Easy to walk round and views from the end are lovely. The Victorian tearooms were a delight and the food very tasty. It was nice to see they actually use loose tea.

So it's a Victoria pier. Nearly came to disaster when it had a fire. Mercifully the fire only destroyed the hideous arcade which so far, thankfully, the hasn't been replaced.

The pier has a new owner who has spent some money on it but not so sure about he gold paintwork.

Not much for children but worth a walk round the pier especially on a stormy day.

There is a tea room half way down and a bar at the end. Obligatory chip shop and a few. Souvenir type shops.

One visit is probably enough.

Good but i thought it might fall into the sea. Also the sweet shop is somewhat lacking. Had a nice walk though.

All you'd expect from a UK pier. Amusements to spend pennies in. Shops selling rock and glass. Tea shop and views along the coast. Free to enter and lovely for a promenade.

We went to Eastbourne in mid Feb, so it wasn't that busy, we had a lovely afternoon tea in the Victorian Tea Room and a drink in the Jazz bar near the end.

When the sun shines on this structure the gold paint of the domes against the brilliant white of the architecture gives it such a brilliant effect
Looking back to the Grand Parade from the end of pier is also worth the walk

Lovely views and walks along the pier. The pier has been well reconstructed since the fire. Very family friendly and pleasant cafe area.

The pier was gutted by a fire two years ago- 3 hours after we visited with our grandsons from London-No connection i hope!! Now refurbished by new owner Sheikh Gulzar as council had no money to spare. The new gold domes shine in the sunlight although they were initially painted without planning permission. We still enjoy using the pier but others obviously hanker for the past!. Fortunately the owners have now taken down the notice which read "The Sheikh's Pier"!!

What a lovely clean and charming place. The day we ventured on the pier I am sure it was blowing a hurricane but the surface was not slippery and there was plenty to hang on to. There a lovely glass shop on the pier which sold wonderful things at very reasonable prices and also the normal touristy shops selling their usual wears.
A jazz and blues bar at the end if wonderful and is a welcome sit down point.
All in all a great place and all for nothing 😀😀

Not much to say really, had a little walk along and was nice. We popped in bar at the end which we liked the decor but the drinks were not good! There’s a few shops a cafe and amusements, we didn’t really bother with them was too cold. Don’t think this time of year is the best time to go.

Beautiful pier in the centre of Eastbourne. Could easily visualise walking down the pier in Victorian dress. There is a small number of amusement arcades if that’s what you like along with a glass making store. The pier provides for beautiful views and some great photographic opportunities.

I love a pier so had to have a stroll on this one during a trip to Eastbourne. However, it was a very windy and cold day, which didn’t make for pleasant strolling! There are lots of little amusement arcades dotted along the pier, a large, lovely looking restaurant half way along (which does an afternoon tea) and a club further to the end. There is also a fish and chip shop, sweet shop and a few other things near the entrance. We didn’t actually go in anything but the reason for giving it a 3 is that I’ve seen better piers.

Always a must and free. Nice views of the town and recently re painted and looks good. Following the recent fire large open area replaced amusement arcade near entrance. Area is attractive with many picnic tables but signs say no food to be bought onto pier , assume to protect food outlets on pier , slightly disappointing but as entrance free can't really moan.

Visited on a chilly sunny February day. Great views of coastline and promenade from the pier. Great decorative features with the golden domes and lion heads. The restaurant on the pier looked inviting although we did not visit it. A couple of little souvenir shops to browse too.

The pier was ok but nothing compared to Brighton pier. The 2p pushing machines were generous though - regularly churning out 2p’s just dropping down which then became free cash to play with.

On a sunny day the pier would have been lovely to sit and enjoy but on the Saturday we were there it was raining all day and the sea was like sludge so was fairly miserable!

The fish & chip shop did good chips (& sausage for our sons) & the staff were very friendly.

I recently visited Eastbourne Pier twice, the first time with my dear friend Derek and the second time with a group of French business students.
Eastbourne Pier has got to be one of the finest examples of Victorian Piers in existence. It boasts so many facilities that one could easily spend the entire day on there. They even have a glass blowing facility that has been trading for nearly 50 years. Well worth a visit - you won't be disappointed!

Eastbourne Pier was looking very smart with gold domes now. It is a very historic and lovely pier which has managed to stay standing all these years.

Having never been to Eastbourne before a visit to the pier was a must on the only dry day we had during our 5 day stay and it was certainly worth it. Only a couple of shops were open, it was January after all, and what impressed us were the number of seats available, not just bench seats but the table and bench type that can be used for picnics, lovely. Also, there was no charge to go on the pier unlike others we have visited. The whole experience was most enjoyable if a little bracing in the wind but we would love to return during the summer months and stay longer to take it all in.
