I spent my teens going to the arcade on the pier. Such a shame it since burnt down but giving it 4 stars because of how iconic it still is.

We enjoyed a stroll on the pier, but were puzzled by the odd use of gold colouring all around so unauthentic British for this classy land mark. The nice tea house was a pleasure to visit.

Lovely clean and well maintained open space, with the usual attractions, great views and plenty of seating available, keep an eye out for the seagulls !

Very reasonable prices. Very fresh sandwiches. Made when you ordered. Slightly slow service but otherwise good.

Just an average pier, nothing special about it. Tea room is a bit pricey, lots of different 2p machines and and slightly bigger arcade at the back. Also a night club at night, found this out whilst playing pool.

Absolutely loved the pier for its cleanliness and seeing staff painting and taking a pride, especially compared to Brighton pier! The toilets on the pier were lovely, very well maintained and modern, none of the usual nasty smell! There is a tea room which was full when we went and very charming, there is an amusement arcade, it has a musty smell but it adds to the quaintness and history of the pier, many of the kiosks weren’t open but nothing to be miserable about, it’s out of season. We loved the end of the pier as you can take a few steps down to the end and be blown by the elements! Loved it, a nice relaxing trip

We visited on a cold wet Sunday. The gift shops were full of tacky shiny ornaments, the tea room was deserted and the staff liked bored, and the only excitement was the 2p slot machines!! The pier looks lovely from a distance but close up I was underwhelmed

Looks lovely in photos with the gold domes. Well maintained, the shops are a bit tacky though. Good views from all sides. The Victorian tea rooms aren't all that although they do proper tea with tealeaves.

Visited Eastbourne for two nights.
We do enjoy a go on the 2p machines.
The pier is well maintained and has eating and drinking cafe/afternoon tea place a pub night club and plenty of machines to play on in 3 different places. Nice flat walk to the end of the pier

Absolutely love the Golden Domes. I have to say... the Eastbourne Pier is getting prettier and prettier. The Jazz Restaurant on the end of the Pier very nice. It’s always nice to go there for lunch or glass of wine and enjoy beautiful sunny days.

A bit lack lustre but not shabby. A lot of work on going. Shame the club at the end of the pier is not open. I have fond memories of the N.H.S. nights (nurses and hotel staff) which were always well patronized.

One of the last.
Eastbourne Pier one of the last traditional piers to enjoy.
All the usual things to do.
Worth a visit.

Eastbourne Pier has endured a lot since it was opened in June 1870 including suffering considerable harm from storms, devastating fire damage in 2014 as well as being damaged by an exploding mine in World War 2. The pier survived although now in a different form to the original structure of 1870. The pier has an Old World charm and doesn't feel too tacky like some piers in UK, we have visited numerous times and enjoy the views from the end of the pier of Eastbourne and the coastline.

A large family group of us covered this pier at a relaxed pace. Several attractions (which some require upgrading potentially to attract more tourists during the day, and night), places to eat / drink and taking in the sights was enjoyable. I was impressed by the good engineering which has gone into building such a structure and has lasted a long time in no doubt rough conditions (thankfully not during our visit).
I enjoyed sitting down on a bench and relaxing. Free entry and very clean.

Enjoyed walking along this old pier. Some shops and amusements, but typical for the sea side. Very well kept.

We visit Eastbourne a few times a year and we love it. It is so relaxing and characteristic, it's a great place to go for a weekend.

It’s a shame Eastbourne pier has never been rebuilt after the fire. There’s now very little to do there for children and just a big empty space. Nice enough for adults but not really a draw for children.

The Pier is a great spot to stop for your lunch. It is quite windy but if the sun is shining it doesn't matter. Fish and chips and also doughnuts to be had at the entrance with a few shops further along. A really lovely tea room for if you want to be inside.

This is quite a long pier, there is a cafe, didn't go in but looked nice. There is the usual slot machines. The clock on the tower at the end was broken and not all the lights at night lite up
