I enjoyed walking on the pier, but the shops and entertainment were not for me! The pier looked outstanding with the sun setting in the evening.

As described by Bill Bryson it's one the best preserved old sea side piers. The end section was closed in March. It's got the lot!

Great icon of the Eastbourne seafront. Great to see it's been restored and looked after since the fire

Always try and take a walk on the pier. It has been extensively refurbished since the fire and is now looking good. It is kept clean and always provides a pleasant walk.

Usual arcades but also a lovely old fashioned Tea Room which we visited whilst out for the day. All had tea, coffee, cake and scones, was delicious.

Today my elderly parents & I visited Eastbourne & had a wander on the Pier. It's not as lively as Brighton Pier - it's much more old school & reminiscent of days gone by.
I can see why Eastbourne pier is popular with older people & little children.
Great views from the pier to Eastbourne.

Beautiful views from the pier. They have a lovely fish and chip shop at the front and opposite this, is a sweet/ice cream shop that sell an array of sweet treats. The arcades are okay, not alot of choice, but more for the children (a few adult machines). If anything gets broken in the arcade or you lose your money in a machine, you have to tell the people in the chip shop so they can call for someone to come and fix it. The shops along the pier are nice, selling souvenirs, and pretty little gifts. At the end of the pier there is a nightclub and a pub/bar next to it selling beers, wines and cocktails.

If you need a nostalgic trip, and a walk in the past, then look no further than Eastbourne Pier. It will rejuvenate childhood memories and rekindle the adventure of walking out to sea on a dry platform. Well worth a visit.

The beach was really nice and the view at late night was fab. The kids enjoyed it so nothing to complain about.

As I was staying directly opposite I took the opportunity to visit
but a walk out into the English channel on a cold wet and windy day was not seeing at it's best and another month later probably
will see it bustling.

Met my partner here for our first date and first time at the pier, we paddled, had afternoon tea on the pier, ice cream and watched a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. A perfect date and location with clean water to swim in. Oh and remember beach is pebbles so ensure you have flip flops! X

Not much to say it's a pier in winter. We went for afternoon tea in the cafe but was disappointed. Has a small area of slot machines and of course wonderful views of Beachy Head and all the wonderful buildings of Eastbourne.

Pier full of arcades and gift shops. Had coffee in cafe. Slow service. 1 guy seemed to be doing all the work . Not enough active staff and ceiling was mouldy looking

We enjoyed a lovely stroll down the pier and back on a very cold Sunday morning. Well kept & very clean area fortunately not filled with the detritus & tat usually found on English seaside piers.

Went on a wet and windy Saturday in March. Had a walk along the pier and had a cream tea in the tea room. Weird decor that looks like a Chinese restaurant/ballroom but had a nice cuppa. Couple of shops selling rock, fudge etc. Was going to get some chips but the chip shop shut early. Not surprised, we were the only ones there. Would probably be much nicer on a warmer day.

Great place to have a walk and view of Eastbourne. There are a few shops selling cheap trinkets which adds to the seaside feel. The cafe Victorian Teas Rooms best avoided until they can make a decent cup of coffee. The building at the end can be hired for parties and events.

I first visited the pier almost 30 years ago when I moved to
Eastbourne for work & there have been many changes

The large noisy arcade has gone and with it all the negatives
that tthey attract

The are smaller 2p amusements for young children & these
appear to be much better

The Pier has a tea / coffee shop a bar a night club & even fish
& chips & gift shops but the best thing is the wide open space
which is a great selling point & I'm sure would be exploited in
the Summer Months . In the winter months though it can be very
cold & windy

The Pier is in good condition & is now probably a more traditional
attraction having lost the huge arcade in short a great place for a
family to spend an hour or so
