slightly underwhelming.

Well well well. Its' free! Yes, honest, you can go somewhere for FREE. OK Ok so its's a pier but thats the beauty of it. You can just stroll along. Think your own thoughts in the sea breeze. Look out towards the sea or in towards the sea frontage and along the coast. Somehow things stop feeling so bad? The modern everyday pressures dissapear. And for families theres all the favourites. Doughnuts, chips, chocolate and of course the games rooms. Wether your a 2p machine addict or want to get that teddy, it's all there for you, Then just stop off for a coffee before its back to the 'real world'.

We went off season in February but there were still some souvenir shops open and the Victorian Teaooms for coffee.

It all looked a bit odd with the scaffolding up outside but luckily for us they seemed Monday to Friday workers. Lovely fish and chips in a crispy batter with fresh chips Bd mushy peas. Lovely.its almost opposite the pier so easy to find.
