This pier I grew up around, it's such a shame that there was a fire which burnt down the arcade. So now it is missing a decent arcade which all piers should have. That said, it is nice to have the open area now, although it could do with more benches. There isn't many facilities on the pier though.

Pier is a nice little walk, with numerous little shops and arcades, with a nice bar at the end for a quick refreshing drinks etc.. the Victorian afternoon tea shop is cute

Every seaside town should have one and the pier at Eastbourne is great. It has it all - cafes, amusements and shops.

Got up early Sunday at left home to arrive in Eastbourne by 9 am as knew parking would be an issue. Found a spot on the seafront near out hotel. Parking in Eastbourne us well priced compared to Brighton. Eastbourne us generally very pretty and has a nice beach. The pier is very nice and love the tea room on the pier. We took a sight seeing tour of Eastbourne in the sun which was a nice trip. We visited the car show which was free and enjoyed that too. We struggled with the sea front not having many places to go for a drink and as a bitter drinker was not impressed with the lack of Harvey's or near by made longman. Other real gripe, the chip shop on the pier. Dreadful. Oven chips cooked in a frier with smallest piece of cod going served by a grump providing smallest portion going didn't bode well. Avoid at all cost. So evening came. After seeing no bar on the pier headed into town. No much there either. Went to Italian restaurant which was good. Hotel for a cheap stay was adequate and made the trip worthwhile. Apart from girlfriend tripping on wonky pavement and almost ending up in hospital would say despite Eastbourne being bit run down and in need of investment is a nice pace and will come back someday.

Such a lovely pier with plenty of seating areas. Ideal in the summer with kids. We enjoyed the gift shops and stunning views.

The pier is the perfect place to go for a walk, unwind and relax in a good old fashioned seaside way.

The Eastbourne pier is like any other pier with the usual things ice cream fish and chips and amusement arcade. It’s a pleasant walk and quite a wide pier. As your in Eastbourne I would say go for a walk! Came Sunday/Monday and both days pier closed. Maybe come May it remains open in the evenings.

Some of the main buildings on the pier were lost in a fire several years ago. So it doesn’t have quite the same look and feel to it it once did. That said it’s part of Eastbourne’s heritage and as such deserves a visit. Can be full of kids/students at times.

We went for a stroll along the pier the other day and saw some attractive glass objects in a shop near the end. So we popped in to browse and were nearly put off by the lady running the shop. It felt like we were a nuisance spending money in her shop and she was pretty short with the customers in front too. Why do people like that run a shop?
The rest of the pier was fun!

Enjoyed a very breezy walk along this traditional pier. There's a lovely looking and reasonably priced tea room, jazz theme restaurant and small shops. Stunning views out over the sea.

The pier is a beautiful attraction on the sea front. Flowerbeds planted immaculately line the walk way towards it and the view out to sea is lovely. It's a shame a lot of the lights have been broken and not repaired as their old charm adds another layer to the history of the area. Nice to go to for a stroll with a view.

Still a lovely pier with lots of different things to do and see, as well as enjoy the breeze once you get out over the water. However, I remember this pier as a child and so much that was once here has gone. It is only hoped that in time it is all restored to its former glory.

Nice, but not very long. Great palce to loose some of your money in gaming shop. However, you can have a lunch and rest on the one of the picnic areas.

I love visiting piers and doing all the typically seaside things and I’ve been here 2-3 times but the last time we went half the amusement machines didn’t work, only 2 cash changing machines worked ( out of three arcades!) and I appreciate it’s only April but we get a lot of tourists from foreign counties all year round so come on Eastbourne Pier, sort it out!

Tea room on the pier looks lovely and I’ll try it next time I visit

When staying in Eastbourne walked along the pier with my sister in law and showed her the sights of the town from there. I have visited this pier dozens of times in the last 70 odd years and I never cease to enjoy it. It is very well kept with nearly all the original architecture although sadly the shoreward pavilion was burnt down a few years ago

Classic seaside pier, very cute and also has nice views. you have small restaurants inside, and slot machines. You dont have a lot to do, so 15 min top should be enough. But still worth checking it out.

The pier looks more like the Taj Mahal than a pier. No regular toilets on the pier but some great views.

had a short visit to Eastbourne this weekend, decided to try the food in the pub right at the end of the pier, it was beautiful, real value for money, and the taste did not lack because of the price! Great portion size, and great quality food, salad served with the sandwiches was lovely, not just a dry side salad.
Would defo visit again.

Loved the fact that it has not been turned into just another venue for arcades of slot machines.
Don't miss the opportunity to sample the tearoom in the centre of the pier - cream teas served in what has to be the classiest pier venue I've been in - complete with chandeliers, proper China cups and big teapots!!

No visit to Eastbourne is complete without a walk out onto the pier. It is quintessentially English south coast, designed and constructed in the 1800s. Actually, the pier has quite the interesting history behind it! There are restaurants, cafes, cotton candy trolleys, and stands with owners selling their wares and the pier extends quite a ways out over the water. While we were there, a Halloween parade (consisting of adults and children marvellously decked out in costumes) marched along Grand Parade out into the pier. It was quite a sight and great fun to see Eastbourners having fun. By the way, if you go to the end of the pier, you’ll be able to get some great photographs of the delightful row houses and buildings on Grand Parade.

What do we want from a pier these days?

Fish & Chips? You got it.

Tacky gifts? Oh yes. They have these in abundance 👍 we are very proud of our crab fridge magnet 🦀

Dodgy Amusements? They have these. No pier should be allowed without them.

Jazz Bar/Pub with leopardskin thrones for seats? Yep 👍 this is here too.

We had a fun couple of hours after a few vinos. Lost £2 worth of 2ps on the slots (we were definitely winning at one point!) and had a nice drink in the bar at the end of the pier which had some really random but quite likeable decor.

Didn’t see any candy floss tho!

Great view of the place from the pier. Make sure you visit - when in Eastbourne.

Had a lovely day in Eastbourne. The pier is lovely for a walk and a few arcades. Nice chip shops in vicinity and a stones throw away from the town centre.

Compared with Brighton’s pier Eastbourne has a very cute, much prettier and enjoyable pier. I prefer it during a stroll
