Eastbourne seems to be a very calm and quiet place to be.
The pier is nice but lacks in things to do, and there doesn't seem to be much to do. Although it is nice to see it once, it's not something that would pull me back frequently.
Although all in all, it was a nice day

Spent a lot of time on this Pier. There is plenty of seating. Has been rebuilt to a good standard and is not packed with lots of arcades .Very family friendly . A lovely tea room and plenty of food outlets clean and children seemed to like been able to just run and everyone seemed realy pleased with the pier.

Congrats to the Sheik (apart from the awful pun Sheiks Pier), The pier is looking in good repair apart from the pathetic vandalism of the old fashioned lamp-posts. Perhaps more security video cams? Put the vandals in stocks!

Absolutely fantastic day watching the Airshow

It was crowded on the beach but worth it for the scenes we encountered.

Red arrows to F16 and parachutists plus not forgetting the most important display by wartime plans who saved our country during dreadful times.

The pier is nice although the arcade are very small so would be very busy in crowds. There are lots of picnic tables but you are not allowed to take on picnics but there wasn't many outlets so big crowds if busy.

The amusements are spaced out across a number of small arcades which is nice and avoids lots of people all being in one place which can be hard to manage with children. Our two boys (9 and 11 years old) certainly enjoyed themselves and it is amazing how far £1 of 2p pieces can go!

The Victorian pier has suffered over the years but it has sufficient local support to keep it up to date in terms of repairs, modernisations, and styles of venues. A nice old-fashioned walk along the pier to watch the sea and the anglers can be relaxing, if a bit windy at times. There’s a nice tea shop and a very popular chip shop. Look at the local information on the internet to get some ideas on the entertainments through the Summer.

Great views and lovely tea and cake in the Tea Room in the centre of the Pier. Visit Best Western for cream tea if possible too.

Was there few days ago with my family. Kept saying "wow", "wow, look at the weather, how clean is that?" The water was clear blue, the beach was clean, flowers everywhere. Was a bit hard to find a parking space but that didn't let to bug us.
Only thing by the evening it got a chilly, so we were wishing that would have brought some warmer clothing. A perfect place in summer time to go somewhere with your family.

We missed the big amusement area at the end of the pier, and felt it either needed to go upmarket like southwold pier or more excitement like a Brighton pier. This felt a little empty.

The pier is looking good with its new gold domes. I understand the council objected which shows how petty minded planners can be. We think it is a nice place to walk up and get a fine view back to Eastbourne.

Despite the fire a couple of years ago it's still an eye catching landmark. Well worth a visit to explore the pier. Very photogenic, recommend you also visit after dark if open.

A nice traditional pier, good fish and chips, tea room and some good arcades. Nice to relax on when it is sunny, plenty of space to sit down. Just don't use the 'Zoltar' fortune telling machine - it doesn't give out your fortune... we were disappointed with this ☹️

The pier is like the rest of Eastbourne. Very clean and well-maintained. It has the usual pier 'attractions' but this is traditional Britain after all. On a sunny day with pleasant background music it is a satisfactory experience.

Eastbourne pier has risen from the ashes after the fire that destroyed the middle bit. It has a very pleasant seating area, several shops (including a welcome return for the glass blower), and a good restaurant/bar.

The large and slightly tacky amusement hall near the pier entrance is now an open area with picnic tables (for food bought on the pier) Smaller amusements remain but highlights are an excellent Victorian Tea room, gift shop, glass blowers shop , pub , chip shop and other eateries. For those under half my age a nightclub also does its thing (partly covered in foam!) and helps dispel the image of Eastbourne purely being god's waiting room ! Only shame is no fishing platform at end of pier now

Eastbourne Pier is attractive and well maintained. Good views from the Pier looking back to the coastline. Land train goes down the length.

It's a pier... nicely maintained, but the usual amusement arcade-why?.... but a nice walk, good views of Eastbourne ...and lots of seagulls!!!

As piers go it's a fine example. Offering a well maintained walkway into the sea. The usual attractions fish and chips, souvenir shop, one giving demonstration of glass blowing. Restaurant with delightful looking cakes to test the waist line and give a man shape.
My favourite pier is still Worthing pier. Just offers a little more. However Eastbourne is still a delight and to miss would be a wasted opportunity.

Passing by on holiday I visited Eastbourne Pier , no charge to enter .Lots of slot machines and food stalls and a large pub at the furthest point nothing to write home about your normal pier .

A fun walk along the boards, missing the gaps!
Sunny but breezy, as the sea lapped below your feet. Nice traditional pier.

Piers are walkways built out into the sea. And somehow became amazing. Everyone loves to walk over the sea.

Eastbourne Pier is a great example of a Victorian pier, and the reduction in slot machine nonsense after the fire improves it in my opinion.
